If you're a chrstian, by definition of the word, you would be christ-like. Christ loved his mother. Christ respected his mother. Christ listened to his mother. IF you were like christ, you would respect his mother as well. If you have images of Jesus to help point to him, then you might also have images of his mother (which this is not, by the way.). The idol is not God, but an image of the Mother of God. Please understand what we believe before you preach hate speech.

I have wtnessed that there is very little actual worship in low church Protestant assemblies (Baptist, etc.). A couple of prayers and a few "hymns" which often resemble a rock concert. Then the center of "worship" - a 45 minute+ sermon where a man gives his opinion about scripture and everything else. Way to often did these turn into anti-catholic rants. Worship?
The scripture says "All generations shall call me blessed" and "Blessed art thou amongst women". I don't see a disclaimer in scripture that says "except if you are a Protestant". Since I was a protestant for many years before finding the fullness of the Christian faith in the Catholic Church, I can confirm that Protestants utterly ignore this biblical truth. I had heard sermons on all of the great women of the bible, but Mary wasn't among them.

Mary is not insignificant. God the Father chose her to be the Mother of His only Son and Jesus gave her to us from the Cross.. "Behold your Mother." You are not insignificant in God's eyes so why would you say that about her? She is not God, but is God's chosen one and we should honor her as such. The Jesuits had the benefit of being able to travel the world, while most other orders had taken vows of stability, therefore, were unable to travel to far. I've never prayed to an image in my life at Mass or Divine Liturgy in either the Catholic or Russian Orthodox Churches. I have adored the one true God, father of all men whilst in front of icons or statues depending on which Church I was in. But these are objects and no more the reality of the prime mover is infinitely beyond all such things.

The Catholic religion stems directly from Jesus when he hands the keys of the kingdom to Peter aka the first Pope in Matthew 16:19. There is also the establishment of the Priesthood in John 20:23 and the anointing of the sick with oil in Mark 6:13. God is unchanging and pure truth, what he establishes doesn't change. Every Christian denomination has stemmed off Catholicism.

I suggest that you look at the sections of the Catechism concerning whom it is valid to offer adoration to. Only God the father is what Catholics are taught, Mary the Theotokos is the most blessed of women and a role model for all Christians but still a created being. Nor does the Church teach differently.

I have wtnessed that there is very little actual worship in low church Protestant assemblies (Baptist, etc.). A couple of prayers and a few "hymns" which often resemble a rock concert. Then the center of "worship" - a 45 minute+ sermon where a man gives his opinion about scripture and everything else. Way to often did these turn into anti-catholic rants. Worship?

The scripture says "All generations shall call me blessed" and "Blessed art thou amongst women". I don't see a disclaimer in scripture that says "except if you are a Protestant". Since I was a protestant for many years before finding the fullness of the Christian faith in the Catholic Church, I can confirm that Protestants utterly ignore this biblical truth. I had heard sermons on all of the great women of the bible, but Mary wasn't among them.

You are not insignificant in God's eyes so why would you say that about her? She is not God, but is God's chosen one and we should honor her as such. I dont know what he really about. But all I can say is that it is a step of waking up the conscious. May The Creator guide this guide to Islaam and the people who see this. I was actually in a school that we had a statue of the the virgin mary and it was crying. Isaw it with my eyes but I didnt believe it was true. I beleived that it was a way to get people to attend the church to raise money. It worked for some time the church was filled but after time was empty again.

Although, if had done a little research he would of known that the statue he has destroyed isn't the Blessed Mother, but St. Therese of Lisieux. Was it divine providence that he ended up looking like an ignorant jerk? I think so. The Jesuits had the benefit of being able to travel the world, while most other orders had taken vows of stability, therefore, were unable to travel to far. I've never prayed to an image in my life at Mass or Divine Liturgy in either the Catholic or Russian Orthodox Churches. I have adored the one true God, father of all men whilst in front of icons or statues depending on which Church I was in. But these are objects and no more the reality of the prime mover is infinitely beyond all such things.

The Catholic religion stems directly from Jesus when he hands the keys of the kingdom to Peter aka the first Pope in Matthew 16:19. There is also the establishment of the Priesthood in John 20:23 and the anointing of the sick with oil in Mark 6:13. God is unchanging and pure truth, what he establishes doesn't change. Every Christian denomination has stemmed off Catholicism.

I suggest that you look at the sections of the Catechism concerning whom it is valid to offer adoration to. Only God the father is what Catholics are taught, Mary the Theotokos is the most blessed of women and a role model for all Christians but still a created being. Nor does the Church teach differently.

The Pope is not the Universal Bishop, he is the Bishop of Rome and the head of the Universal Church (the word Catholic does mean Universal). Purgatory didn't start in the 16th century but it is found in the bible in the books of I & II Maccabees (though not the word purgatory, which means to purify or purge, but the concept of it is).

@kimwise1 The fruits of the catholic church are: homesexuals and pedophiles priests, the "holy" inquisitions where thousands were killed and tortured in a very heartless way, also the crusades, and raped nuns forced to abort (in mexico there was a very famous case were thousands of human fetuses were found in a church). I tell you those can't be the fruits of the church of Christ.

@aurus33 Man is not perfect. (though many of the things you mentioned are misunderstood) Even St. Paul stood by and watched as St. Stephen was martyred but for every 1 evil act, I can get a hundred acts of charity and goodness. We can get into the game of "which church did what and why" but that would take more time and space then youtube will allow. Should we go into the countless names of Catholic martyrs and saints? When it come to matters of FAITH the Church is invaliable. Mat 16:19

@kimwise1, the church of Rome didn't give us the Bible that's not true and the Apocrypha books only became "inspired" at the Council of Trent.
