  • Flare's way to soon and lose to much head speed

  • ouch!

  • Too soon on the collective + loss of headspeed = OUCH!

  • yes we are just checking out the crash videos to become better pilots

  • That's a bit of a heavy landing.. :)

  • boo hoo

  • How about you put "fake rc helicopter" in the title and maybe you wouldn't get so many thumbs downs

  • @andrewm153351 Why that 'fake'? There is nothing fake about an rc heli....

But it would be smart if he put something like: rc in the title...

  • Sure...checking out the crash videos so that you can become a better pilot...right....bet that's exactly it....

  • It's not that we are looking for ghoulish crashes. We study them to learn from other pp.'s mistakes because for us it's a matter of life and death.

  • Would you pol who fly these toys kindly put "RC" in the subject!

  • @rhd75 A thing that can kill you, is NOT a toy...

  • why are you flaring at the top? a flare should be done once near the ground....followed by a increase in pitch to a steady landing

    Thanks

  • Was anybody killed?

  • Ahhhh ha ha ha ha ha!

  • well, auto rotation was that??, that's playing with fire

  • wow

    fantastic landing

  • And for those people with sensitive sensibilities, I say, go look elsewhere and calm yourselves. These are the same people who put no time whatsoever into filming, editing, and uploading, yet can find some rationale in their criticism. These are also the people looking for ghoulish full-scale crashes and to those people I say, tough !!!!

  • I think people are torqued because you didn't put "RC" in front of "Helicopter" like you should have. It's like clicking on "Stock Car Crash" and seeing a clip from a video game.

  • If you watch the rotor you can see the rpm decay to early, (compare it to the earlier shot) Maybe a little collective still applied just dragged the rpm down resulting in no grunt left at the bottom (when you need it!!)

  • Hey sheephead (LOL), I was the guy shooting the video, NOT flying the heli...think, don't assume.

  • 7452 Calm the ******************** down, and go learn to fly a rc helicopter properly

  • thats what u get bitch

  • R/C's can't auto-rotate in an emergency like real 'copters?

    Lost of signal?

Did the electronics and servos survive?

  • @jsl151850b Rc's can autorotate...

  • My video, so I get to post what I think. PS...learn how to construct a simple sentence and get some lessons on spelling. No wonder this great country is in so much trouble.

  • is it just me or does the guy who put this video on get really pissed off that people try to comment on his video. he doesnt even really no for sure that the people wanted to see real heil crashes. i wasnt looking it up. i looked up rc heil crashes and this was on the list so i think he should take a chill pill and stop going off on people if he doesnt know whats going on

  • de heli lost signal

  • HAHA

  • that'll do it.

they make parts everyday for them.

    Right Dudes?

    Nice Vid.

  • No way. Your another one of those guys looking for some blood and guts video...too bad for you.

  • nice wipeout

  • Were you looking for something in the real-life blood and guts type of crash...oh, so sorry you didn't get your daily quota of death and mayhem.

  • Rofl!

  • @7452 great vid pity about the heli .. one thing that puzzles me i did,nt know that rc heli,s could auto rotate can they ?

  • Why could you not put "RC" in the video title???

  • what?

  • "Helicopter's descent was too fast for autorotation"

Bullshit, the autorotation itself controls the rate of descent, pilot failure, plain and simple.

  • Ahhh....poor thing didn't get to see a real live human disaster.

  • should have increased power at the last moment

  • how was everyone after that traumatic experience? i would have shat my pants .

  • It's a remote control helicopter..

  • You reckon ??

  • Shutter speed

  • HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!!

  • It wasn't that its ROD was too high, but that its forward speed was too low to convert to a flare.

  • well done, takes a lot of nerve to cope with that, hats off to yer

  • It's stupid comments from stupid people like you, that spoil you tube

  • ahahahaha so funny

  • haha lol

  • pwned..

why did u fly a rc heli when you dont know how

  • Flare later, your about 10m from the ground, and all the head speed you gain from the flare, is lost by the time your at the ground.

  • i thought thaat was a real copper i though he was gonna HIT THE GROUND!!!!!!!

  • Your a little bitch

  • LOL i thout this was a real heli then once i seen it by the runway i was like wtf.ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lol

  • I remember this, the crowd was silent but shortly thereafter the pilot gave the thumbs up and the crowd went WILD!!!!!

  • RC nitro helicopter aren't toys! it's a very precise mechanics and a very dangerous hobby...

So still you think we are kids?

  • The first one was nice.

  • wudent say his decent was to fast he flaring wayy way too early he flaring in the air you ment to flair right befor the deck to get the maximum head speed up =)

  • hahaha, me too

  • OHWOWOWOW STUPİD EHEEHE

  • flared to early

looks like to me.. many autos under my belt

  • LMAO!

    funny as hell! xD

  • nobody died..thank'x God..

  • hahahaha ^^

  • menikö vähä rikki

  • if it was more advanced, you could have turn the blades so you would kick start the other way

  • You screwed it up son.

  • oops!!!!!!

  • why bother autorotating? - you know it will end in tears lol

  • exactly its one of those things I don't ever practice because sooner or later you will fuck up i had 2 engine failures and let me tell you theres no need to practice you just have to control the rate of descent and at the las moment full lift does the job practicing auto rotation is only going to damage the choper cause of the not so smooth landings or crashes like this

  • So you can land if your engine fails maybe? Just a thought.

  • No, but the main blades can stall. I learnt this in a fullsize R 44 and you dont half sink then!

  • He means autorotation, like he wrote. It's the helicopter equivalent of deadstick, a safe landing when the engine is out. And Metallica, helicopters don't stall.

  • lol

  • LOL

  • As a helicopter pilot I can tell you that your second autorotation had an unsuccessful landing because you did not have enough forward airspeed to effectively flare (to slow descent and set down) Which is why you smacked the ground. Make sure you have sufficient forward airspeed before entering your flare. This will provide you with a good rotor rpm build and hopefully help with making nice full down auto's. Safe Flying

  • so did it stall wen i got to its peak, or was this some kind of manuever

  • now thats an ouch

  • well it looks like it was in pain but its probably still usable

  • NICE!!! very nice

  • They sure flew over your Iraq in 1991 and culled some of you're country's terrorist that you all seem to like and harbor.

Perhaps you would like us to leave so that you may be controlled and harassed by you're very own countryman and "neighbors""?

I would gladly spend good US money helping ourselves than give it to people who appreciate nothing whatsoever.

  • Why learning to autoratate without training gear with ping-pong balls on the sticks?

  • Coz if you got training legs on you shouldnt be more than a foot off the ground!

  • couldnt agree more there bjay13. When your learning to autorate the training gear should be long gone!

  • What I was trying to say: with training balls the copter would bounce, break skids or maybe scratch the blades but wouldnt bounce that happily while inverting exactly by 180 degrees! I think it was just the type of crash that was invited by not using training cross... I am learning inverted but still with cross - simply because when I got glitch, I still got enough skill to invert on time but usually not enough power to pull up and 'align' :-) with horizon perfectly.

  • Oh well, you can always get a new one on ebay.

  • That is pain full man, I've dun that on the sim b-4.

i always wonderd what it looked like in real life.

  • You flared to much at the beginning and killed your rotor rpm's.
