@gb1reinwald In most cases logic would be too much to ask for, lol, but in this case there is a logic. Bella is inmune to mental powers. Jasper's power isn't mental like Edward's or Jane's, for ex. It works on the body, not the mind. That's why his power affects her.

So when Jasper says "Happy..." he sees Bella's don't-say-it face and decides he better shut up, so he is like "Nevermind."

@Frixcon I think it's been explained in other comments here. Bella isn't immune to every special ability, she's immune to those who affect or have to do with her mind (that's why Edward can't read her thoughts, for example). Aparently Jasper's gift doesn't affect the mind but the body, he makes you phisically feel what he wants you to feel. That's why Bella isn't immune to him.

She works with your mind and make you believe you're in pain. Since her power is so strong you end up feeling like your body is hurting, but actually it's an illusion she creates in your mind.

Weather changes quickly, and Alice has more important stuff to see in the future, like Jasper going crazy over his bloodlust and killing someone, lol. Even Edward says in Midnight Sun that Alice was probably too busy checking on Jasper's future to check his as well. If she can't even check on her husband and her brother at the same time, how can she be paying attention to weather?
