  • This seems to be a tribute to Pink Floyd's Echoes, cool

  • best

  • Long Live Rock..!

  • For reasons not easy to understand, just as Germans produced the best composers, the Brits gave us the best Rock bands. The bands from other countries, even if you include Scotland and Wales, do not even come close.

Whether this is something to be proud of, needless to say, is another question.

  • Just another great song from the Heep. Thanks guys.

  • I saw these guys in Maine in the 70's! ...WICKED (or I was just wiped)...or both!

  • Heep created magic between 72 and 75. Their best years !

  • Uriah flying high, very high. If you know the popular music of seventies, you'll realize this is a great song. At a tragical highness I think rock have fewer times flied. In fact, I think this album surpass pop music.

  • all the best group a band are from england yeaa not from usa

  • @andopedon Don't you think that's a bit of an inflammatory comment? There were just as many good American bands as there were English back in the day (and I'm saying this as a big-time fan of Brit bands like Heep, Sabbath, Purple, etc). Even great bands like Nazareth were from places like Scotland, not England, so I don't see where you come off saying that good bands only come from England. Of course, nowadays, just about all music made on either side of the Atlantic is complete shit.

  • @ClydeCash1973 Oh fuck man you mentioned my favorite band of all time Nazareth. They are my Gods. And of course I love The Heep also one of my all time faves. But I couldn't resist to comment to a person who mentioned my favorite band of all time. Bless you man and rock on. I fucking love Nazareth and Uriah Heep.

  • @andopedon zepelin, deep purple.black sabath- the beatles etc. all from england jeje

  • @andopedon yes!!! the british gave the best rock I've heard, they really got that talent in the veins!!

  • @Mauri959 yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss is true

  • @Mauri959 THERE´S NO DOUBT

  • heavy,tasty, no match...

  • reading some of the comments here..

Personally, I think this song and the four others I mentioned in previous comment are about varying stages of soul "retrieval", the process of becoming whole and integrated again. Acknowledging and embracing one's "shadow self".

This album finally "spoke" to me in 1996--a year I considered to be, for me, a "dark night of the soul" experience. This record was very instrumental(no pun intended) in my psychological/spiritual summation of that process.

  • Had this record for a few years before it "took".

What is that haunting whistling, whining instrument? It kinda sounds like a theramin..

This song is great, "Sunrise", "Blind Eye", "Rain" and "Tales" too.

  • @argosatori Yes, it is a Theramin, Circle of Hands is great too, I agree with youe selection of songs!!! Cheers!!!

  • Excellent vocals

  • wup wup wup wup for an absolute killer band.

  • Unfortunately guitars solos aren't heard here.. but song is fucking great

  • THANK you for REAL MUSIC, AS in .... TALENT.

  • My favourite heep song and favourite all time song

You can hear every note every guitar and keyboard sound

  • The best UH song ever - Who has worked out what it means - beyond the dead??

  • Haven't heard this song in over 2 decades. Wow! Really takes me back. Such a great song. B tracks forever!

  • una de las mejores rolas de uriah heep :)

  • Great song, one of their best. Thanks for posting it.

  • Gary Thain looks quite unhappy in the picture

  • @jimmywires500 he was loaded...

  • @jimmywires500

Why pick out Thain?..Byron and Kerslake don't look happy either .

Mick Box looks like Shadrack Dingle !

  • Wonderful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEEP

  • kneel b4 the masters of lyrics

  • Great sliding guitar throughout this track.

  • @malgernon it was a guest steel peddle guitarist...

  • @stupididiot13 Right - cheers. I'd assumed it was Ken Hensley. Then the guest's contribution for me is the memorable part.

  • @malgernon when this album was released i only liked a few songs from it . tho heep was my favorite band magicians B.D being the best but as i grew older all the songs used to skip became my favorites....

  • @stupididiot13 I know what you mean, the way the slow burners eventually take hold. I've only found Uriah Heep this past year.

  • @stupididiot13 THE SAME HERE. The older I get, the more I return to the songs I used to know but skip then.

  • this is a great hit¡ congratulations to this group¡

  • Great killer song, this was my favorite song on this album and this is IMO Heep's best album.

  • @Doobie1975

Doobie - absolutley mine too. Worked out what this song is all about yet?

  • @w011500 Nope, I just love the music and the lyrics to this song
