  • Hi I just bought a used transmission from a junk yard.its for my 2004 Chevy impala... I'm having it installed Monday... should I buy new seal for both sides?

  • @LEOSOUNDS1 Yes, replace both side axle seal and the converter pump seal.Also service the transmission with a flush and filter cleaning.

  • is it possible to drop a 4T65E on a 2000 - 2003 Impala to remove the side cover, with out removing the trans.

  • @WWBZT1 The 4T65E transmission comes with two different gear ratio. Supercharge transmission is a different gear ratio when compare to the non-supercharge. yes a 2000 yr 4T65E will bolt up to a 2003 3800 series II impala engine.
