yeah it sux if you compare it to a 1000. but not everyone is insecure and needs a bike with power that you mostly wont use. unless you ride around going 160 all day whats the point. maybe he wanted something to just cruise around on. not everyone gets a bike to go 200mph. this bike has better gas milage than a gixxer 750, better handling and cornering, lighter. thats like going on some guys videoo about his celica and saying "hey faggot that car sux a lomborgini is better.
Sportbike egronomics design allows you to lay over and tuck in, so why not do it. Fuck what everyone else thinks. And on the speed note, this bike wasn't build to go and break records on the track. Rather, it was built to be a fun little ride for novice riders and veterans alike. If you can't get on it and have fun, then you just don't know how to ride. Besides, she's little. I put her around 130. She can break the 110 mph barrier easily. A couple teeth down in the back, 115-120. Have fun girl!
She is braver (or dumber) then I am. I don’t see myself in a freeway and/or highway ever with a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250. But I am just getting into this so maybe in the future I will think different but for now I do not think I will be doing this anytime soon in the future. I give her credit for her skills and good for her. I will like to get the green 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 250 also.
@M1License Naaaaah, aint that hard. My first bike was a 04 YZF 600R. Bought it, rode it around in a parking lot for about an hour, then rode it 45 miles home. Of course there's the various little mishaps you have, but that's part of the learning process. If you havn't already, take the MSF riding and licencing course. Best money you'll spend. They show you the skills you won't learn on your own. Then it's up to you to take what they show you and refine it.
I was tucking cos it was windy and it was my first time riding this bike and also because my future boyfriend was following me and I thought I'd do him a favour.....
@Towlieee bull shit , tucking allows you to break 90 mph to an about an ind 105 mph , you could sit up right and ride comfortably up to ind 85-90 . leaning forward just makes the biker feel more powerful around that speed.
And if you want to break 90mph, why not get a bike with more power, instead of maxing out a 250 and having to tuck just to do slightly over highway speed.
If you want to feel power, get a 600 or bigger ;)
I couldn't imagine riding a 250 as a daily driver. Hell first bike I rode was a 600, and on my 2nd ride I was already getting into power band and taking it near red line.
Going as fast as a ninja 250 in 2nd gear isn't too shabby.
@venom400 personally though, I'm not too concerned with top speed. 100-120mph is all I need to have fun. I'd rather rail some corners hard, or rock wheelies. I love dragging peg throwing sparks through a corner at 50mph :)
I just can't help but laugh at anyone who rides in a full tuck, just cruising along around the speed limit lol.. Hurt your back just to cruise in traffic, I don't get it.
I fully understand if you are trying to go fast, but just to go the speed limit?
@marineah34 Sucks! Pretty much the same for all of Ontario. May (If your lucky) to October. Past that and it starts to get risky with unexpected ice. Tires are a lot harder and take for ever to warm up, plus lot's of road dust / debris starts to build up in corners until the street sweepers and rain comes in May / June.
@thisisbenji90 ...it sets a bad example for others. People want to look cool before they are ready... It's ridiculous that there are people who respond to this and try to justify it as it's their "choice"... many times it's not that they will make the mistake, but people in cages who do... don't be so ignorant.
@thisisbenji90 Pretty soon and it's going to be like Switzerland, beautiful roads and scenery but you even think of enjoying yourself and feeling free - within 2.5 seconds you get pulled over and have that smile fined right off your face. As the government gets into bed with the insurance companies we'll have more and more regulations, and less and less personal choice. Pretty soon the only people biking will be safety nerds, and penny pinchers riding 50cc scooters.
@MsUpandatom No I agree, i think its crazy and america seems to be one of the worst countrys where people ride around in t shirts etc thinking nothing will happen
@luisloks oh tell em wise one how the fuck can you see the chain is loose on what looks to be a brand new bike. maybe you should stick your finger in there while she is driving down the road

@MsUpandatom You dont need to wear protective gear when riding a motorcycle in america, lots of them dont even wear helmets.
