  • I was born in87 but love listenting too real music

  • RIP Levi, it has been almost a year since your passing.

I just don't think that he EVER got the credit he deserved. And in my opinion, the Four Tops were as good or even BETTER than the Temptations. (These are strong words,). But they had so many hits for so long.

  • You are correct! Levi was a gentleman and got the short end of the stick. They didn't promote his career, give him songs that could have been a better hit with his voice. I still love this man's voice. RIP Levi - sing with the angels.

  • THat bassist is playin the shit out the bass parts. Great jhob all around the Four Tops ,just great.James was such a master.

  • oh man the bass player's killin' JJ's parts! What a pleasure to listen to...

  • SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!!!

absolutely no doubt about the brilliance here.

how many times has our radio played these guys hits.

and every time, it makes you marvel, whether theyre the fast ones , the thinkers, or the slow jams.

always spellbinding and a reason to stop your conversation or daydreaming and just SING ALONG!!

    jctoronto

  • levi was one of the great voices at motown . keep the faith

  • I was born in '83 so I didn't grow up when this stuff was real popular, but I wish music was still like this. Today's stuff is just pure crap about murder and sex.

  • I was in my teens and it was a great time, and Levi had an awesome voice, saw them live here in UK several times, so professional, good memories.

  • If you get to see The Tops today, Theo Peoples (here singing back-up) does a great job in honor of the great Levi Stubbs...

  • amazing love you kenny g xx

  • I dont know your age or who who u are, but your comment was clear . Im a life long fan of motown nothing will ever touch my heart like motown. god bless you.Thank you. You Yube for the motown Greats.

  • Such great voices, they sure are timeless !!!

Imagine they still sung this good when they were already at respectable age.

  • Just a month ago I was telling an acquaintance how I fall in love with voices rather than appearances--and that one of the voices at the top of my list belongs to Levi Stubbs. My sister and I wore out two copies of their first record. His cover of "Walk Away Rene," and his "voice magic" on "Bernadette" will haunt me (in the good way) for the rest of my life. My condolences to his wife and family. May Levi, with our love and appreciation, rest in peace, and may God have mercy on his sou.

  • I wonder how many people know that Levi Stubbs was Jackie Wilson's cousin. What a talented family. Joe Stubbs (of "100 Proof Aged in Soul) who preceded Levi in death was also a great singer. What a talented family!

    Levi, R.I.P.

  • the angels must be rejoicing they just got another lead soloist!

  • Four Tops were always so classy. Levi had

very powerful vocals. He will be so missed.

God give his family strength and peace

    thru his loss. RIP Levi!!!

  • RIP Levi

  • Levi Stubbs. One of the most wonderful voices ever. Now with Marvin,Jackie and Sam on the Nightshift. Thank you for the memory.

  • Yes, dear Levi -- RIP. The Tops!! Sound track of life. Thanks for this and all the rest for so many years. Love the Tops!!!!

  • A real class act has left the building. Thanks for the sweet, sweet memories.

  • RIP Levi -- the best voice singing the absolutely best songs. The music will be there forever. Goodbye.

  • awesome

  • Awesome, awesome, awesome! Thank you!

  • This brings such wonderful memories and so, many grateful thanks for these videos. The Four Tops has been a longtime favorite singing group and has continued to demonstrate excellence in both song and performance throughout the decades.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this video. The Four Top's have left a significant impact in my life. Levi, Obie,Lawerence, Duke WE MISS YOU!

  • Great..still got it!

  • Omg, how awesome is this. Levi and Theo together on stage..

  • How good to see Levi all fit ! The greatest singer of all times ! Long live Levi !

  • I'm pretty sure this show had to be recorded between 1999 and 2000. In 97, Lawrence Payton passed away. In 98, they toured as the Four Tops, but with just Duke Obie and Levi, while their musical director sang the harmonies that Lawrence normally covered. In 1999, they recruited Theo. Levi was off the road by 2001, although that year he did perform at the White House for Bill Clinton. This is an awesome show - I can't believe they brought out "I Believe In You And Me."
