@runeman464 thats because those are activated to sink cause when mario lands there they're unactive and when King Kaliente popped out they activate and when you beat him they unactuvate and become solid again

king kaliente popped out in the cutscene. they didnt sink until the cutscene ended.

your theory is stupid.

the real reason is that they're programmed to sink when mario is standing on them, however during the cutscene mario's not actually there.

and, seriously, its a platform with holes. they're gonna sink no matter what.

What? King Kaliente is REALLY the english name for this? It would fit more for the spanish name: the word "caliente" means "hot" and is used a lot!

The spanish name is "Frikipulpo", wich means something like "Freakoctopus". It sounds also good, but it's less Spanish!

To put it simply, a star is one, giant explosion. Or to be more precise, OUR SUN is more like two million atomic bombs going off every second, which is why the sun is so large and bright. It really depends on the size of the star.
