i'd kill for a better mix of this. the vocals and lyrics are so powerful. it''s up there with woodie guthrie pure americana stuff. what an amazing song.
Never seen this portion of this concert from '74. I have a copy of that concert on DVD and "The Railroad" in not on it. I wish it were, that was an awesome performance. In fact, I wish they would release all video footage available of all of GFR's performances from 1969 to 1976. Thanks for posting "The Railroad". Totally enjoyed it. Keep it Shinin' On! Roland
Don't mean to sound nasty but this concert was ACTUALLY on June 2, 1974 at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California. Accordind to pages 239 and 272 of Mark Farners autobiography: From Grand Funk To Grace: The Authorized Biography Of Mark Farner
You guys in America ,you have the chance of watching G.F.R live here in Malaysia only on DVD .G.F.R will always be my the best rock bannd in the world
You've done it again!! I was a college DJ at Ferris State University when this album came out. Of course the hit was "We're An American Band", and we played it in the "hit rotation", but I gravitated toward this track and began playing it on my evening "free format" show. The response was incredible! This brings back so many great memories. Thank you so much! Do you have any "Black Licorice" lying around? :-)
Clássica, coisa linda! <3
