  • ...there are only 3 or four people arguing about freedom of speech on this video....pathetic, and it's not going to change people's minds just because you have the most posts

  • BLACK GUYS ARE DISGUSTING! NO BEHAVIOR.

  • i'd love to see how the hell NYC proposes to enforce this 'ban'. NYC is a bunch of assholes.ladies just act like a lady and ignore it. its happened to me ever since i was 11 and i'm almost 15 now. i just completely ignore them and in my head i'm like "fuck you". dont even try to avoid it because uniformed men (aka POLICE and FIREFIGHTERS) have done it to me in addition to hardhats and mechanics, etc.

i'm a minor= sexual abuse. w.e. plus daddy threatens to rip their balls off. <3 you daddy ;)

  • @AndreBhub, there is a huge difference between a whistle directed at a woman and a group of guys forcing a woman into a car.

  • Well, there are always those Muslim face coverings and full-body clothing for the more sensitive women to wear.

I don't cat-call and never have. It's not my personality. However, when a woman wears skimpy clothing that is designed to draw attention, one can hardly feel sympathetic when she gets exactly what she wanted: Attention.

So some guys whistle or whatever. Get over it or wear more modest clothing.

  • @AndreBhub: If somebody tried to touch, there would be hell to pay. If they yelled something it would annoy me but we'd keep walking. Freedom of speech is not just for things you like, it extends to things you don't like too.

  • ----For a better look at this issue see: "BLACK WOMEN WALKING" at "Thecwexperience".

  • i think emily may just wants to make some duckets

  • Sig heil feminazi comrades!

"Gateway crime"- "hate speech"- tools to limit rights.

  • Furthermore, some women actually like catcalls and whistles. They make her feel good about herself and her body. These modern day feminists who push for laws against these things don't speak for all women, they don't even speak for the majority of women. They only speak for a minority of angry, hateful bitches who want men to not act like men. Personally I have never whistled or catcalled as a woman was passing, but if I lived in NYC I'd be sure to do it now.

  • Feminism in the past used to be about equal rights for women in a libertarian sense. Unfortunately modern day feminism has become a sick joke. When they're not using the government to screw over men they're doing something like this. Any 'law' to stop catcalls and whistles is nothing short of an assault on our constitution and will be overturned. You do NOT have a right to not be offended by somebody's free speech.

  • @AnduinX ----You have a right to walk down the street without being harassed.

  • @IbnSheba: So if a girl walks past a guy, and the guy says "nice" in an obviously sexual way, you think she was just 'harassed'? What a joke, that's not harassment, that's free speech. If he follows her and doesn't leave her alone that is harassment.

  • @AnduinX

-----So you want rules at long last. How do you plan to enforce them? That's the question here.

  • @IbnSheba: What do you mean 'I want rules at long last'? It's already harassment if somebody follows you around and won't leave you alone. No additional rules are necessary. If somebody's harassing you (as in real harassment), call the cops, but you can't penalize somebody for a few catcalls, that's ridiculous.

  • @AnduinX

--- If catcalls are deemed to be harrasment, arrests can be made.

  • @IbnSheba: If catcalls are 'deemed' to be harassment, then the NYC council are off their rockers. It would be nothing less than a direct assault on our constitution, and after the first few arrests it would likely be challenged in court and abolished. This is why modern day feminism is a fucking joke, what the hell kind of cause is this?

  • its an issue of respect. Talking, complimenting or even breaking the ice cant be seen as wrong. Inappropriate behavior, offensive or derogatory comments, thats another issue.

  • this is what happens when you leave the kitchen, sweetie.

grow up (not that you ever will) and stop complaining and being so demanding - you might actually attract a husband, instead of all those cats.

  • when has public sexual harassment ever been a crime? it is not stalking to flirt with women on the street...if yelled too much it could be disorderly conduct?...how many policewomen must be hired to enforce this sidewalk verbal sexual mythical gateway crime? (if it is an illegal alien wetback then deport him for violations of immigration laws!) / @ milwaukee

  • freedom of speech and the american constitution!...(walk brad pitt anywhere public...arrest the first female who screams something lewd and kinky at him!)...these females dress sexy then freakout if guys wolf-whistle at them? lol!.../ @ milwaukee

  • If you have half of your chest hanging out of your shirt, then you might just be giving the creeps something to get creepy about. Men are visually attracted by it, so if you don't like that kind of attention from men, keep that in mind when you get dressed. It makes a huge difference (I know firsthand)

  • Maybe we should ask our women to wear veils instead of asking our men to wear muzzles.

Oh wait, they tried that somewhere.

Yes, now I understand that it is better to criminalize the saying of stuff. Perhaps legislators could do something about people looking at things too. I've noticed there's a lot of looking going on. Looking is a gateway to seeing, and I'm sure no one wants that. Stop listening, it creeps me out.

  • "A Gateway Crime" ... I went to Law School ... I NEVER heard such a ludicrous phrase.

That's like saying "A cop accepting a free donut and cup of coffee is a gateway crime to Police Corruption."

    Give me a break!

  • Just to be clear on this:

In New York, the city where the normal response to any human interaction is "F@ck you!", they're trying to outlaw catcalling.

And nobody sees anything wrong in this picture?

  • freakin police state mentality, it's like a cousin to the "thought crime", Scary territory

  • I think that would be the dumbest law ever past! A man should have a certain amount of freedom to at least talk to a woman on the street.

  • gateway crime?? thought crime is next

  • What ever happened to "sticks and stones make break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? Next thing you know, looking at someone a bit too long will become a hate crime.

  • @Nymphe14

You might try to find out how women feel & what they put up with before you start chirping about freedom. Which freedom? Whose freedom?

  • @IbnSheba: Believe it or not even people who catcall have freedom of speech.

  • "Street Harassment" "Gateway Crime" ... Feminst nonsense.

Becareful men, if you approach a girl and she doesn't like it, you may be arrested for "street harassment".

Since when are we responsible for someone else's feelings?

  • The lesbian cartel is at it again.

  • this is cutting into freedom of speech.

  • Contimentary?

    hahahah, what does that mean?

  • I've heard several complaints from friends about their pre-teen daughters getting cat called at and stared at by non English speaking Mexicans. Probably illegals....

  • Hah, I find it funny that most of the girls who talked aren't that atractive.

  • Some people just got nothing better to do then just make more stupid laws that really have no purpose to it. Why don't they all just start wearing Burqas if they're so concerned.

    Retarded.

  • @vjacq88 Women need to wear burqas to walk down the street but men can't be made to behave properly?

  • @IbnSheba lol well I was only kidding about that. I don't feel that it would help the situation even if she had a full Burqa. Sex is sex and it doesn't matter how its served up to the male counter part....ultimately.

  • @IbnSheba: More like men can't be 'made to behave' like trained dogs, as you seem to want. Who are you to decide what is proper and what is not? People like you are trying to legislate your own sense of morality on the masses - at the expense of our freedoms.
