There was that ship called "Tel Aviv", a German ship with a German captain and German crew, flying the swastika as well as the Star of David, taking German Jews from Bremerhafen to Haifa. These Jews could redeem 70% of the value of their property on arrival, through Ha´avara agreement. Palestine was British mandate then, the Brits had taken it over from the Turks after WW1. Not at all. Germany was paradise for the Jews, Germany was the least antisemitic country in Europe. Jews were taken out of their homes and Germans had no clue what was going on.
