If you canadians want your soldiers to be safer then you must be willing to spend more on your military. Currently canada spends a paltry 1.3% of its GDP on military expenditures. It makes no sense for canadians to enjoy cradle to grave welfare but send your soldiers into battle ill-prepared.
I agree, very touching. However, I must point out it's not about slavery. It's a song written by a former slave trader who was inspired to become a better man. This song is his tribute to that. He disavowed slavery as he changed.
The song is about the change in a person away from evils such as slave trading towards "grace."
My cousin was in the military and he went to afghanistan 3 times. was worried about him, when he came back unhurt i was sooo happy. But he also saw his friends die right in front of him.
Amazing video. You blended my favourite song done on bagpipes with a tribute to our heros. Thank you to all Canadian soldiers for making our country free. There is a saying that I remember. And when he gets to heaven, to St. Peter he will tell, One more soldier reporting sir. I've served my time in hell. To me Afganastan is hell on earth and our heros make the ultimate sacrafice for our freedom. Again, I say thank you to all of our Canadian heros.
An excellent video. There is a high price to pay for our freedom and the men and women of our military are out there ensuring that we do not have to live in fear.
I come from a military family. I respect the Canadian military.
THANK YOU FOR OUR FREEDOM!!!
I am so moved by this video that I am crying....Amazing Grace on the bagpipes will always represent the military to me.

@robertjohnson487 hard to spend money on an army when no party can get a majority goverment... that'll change now that the Tories have one :)

Great vid... Altho the song doesn't really fit considering it's about slavery.
Still, very touching.
