Yes, the need is great but the rules and costs are such it can be difficult adopting in Russia, Ukraine. They don't allow adoption by single males, I was going to adopt 1 or2 pre teen males but, I was turned down for that reason. To be honest if I had known that the US does,I probably wouldn't have tried. Had I realised that there are about 100K in the US waiting for a home I would have tried that first. I'm presently in the process of doing that and hopefully by summer this will be accomlished.
I think from the video your daughter is home in America - I hope so. She is a lovely and beautiful girl. We have a Russian-Ukrainian daughter now 15 who came home at age 5 1/2. She too is a wonderful girl.
