  • i use 365

  • I actually clicked the video so i can look the difference between "The Office" tv series. The old with the new one.

  • I use notepad when I'm only typing, but if I want to make a proper document with effects & pictures I use Word 2007.

  • why does it matter i can got both for free

  • You need to pay them every year.

    This is the message.

Hence they call it 2003, 2004, 2005 etc.

  • i love 2007 its so much better in so many ways but 2010 is no different except new logos so dont buy it! 2007 ftw!

  • i like 2003

  • 2007 is a lot better!!!!

  • office 03 & 07 was so easy for people to pirate.. About time microsoft does some changes in 2010 that makes it harder for piraters.

  • @Garyyx24 im running a pirated one.

  • hey, I just got OFFICE 2007 PROFESSIONAL 3 PCS FREE TO 2010, ACROBAT 9 PRO, WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE at very low price at website : discountingshop . The seller lives in La Jolla, CA 92093, softwares are PERFECT. Highly recommended!!!

  • well 2010 is about to be released

  • @JayzBeerz true

  • 2003 for the win. made when microsoft was still microsoft. buissnes people don't need aero look and shit like that

  • I'm using them the both

  • 2003 is old but its easier to use

2007 has better look and greater interface

  • artanis said."It's a pain to have to learn the GUI, but after using it constantly It is actually a lot more efficient" wouldn't it have been better to just add the new efficiency to the time trusted and excellent 2003 menu bars instead ?

  • same with excel -- I just tried to select a print area, pull down the print menu there is no function It is somewhere else! AND..on the print menu in Word there is no Print Preview button. I searched every menu and cant find it...Back to my other computer...with word 2003

  • Yeh but how do you LEARN the new ribbon interface? Coming from Word 2003 it is so UNintuitive. I just wanted to delete a column in a table...there's no delete - well yes i know there has to be - but after 5 minutes I went back to my other computer. Just dont have time to spend hours learning how intuitive and user friendly it is.

  • I hate 2007. The GUI is absolutely awful. It's like I always say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

  • I've been using Office 2007 for 2 years now. It's a pain to have to learn the GUI, but after using it constantly It is actually a lot more efficient. Much easier and faster to get documents to look professional. I do remember the days of hating the GUI. But after a while it's so hard to live without its efficiency.

  • microsoft has 1 upped mac with the ribbon! I'de like to see mac try to use a ribbon.

  • 2007 all the way :P

  • Frankly, 2007 sucks. The display is messy & distracting, the 'ribbon' is confusing and makes EVERYTHING harder to find. After weeks, I am still struggling to navigate around, rather than going to file or edit to find most of the useful keys, I now find myself having to search high and low for each individual function one at a time. And what's with 'HOME', how does that reflect the functions in it? The entire suit is difficult and time consuming unlike the previous user friendly version.

  • @jtking2504 the transition is a pain. I came across a search add-in that was pretty useful to find those hard to find functions. It doesn't work in access or outlook though.

Google: Search Commands Add-in Office 2007

It should be the first result but if not it is from officelabs(dot)com.

  • Cool, thanks for your tips. How have you found working with it long term, after this transition? Is it better than the older system?

  • I've been using 2007 for about 2 years at home but at work we still use 03 and I do prefer 07. It took a while to get use to the interface and that add-in was somewhat helpful though I starting using it a year after the switch. At first I used a flash site that let you click an item in the old menu system and it animated where it was in the ribbon. There is also another add-in that shows the old menu system it's $30 and I didn't want to get stuck in the past so I just spent a lot time learning.

  • thanx

  • good done good vid.

  • the big difference is when people with older office cant open files from people with office 2007.

  • yes u can, but u must do make some settings... search on youtube "change format to 2007" then the files will be like in 2003 and all office will open your files!

  • The difference is you have to pay again more money to do the same jajajaja, i will use office 97, 2003, 2007 to TYPE and SAVE. 90% of the people use all versions of office to do the same, Dont waste your money just beacause you want to have the latest. Use your common sense..

  • pshh who buys....

  • OMG every question i have for my pc this guy has a show about it !

  • you asked this?

  • Nope , I just searched for it in YouTube and boom there it was ! with my fav. computer guy :D

  • Lol

  • Nice job explaining, the miniscule differences in the two programs..

I have a question for anyone who has an answer, i would greatly appreciate it. I have tried everything under the moon except uninstall and reinstall the software. I want that to be the last resort

Question: "On my menu bar in MS Word my File properties is MISSING. Does anyone know how I can retrieve it & restore it back on my menu bar..Thnx

  • i got office 2007 sp1 and it seems very nice the only problem is it eats your memory up and it slows your computer up like hell and it crashes every 5 minutes i dont even have that bad computer ive got 2.66 ghz pentium procceser with 512mb of ram with xp and ive tweaked my system to make it really good but honestly if you have office 2003 keep it its no different it dosent eat up ram the obli differnce is the menues and the metalic light blue colour thats it

  • I HATE microsoft VISTA and Office 2007. They both are counter-intuitive and suck a time. I don't use them at all.

  • harsh. i mean i like apple better but still... harsh lol

  • Ok, thats like huge. I like macs better, but I dont hate it that much.

  • Microsoft will only take money from stupids otherwise is 2003 and 2007 the same for the people who have brains.

  • I use the OpenOffice suite, but I bought office 2007 because, even though OpenOffice dose a fine job of making documents/presentations/spreadsheets, the conversation can end up sloppy, plus I need the grammar check witch OpenOffice does not have unfourtanlly -_-, I know that there is an add-on called language tools witch has the grammar check but, it is a pain in the ass to use.

  • 2007 is a joke. It is the clumsiest most counter-intuitive piece of junk software out there. Damn tags on everything. Cannot customize worth a damn. No more simple easy layout. Have to click the ribbon to scratch your ass. Getting a hanging indent for a bib page is like Indiana Jones looking for Mayan treasure. This software is an anti-social disgrace.

  • I have 2007 at home, while my lazy ass college uses 2003. I am being forced to learn both systems at once. A has been and a new system...it sucks. I just want to learn 2007 and have it down. I am in Web Design and want to get the new goods down to a T, not have to unlearn while learning. Doesn't make sense to me. I think 2007 looks better, just wish Fucking Gates would have included Access instead of OneNote...WTF. It's only $100 more.

  • finally they made it good........and is Microsoft Office for Windows xp?

  • this video doesn't make any sense.

    "outlook sucks"

later on, "2003 and 2007 is pretty much the same"

"firefox sucks". meaning he's ie fan.

  • I agree wid dis guy when he says that the difference can be said when you say your purpose for using Office. But hey! MS Excel 2007 is way too.. i repeat Way too advanced... a simple example... The color... 16 in 2003 and 4.3Billion in 2007... think again

  • nerd.

  • i don't have Microsoft office 2003 or 2007 i use openoffice it's way better!!

  • The only difference between the office 2003 and 2007 is the the layout, and the organized tools that a user can use...office 2007 is a user's friendly office productivity tool...

  • The only difference between the office 2003 and 2007 is the the layout, and the organized tools that a user can use...office 2007 is a user's friendly office productivity tool...

  • only thing is that office is taught in schools now so ppl learn that and stick with it.

  • no one with dial-up can watch videos on youtube haha

  • Yep. I upgraded my XP system to Vista, which already had Office 2003 installed. I wanted to try out the new features in Office 2007, so I installed it.

    Everything ran flawlessly.

  • Will Office 2003 work with Vista?

  • Yes.

  • Thanks for that. :D Did you try?

  • thanks for the video, this convinced me.

  • yeah, openoffice is a good alternative.

  • open office doesn't open all .doc files though does it?

  • Is opens .doc documents, but not all features, such as features Office has but Openoffice doesn't

  • My mom told me she tried it, to open my senior thesis and it didn't work so I had to install office for her.

  • Ah. Still. =/ Features Wise MS Office is king.

  • I agree, it can't be beat.
