yes, 24Q aa will make almost any game lag. the recording doesn't touch that card, its that good. he would probably getting anywhere from 20-40 fps right now. its the aa. if it didn't make a game lag people would always have it on max
ya lol, i just realized yesterday my graphics card does auto x2, and ingame i had x2 AA on... i dissabled the x2 ingame and got same FPS. lol... ill stick with the double x2
No doubt Cod4 has some of the best Graphics speciaaly in urban scenes. But the Gameplay sucks. I wish there would be a game that implement such Graphical Processing Engine from COD4 and Crysis and the TACtical Gameplay from GRAW2 (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2) And an ANTI-Cheat from all the Games including COH(Company of Heroes) combined. Now that's a killer combination I don't think anyone would Not Want, even if I have to upgrade my PC to the most Latest Hardware.
I've just played it with everything on full, custom 24x AA @1680x1050 & got an average of 75fps on the same map with 4870s in CF mode. I'm using 8.8 drivers in Vista x64.
Will try it out at 1280x1020, but I hate FRAPS limiting the framerates (this could be your problem) or getting huge filesizes.
well it looks awesome with aa x 24 imagen the gf 100 nvidias new card comming out in 2010 it will have x32aa 2 of them will have 126xaa sli OMG lol

4870X2 couldn't run it smooth,WTF,of course it can!!!

hd4870 is awesome i have 1 i get 80 to 150 fps in cod4 with these settings: 1680x1050, 4x AA, and everything on highest possible settings!!!

yeah i just got 260 gtx 216 ; / returned 4870 long time ago...hm i get same fps as you ;)
this card are pretty close ;P but i scored 17k , :X and on my 4870 i scored 15.3k ;/

hmm yea i have 15004 3dmakr06 marks. with overclocked q6600 to 3.2 ghz and hd4870 @ 775/4000 mhz

yeah sure he gets lag but you can tell he is bad beacuse he just walks by some guys, he dosent use aim even on long distance and he uses martyrdom

lol u call that lag? i have lowest graphics ever on that game and i run 10 FPS, and i have positve KDR all the time, he sucks

I don't consider COD4 that graphically demanding, it plays on Ultra high on my 7900 GTX and thats a few years old now, and it runs smooth

not really.. well unless someone gaming at 1280x1050 - 1680x1050 then it will play it smoother at aa x24 but wont get nice fps.
