  • Maybe there is an afterlife. WHo can tell for sure? What we CAN tell for sure is that this moron DOES NOT communicate with the deceased. They are two completely different things.

  • Woo woo?

  • This video is typical of the lengths the skeptics will go to.. to discredit something that goes against a personal belief.

If you watch the entire video interview which goes for 20 mins... you will see Shatner is nothing but interested in what John Edward is saying and even goes as far as saying he beleives.

Yet the moron skeptic that uploaded this video takes 50 seconds out of context to make it look like Shatner is belitting him when he wasn't.

You guys have serious ego issues don't you?

  • @frankmat I posted this video as a joke cause it made me laugh thats all.

I do not need to discredit John Edward as he did that himself when he got caught hot reading TWICE!!

  • @BadPsychicsTV I'd love to see this so called evidence of John Edward being caught "hot reading twice".

There was 1 accusation years ago from someone who said at a show he was asked questions by staff members before the show about a family tree etc yet when investigated it was proven to be false.

Not a single person from that show said they were approached by anyone... and JE has done 100s of shows and 10,000s of readings and yet not a single person has ever "ratted him out"

  • @frankmat

but i think it is about more than discrediting a belief , This is about a whole industry and other individuals making a ton of money out of peoples misery and loss . And robbing them blind by convincing them at what they supposedly "know"

  • @darkstar1345a The fact is... if you are an atheist and/or don't believe in the afterlife then of course your going to think he is robbing people blind.

People who do believe see it as one of the most healing beautiful things that can happen to you after you have lost a loved one. What gives people the right that don't believe something to call someone a fraud?

That doesn't mean he actually is robbing people blind. That's not evidence that's personal opinion.

  • @frankmat

It is a fact that there are more convictions in this area . Remember Derek Acorah`, so called spiritualist . Your claim that faith alone proves that there is no fraud and deception is not enough merely because most psychics every year are getting caught out . It is Cold reading and psychological techniques such as NLP , that is the true source behind these "visions " . the truth is its bullshit carried on by disreputable con men .

  • @darkstar1345a Wrong again. Cold Reading is a "technique"... much in the same way hitting a golf ball right handed is a technique. That's not EVIDENCE that you are unable to hit a ball left handed though.... and this is the problem.

"Cold Reading" is a flawed theory that conveniently explains about 70% of a mediumship reading but you can apply that to a conversation between 2 people and somehow use that to prove they don't actually know each other they are just pretending to.

  • @frankmat

Evidence ? i never used cold reading as evidence , I used it as an example of how con tricksters go about their business. It goes to show how YOU and your CON ARTIST friends defend each other .shows me what side of the morality pool you like to swim in . I find it hypocritical of you on one hand talking about faith and belief and in the next sentence demanding proof ! It is also not upon me to present proof re mediums it is upon the claimer to prove it .

  • @frankmat

And not forgetting that if this was true why arent the major religions using this wonderful tool to further advance their ceremonies . Because its not real and " psychics " dont exist . How do you know i dont believe in an afterlife ? just because i reject the evidence that con artists provide , doesn`t preclude the possibility . I am saying that medium ship is CRAP and there is no way to have contact with beyond .

  • I met Bill Shanter(?) in NYC back in 1995 and I reached over his limo and pointed at him and said "Bill, they set me up" and instead of saying "What are you talking about? Hop in and let's talk___he left a Gentile, homeless, on the streets of Manhattan__isn't that Homicide life on the streets of Manhattan? The real Shatner and his wife were found dead a few years later in LA? Maybe if he had picked me up___?

  • JE is a Martian Klan Kike and he can communicate with the hive-heads and also scan the thoughts of every human person in the audience. JE is not telling the truth nor is the American gov't telling the truth about the Martian Klan or god race that has enslaved and is exterminating human Gentiles. The Martian Klan Kikes are telepathic, mind controlling, collective scumbags. So, when JE is talking to a guest he is also using telepathy__oops! I pulled the curtain back, sorry. Shanter? Contact US!

  • Woo woo?

  • Shatner just gained an enormous amount of respect from me with these words. How many times have we seen a TV personality say something like this to the face of one of these charlatans?

  • it's all about dat WOO WOOOOO

  • It baffles me that people still believe this shit after it's shown again and again that this guy is a fraud.

  • @Kamma8 Its amazing what people will believe. Look at how many people worldwide strongly believe in a religion. They have no proof besides a book and anecdotal "evidence" and yet they believe it so strongly that in many cases their lives revolve around it.

This is no different. Its an irrational and ignorant belief but if people wish to be so naive then I say leave them be.

  • Thank you Shatner

  • well done , Mr shatner, for asking the question.cheers for posting:)

  • Woo bet John Edward get loads of mental chicks it really is a shame people believe in this shite.

  • Shatner is the man!

  • I do wish William Shatner had grabbed him by the neck and wrestled him to the floor in that footage. Of course, law suits would have abounded, but at least I would have been happy...and that's all the matter, right? Right?....anybody? Hello? Operator? Oh beep!

  • Shatner won't buy anything short of the Vulcan Mind-Meld.

  • That's why he was the best Star Trek captain. He's ballsy.

  • Love Shatner for this

  • Hey if Denny Crane calls it woo woo, then it's woo woo. Denny Crane!!!

  • Don't care what anyone else says about him; the Shat is the Man.

  • please lord just let me take a big shit on his forhead !!!!! im begging u lord

  • Shatner sets his phaser on debunk.

  • Always been a fan of the Shatner and to hear him say that was extra sprinkles on a cake made of awesome.

  • Woo woo indeed, and right to his face on an awkward chair! I love it!

  • It's all woo woo. Damn right.

  • Classic :)

  • wooo wooo

  • Do you have or know of a clip that CLEARLY shows Edwards' deceitfulness?

Cuz he's damn good and I would like to know once and for all, the truth about mediums.

Cuz the police force uses "mediums", and the law won't allow bull shit.

  • Type "john edward dateline exposed" into google.

And the police do NOT use mediums. Psychic may volunteer information, but no psychic has ever helped solve any crime ever, unless they were the cause! Dont believe what psychics tell you, they lie by trade, its what they do

  • Okay, yes I actually found badpsychics website. (dont know if its urs or not but)

    Very interesting and extremely pursuasive.

    (1) Dateline expose his deception

    (2) his techniques of rapid fire generic questioning ectectect.

    (3) EDITED tv show - so obvious...

Yet, this had never crossed my mind. duh

The only thing in which psycos still give me pause is that they're extremely skillful; kinda like a brand new car salesman who sells 10 more cars than anybody a month cuz of natural skill.

  • Of course its my site lol, see the info of this very video!

  • I dunno that he is all that skilful. He often goes through multiple options before he gets it right, like 'I sense he died in June, July, August...' And then he'll stick to ridiculously vague statements like, 'I'm sensing that the day of his death was unusual'. And when he goes out on a limb and gets it catastrophically wrong, he just says that some other ghost is talking to him. if you're making that many guesses every day of course you're occasionally gonna be right first time.

  • @BadPsychicsTV

    Ever watched Psychic Detectives dumbass?

They assist police all the time. There are hundreds of testimonies from reputable law enforcement officers and high ranked detectives.

  • @fourp1ay Let them demonstrate their powers under controlled, scientific conditions. James Randi will award any psychic 1 million dollars if they can pass his test.

  • @EnigmaHood However Mr. "Amazing" has repeatedly refused to state what he would accept as proof or how any Medium could pass his test. So with no way for anyone to pass, it is nothing more than a PR stunt to attempt to prove his point to anyone unwilling to see that it was never set up so anyone could win.

How can anyone pass a test that has NO acceptable results???

  • @VeryFineWhine Sure he does, he always describes the test beforehand, even before the person agrees to take the test. There's an interview he did with Larry King where he describes the test very clearly.

  • @VeryFineWhine Actually, you're wrong, he's actually very clear about what would constitute proof. You can actually look up the conditions of the tests that have been carried out. Any honest person would agree that they were perfectly fair. Even the psychics usually agree they're fair... until they fail and they start changing their story. The reason it is set up so no one could win is because it requires you to prove you can do the impossible. If anyone were ACTUALLY psychic, it would be easy.

  • @BadPsychicsTV Sorry this is totally incorrect. TONS of Mediums work with police and many (both Mediums & Psychics) have PER POLICE helped solve cases. And BTW all Mediums are Psychic but not all Psychics are Mediums.

Anyway I personally know of 3 Mediums who worked w/police. But they aren't the famous TV Mediums so they aren't splashed all over the media. Plus I have seen quite a few TV shows that focused on just this, with some hard nosed Cops saying they never believed but do now.

  • @VeryFineWhine I am sure many mediums try to help police, and there will be police who believe in this nonsense, but the fact remains that NO medium or psychic has ever helped solve a crime using their magial otherworldly powers.

Also you dont need to "BTW" me with info, I have investigated more mediums and psychics than anyone else in the UK, perhaps the world, I am the most experienced person when it comes to psychics and mediums you will ever meet.

  • @BadPsychicsTV Wish replies could be long enough here to really get into this intelligently. 1 know 1st hand of Mediums/Psychics leading police to solve what they could not. One lead DIRECTLY to a lost child, one sadly to remains, but both to exact location and described nearby landmarks. Just cause you don't know it, doesn't mean it has not happened.

2nd, my concern is you can investigate all u like, but if your mind is closed and already made up, that is not fair. See pt 2

  • Pt 2 Seems rather than go out, be totally object and out to simple investigate and learn what is TRUE (as I did), you are out to prove this is all a fraud. How many one on one readings have you had? How many unedited for TV lectures have u gone to with known Mediums? Most importantly, how many Spiritual Churches have you attended to see Mediums, not doing this for fame or profit, read and lecture? And have u had private readings with any of them??? Dang see Pt 3

  • Pt 3 Sorry but really wanted 2 get at least main pts in. I've read literally hundreds of books presenting all sides, from recent releases to those going back to the beginning of Spiritualism. I've also studied comparative religions. Nearly all have references to communication w/the "dead." Catholic Saints were canonized for it. Jesus was a Medium. And many are not aware the word "Medium" meant something different in Biblical times.

So have you really done all this & with an open mind??

  • @VeryFineWhine To answer your questions. I have had over 200 readings one to one, I hav investigated over 1000 mediums and their readings to others. I have been to spiritualist churches all over the country. I have seen over 50 live theatre mediumship shows, oh and I completed a mediumship course top of the class with a direct teaching lineage that included Gordon Higginson, Ron Jordan and Glynn Edwards. Trust me, I am the most experienced skeptic you ever met.

  • @BadPsychicsTV And you feel Glynn Edwards isn't a legit Medium?? He used to come to the States annually, I saw him at church and in large and small lectures and he was always very detailed and quite accurate in his readings.

And are you saying in those 200 readings, where I assume you did the usual replies of "yes, no or I don't understand" ONLY, which is all ANY legit medium wants, you never got any accurate communications? Sorry, I'm having a hard time believing that.

  • @VeryFineWhine And if you knew anything about skepticism, you would know that having an open mind is th very basic necessity of that. In fact believers are close minded as they have already made up their mind, Skeptics are open to new evidence.

Feel free to search for "bad psychics forum" and click the link to the Bad Religion forum (Recent name change), if you really think you know your stuff, well why not prove it. I am no armchair skeptic, everything you have done, I have done twice

  • @BadPsychicsTV Actually nearly all the skeptics I've had the "pleasure" of chatting with had never seen a legit Medium work live, never been to a Spiritual Church & never had a private reading, let alone done any research on it. I actually don't disagree with you that some believers are too fast to accept everything & rush to give a medium too many details. It's why I stick to what I mentioned below-"yes, no or I don't understand" replies only. BTW JohnE agrees everyone should be a skeptic.

  • @VeryFineWhine "had never seen a legit Medium work live, never been to a Spiritual Church"

By that logic you have no right to criticize my revolutionary new autism treatment of injecting lead particulate into the child. You haven't tried it yourself so you have NO right to criticize the treatment!

  • @VeryFineWhine "It's why I stick to what I mentioned below-"yes, no or I don't understand"

In other words the kinds of statements that are easy to make during a cold reading.

  • @VeryFineWhine

What' s your evidence for Jesus having been a medium? Are you thinking of the Transfiguration where he supposedly met Moses and Elijah on a mountaintop? Isn't it more likely just to be a legend? Other than that I can't think of anything that could be called mediumship. And what did the word "medium" mean in Biblical times according to you? The English word "medium" didn't even exist then, so I'm not sure what you mean.

  • @oliveranthonyrowland It would be far more pleasant if a question was asked as such, not as a berating challenge. SIGH. First, in biblical times the word "medium" referred to a soothsayer or fortune teller NOT someone who communicated with spirits.

As for the rest, I'd suggest you do some reading. It's far more complicated then I can do justice in a YouTube reply. But if you want a fast example of someone who was Canonized based on their ability to speak with the dead- St Gerard Majella.

  • @VeryFineWhine

Sorry if my question was not posed politely enough. I still don't know what you mean by saying in Biblical times "the word 'medium'" meant such-and-such. What word are you referring to? Obviously the English word "medium" did not exist. Are you referring to certain Bible passages? All I can think of is things like the passage that says do not suffer a witch to live and other verses that do not encourage anything related to magic, or mediumship or fortune telling etc.

  • @VeryFineWhine

And if you are specifically NOT referring to people who communicate with spirits, then why are you posting your comment on a video about a person who claims to talk to spirits. And when you say Jesus was a medium, do you then just mean he was a fortune teller or soothsayer? But then you go on to claim a certain saint used to communicate with spirits. So are you talking about the "soothsayer" or the "talker with spirits" meaning?

  • @oliveranthonyrowland And thank you for proving my point about how it is impossible to have a polite, intelligent conversation with a "skeptic." You took everything I said, twisted it in circles, tried to make what was crystal clear confusing and turned it into something else.

I'm not going to waste my breath answering as you clearly just want to twist and turn my words. But I'll have faith that anyone w/an open mind will be able to read & understand what I said.

  • @VeryFineWhine I couldn't help but notice you've provided no information that would help us verify your story about mediums helping the police. Most of the stories I see are mediums making some silly claim, then the police solving the crime independently, and the medium claiming their prediction was right, when they really said something extremely vague, and then made some very big stretches to make it sound right.

  • @VeryFineWhine "Sorry this is totally incorrect. TONS of Mediums work with police and many (both Mediums & Psychics) have PER POLICE helped solve cases"

Citation needed. Press releases and marketing materials put out by psychics don't count.

  • @halleyscomet I would criticize any Police Department that resorts to any form of superstition to solve crime. Even as a last resort.. personally I would feel that is an insult to the family of the deceased and the investigation it self. Again my opinion so don't hate.

  • @lucca990 No judge who belonged on the bench should even consider "evidence" gained through any such nonsense. If you want a case thrown summarily out of court, by all means, use a "psychic".

  • @Clifton100

    "damn good"?

I've seen his TV show, and it's the same dumb stuff all of them do. Do you have a relative with a name that starts with G? Anyone in this audience?

Even if you find that impressive, and I have no idea why anyone does, consider that he can film in the studio all day and only play the good parts on TV.

...and who told you that the police use psychics? THE FRIGGIN PSYCHICS SAID SO.

  • @dgdfhfghgfhgfgffjhj ::: They have made TV shows about psychics helping to solve crime, so you just might consider yourself wrong on this point.

  • @k0smon

OK, they made some TV shows about it so it must be true!

So if there was a TV show which said that JFK was not killed by Oswald, that must be true. But then there was a TV show which said that JFK WAS killed by Oswald! Must be some kind of time-space depression which melded 2 different universes.

  • @dgdfhfghgfhgfgffjhj Your assumption here is that the TV shows were fiction. They were presented as factual. Don't argue with me, argue with the TV producers if you think they lied.

  • @k0smon I have tried to explain this to you several times. Even if it was presented as fact, it´s still a TV show. You can´t believe everything you see on tv literally

  • @ebrobaru You seem to have this idea firmly in your mind that if it was a tv show, it can't be true. Sure they take licence, but basically it is factual. I don't seem to have the same problem with these shows that you do.

  • @k0smon It´s amazing that you really believe that. They take license? Ok, that´s a way to put it, I guess. Then again, I guess you think that the X-Files is real, with some "license" of course.

  • @k0smon

I am not assuming they are false, I am merely not convinced at all that they are true. They could be true, but there are all kinds of moronic TV shows which claim to be real. YOU presented them as an argument, which is kind of retarded.

  • shatner is a legend, this is awesome :)

  • woooo woooooo
