It seems the Canadian operators make their buses last longer than the US counterparts,our buses must exit at 12 yrs. but they can last up to 20 yrs.

@805219 - Canadian Operators don't generally get funding to replace a 12 year old bus like many can in the US. And I have known of buses in the US to last longer than 20 years recently as well. Cherriots in Oregon comes to mind with their mid 1980's GMC RTS 35 footers still operating.

@805219 That could be the reason why US economy is messed up poor because of FTA wasting their money buying good-for-nothing crap buses like Gillig LF, NABI to replace buses in early/ middle-aged buses while it's cheaper just to rehab, rebuilt old buses which it can last way longer than newer buses.

Man, great bus but wow does it rattle that bad or is the camera just picking it up from something? Regardless I wish we had Classics like this around the Twin Cities :(

@TheTransitCamera - This bus did rattle more than most of Victoria's MCI Classics that I have ridden in the past few years. They are now all gone and retired with 3 of the 1991 MCI's now residing with Southland Transportation in Calgary, Alberta as well as 2 with Red Arrow - Spruce Meadows. Both are part of the Pacific Western Transportation company.

I definitely miss seeing the 1986-87's GM Classic buses and the 1989's MCI Classic buses in my hometown of Detroit. Excellent video as always!

@revolution1one Amen to that. I love MCI Classic's. So much faster getting to a destination compared to a NovaBus LFS.
