I am 53 ans I can tell you she is the only singer that makes me cry!! Abdel Halim is great, so are Brassens, Ferre, Brel (for the French speakers). So are Morrison, Dylan, etc... for the American. So are Pavaroti, La Callas, for Opera. BUT OUM KULTHOUM makes me cry...that is how beautiful and powerful her singing is.

I copied this from a loaned video from a little moroccan shop 20 years ago.There was no label on it,so it must already have been copied, wich explains the terrible quality!. !) Her songs can last 2 hours sometimes. They are too long to post on you tube. People tend to have parts of a song. To be honest, there's more in a small oum kolthoum song section than a whole song by another artist.
