Some first time home buyers are under the impression that just because they pay for an inspection that they are covered by insurance when problems arise down the road. Only to find they are S.O.L. ( I say first time buyers cause most find out they got screwed .)
I think most inspectors work for the real estate agent instead of the purchaser. A good honest and comprehensive inspection is worth it's weight in gold. ( well maybe not at todays market price) but you know what I mean.
@manholewisdom Thank you for watching. You are correct about some inspectors who work for agents. It is those inspections that go bad after the home buyer moves in. Then they call the agent back to complain. The agent tells them to call their home inspector. My inspection takes 3-4 hours.I check the home like it was my daughter’s home. I document with 200-300 photos, 30 min of on-going voice recordings and provide a 35 pager report with a 2000-3000 voice transcribed summary on the last 5 pages.
Hee hee hee! I work as a consultant here in France and my basic rate starts at 200 euros, half of which is immediately lost to taxes and social charges. People don't want to pay -- they want FREE. Crazy!
@slobomotion Thank you for watching. I been checking out your videos and also the ones you sent me on real-estate. WOW, I loved the Florida vacant building one and the China empty city one. The China video with new empty cities blows my mind. PS I charge $295 American and about $150 goes to tax, EO, MED, Phone, CAR and expenses. THAT REMINDS ME, I am going to Detoit to make a vacant house vidoe. I will post it this winter when done.
@Clevelandmarko Yes, I don't know where people think all our reasonable expenses are supposed to come out of! I continuously have to turn down work here in France because I'd actually lose money. They get SO annoyed, but hey! I have a legal background and am accustomed to providing full documentation. If they want the KFC version of a consultant, I wish 'em luck with all THAT!
@Clevelandmarko Two channels I recommend are EconCat88 and RichVoyages. The former has an Ohio connection and the latter is real estate related but mostly moving things out quickly and storing and cleaning up. I have never met either man personally but they strike me as being decent people.
