It's a motherboard bug where the core clock goes crazy.

-Shutdown

-Flick PSU switch to '0' for a few seconds then back to on position.

-Reboot

Problem should be solved, I have the same Asus mobo so I hope it doesn't start happening to me. (Linked form Asus forums)
