To me, there's a problem regarding Nicholas Barron (and also regarding Brooke Miller):

Both have bands, their band music is ok, let's call it good, better than mainstream, of course.

But both are absolutely brilliant breathtaking geniuses when it comes to solo singing performances while playing acoustic guitar, both should concentrate more on this :o)

From talking to Nick, I never got the impression that he felt "stuck" doing anything that involved singing & playing music. This is a big part of,(even a reason for), being a performer in Chicago: A producer or ad agent sees & likes your show, soon after he hires to do an ad. If its a union session & it plays a lot, it might double your annual income. It's great to make it so big that you can pick & choose, but even then, you've got the Who doing intros for CSI.
