@Giovannisenzaterra But he's not convinced that Mussolini made the call either. It might have been Farinacci some say. There are alot of theories. I do know that Matteotti also exposed some dealings Mussolini made with U.S Standard Oil.
@DaHonestAbe 1)That`s interesting.I`d say anyway that it must be considered that if it was just up only to Mussolini ,may be the fascism hasn`t happened ,as we know it at least.Mussolini in 1921made a treaty with the socialists ,entered a harsch strife with the `squadristi`,and recovered a project of 1918 trying to faund a new party, the National Labour Party, that vahe nothing to do with the nazifascism
@Giovannisenzaterra 2)so I`d say that we mustn`t consider what Mussolini did ,until a certain period,as what the fascism really was.About Emilio Gentile, among the various scholars, personally I listen to him because he`s now considered very very high, from the `Ivy leagues people` to the french SciencesPo.30 years of stuies about this issue,ex pupil of De Felice, with a no right neither marxist perspective, but just very objective. Let me recommend him to you.
@Giovannisenzaterra I already own a copy of Italian Road to Totalitarianism. Gentile is very good. It is especially pertinent that he is Italian, therefore he has better access than other western scholars. I would also recommend, "The Anatomy of Fascism" by Robert O. Paxton. He is one of the better non Italian scholars on the subject. Let's talk more about this.
@DaHonestAbe Thanks for your advice.I was impressed,so to speak, also by the theory of Prof. Domenico Losurdo whose opinion is that the nazifascism made central and extreme the racial theories so popular all around the western culture from 1800 to part of 1900,as far as concerned the treatment of the `inferior races`.Losurdo mentions the so called `scientists of race` ,the same I found in a book about the italian emigrations (where for some of these `scientists` italians were kind of `negroes
@Giovannisenzaterra ..in disguise`).Losurdo also states that Hitler in particular intented to apply exactly, but harscher, the western colonial theories and methods to the eastern Europe and Russia, including the jews in the non/arian races of course, with a en plus of dangerousness because many of them were bolscevic not to mention Marx himself had jew origins. So Losurdo saiys Hitler and Mussolini weren`t aliens from Mars at all!
I have loaded the videos `domenico losurdo nazisme fascisme`
Prof. Emilio Gentile is not conviced at all that Mussolini didn`t want the death of Matteotti.
