I'm starting to like minimal and I do like tech house but I'm still picky about tracks I like. Not all of them speak to me. I saw Gui Borrato here and he's pretty amazing.

So many DJs who used play purely trance are starting to play proggy house including Armin, Tiesto and Above & Beyond. That tells you something.

@cdest Exactly! i like progressive music just more towards the trance. Im not really a fan of deep house just because i dont find myself within it, i have to connect with the music in order to like it. And yes i had heard of him b4 hand also, took a listen to some of his live sets bcuz i was interested in his sound but just didnt end up liking it in the end

On a side note, Hernan does not actually play trance although he may start off with melodic and deep, lower in tempo tracks but the energy is always there. To some it may sound similar to trance. These tracks are not meant to make you rock the dancefloor right away but they are builders to get you there. His sets defy genres but I have yet to hear him play trance. He does deep house, progressive house, tech house and techno. Each set is really different so people's reaction naturally vary.

Elmex57 you probably haven't heard of Hernan before you went to Monster Massive and even if you have, you clearly don't know nor appreciate his style. You say his set was boring but to us, he raises the bar because we understand his style, the way the builds up his sets. It's really 'apples' and 'oranges' in terms of the genres and to make it simple, we not speaking the same 'language' if you will since his style is foreign to you just as trance is out of our radar.

Lol Tiesto is a respected producer and Dj in my book. I really like his sets and havent been let down by the guy. Lveronnez no i havent to be honest, what type of trance does he spin? but just to finish it off i dont like deep house or progressive house that much if i had to choose something with low tempo it would be minimal and tech house

hernan is sick, that night was just a mix of progressive trance and progressive house, so maybe some people enjoyed the main half the time. either way i enjoy both! someone id the track.

I respect what you're into, all of you who responded. As you can see, I totally 'get' Hernan's style and I go as far as Greece to see him play. I think only those who are into progressive house and know the style of Digweed , Nick Warren and those who blazed the trail in progressive house can appreciate Hernan's style. I am not into trance and I don't pretend to understand it. If I went to Monster Massive, I would have only gone to see Hernan, James Zabiela and Sasha.

Sorry but this music literally puts me to sleep. I love all of EDM primarily Trance and Electro. BUt man this guy was just playing slow boring tracks the whole time while on the decks. dont get me wrong hes talented. I just would never see him again

There's nothing boring about this track nor Hernan's style. I can understand that if you're a trancehead, you will probably not appreciate underground EDM or progressive house in the higher plane.

I agree these tranceheads have no concept of building your set to a peak. It's just one pop track after another. No disrespect to AVB and all he has accomplished at such a young age but he plays crappy music. I see Tiesto unfortunately going down the same street with this new album.
