  • allthough these bbing guys are huge, they seem to workout strange, for example: when he said working biceps with chest WTF although he did mention that ya bi's get worked with back exercises. alot of these big cunts also seem to do alot of isolation exercises on youtube vids, ive been told to limit these exercises to maybe 2 icolation exercises per workout at the most, am i taking the right advice or wot!?

  • His biceps look like nicely peaked.

  • Cool video but I would like to see him do a video without the ''professional'' feeling where he's just himself.

  • The video is cool. The exercises are great and effective. I do know a link of a site that offers free workout plans and exercises that you could use and follow to gain lean muscles and develop a lean muscular look. Youtube won't allow me to post the link but I posted it on my profile. You can check it out there.

  • Phil Heaths the man WOOO!!

  • i like this guy

  • Like I said before I like roids an yes my balls are small an you can't do a damn thing about it other then bitch and bitch again my muscles are just fine fake or not I like them now for thows who like big balls suck my dads he's got the biggest balls in the world

  • this guy dosen't seem liKe the new einstein but nice worKout!

  • I train like hell and eat loads but I feel that the only thing strong in my body is my farts...

  • @speckyprick get alot of rest/sleep too.. 7 to 8 hours

  • @speckyprick thats cause these guys take huge ammounts of roids besides doing all you do

  • @speckyprick its genetics some people just dont have the blessing. if i workout twice a month I stay big ,... i dont but when i do i dont lose mass or strength . lift heavy is my best suggestion, but light enough to keep good composure and form

  • ROIDS

  • super arms!!

  • I also like to workout back with biceps and chest with triceps because i give

more time for biceps and triceps to recover than if i was working them the other way around and i also like that the small musle group is allready warmed up after back or chest workout.

  • his head is so shiney..

and his arms are pretty big too...

  • Could somebody explain me what's the point of the negative resistance?

I saw the Dorian Yates DVD and there he also does many negative reps...

  • @deathlift77 Its used as a form of a "drop set". When full reps can not be performed anymore the same rep can be done partially which is still with high intwensity.

  • @bobbyboldy Thank you for your answer

  • Don't kill birds with stones mate...It's cruel

  • where is the hammer curl?? it is essential to have nice round biceps

  • This guy is awesome

  • oil synthol???

  • @talman2005 no

  • Is Met rx MRP good ?

  • dude got bigger. no.2 mr olympia this year not bad.

  • @coltsandsoonerfan give it 6-8 weeks with a proper diet

  • How long till you see results

  • heres some better advice, between sets, rest for 30-45 seconds to burn fat, and rest 2-3 minutes to build mass

  • @tomodonnell3 haha thanks for you advice dude, but 3minutes are you talking seriously? i don't think so add more minutes and go home eat and come back to work between sets that's better -___-

  • @tomodonnell3 haha thanks for your advice dude, but 3minutes are you talking seriously? i don't think so add more minutes and go home eat and come back to work between sets that's better -___-

  • @ilyossioss when you rest for 2-3 minutes you are fully healed for the next set, allowing you to do more reps, think before you type next time

  • @tomodonnell3 everyone is different , but resting 2 - 3 minutes is just a waste of time , unless you are going for max weight and low reps, ask Arnold and the rest of the Pro's 1 minute is really all you need , but hey , if you wanna spend all day in the gym by all means rest 3 minutes :)

  • @JoshuaPaulHollenbeck true, but Arnold and all the other pros are on roids, which decreases the time you need for rest

  • @tomodonnell3 so because i rest no more then 1 - 2 minutes , that means i am also on roids? i never thought of it like that , my bad .

  • @JoshuaPaulHollenbeck i never said that... ask any personal trainer and they'll agree with me, rest for 30-45 seconds to burn fat, and 2-3 minutes to build strength and mass, i guess resting for a time in between that does a bit of both

  • some awesome advice to everyone (guarantee you best results) be sure to drink a couple of protein shakes a day, plenty of water, and eat protein bars with every meal to just the little 25 gram ones constantly taking those into your body after workout will build ur results faster than u think!

  • His way much bigger and more ripped now, well this video is from 2007.

  • could some of you pls check out my workout video and tell me what you think about it? :)

  • About the repetition Do I increase the weight and stay at the same repitition?

    Or do I decrease it?

  • @9405288 In answer to your question, i personally like to work in a sort of 'pyramid' structure when it comes to rep-weight ratio.

For me, I like to work with the sense of less weight - more reps and more weight- less reps. i find that this gives you the best of both worlds when it comes to building muscle, in that your esencially building the muscle and getting stronger (with more weight), and also adding tone to your muscles (with less weight)

Take care, and I hope this helps :)

  • i think they should make some sort of competition where a bunch of guys that workout with weights and have big muscles can shave their entire body, paint on tan, posing thong, and stand on stage posing for everybody. just an idea though. what do you guys think about it?

  • herky jerky lols

  • he's twice as big now...

  • @TheHardTruth101 Check out Phil's latest guest posing here:

    watch?v=ZXcw5mfTgXU

Yeah, I would say he is twice as big now lol.

  • man!!!!!he has added more muscle now...he luks freak now!!!

  • i have been doing this work out for about 3mounths now i have got stronger and bigger but recently i have stoped improveing i done some reasearch and aprantly i need to do muscle confusion to confuse the muscle do i need to get a howl new work out routine for my biceps or can i still youse this one? need help

  • @pkedbyafroob You could change all your excercises, for example to: Barbell curls, reverse grip curls and 21s. You could also try to change the weight that you are using. You can use the same excercises that you are doing now, but alternate between low weights with 12-15 reps on all excercises and then next time you train biceps use heavy weights with 6-8 reps. Hope this helped :)

  • these are great bicep exercise's i like to do more exercises though, like id do 5 exercise on my back then 5 on my biceps, all exercises with 4 sets and start on 10, take the weight up and do less. its gave me gains!

  • Advanced technique, up one and then both arms - then up one. That's some advanced shit man!

  • to be honest with you its form and tehnique that gets you the results rather than stupidly heavy weight even zac efron said that and check him man his body amazin! also heavy weights do ur joints no good in the long run!

  • @blueleaf1717 zac efron is a fucking pussy

  • @ulykpain I apologize I should have used peter andre as a better example as he probably has one of the best male physiques

  • @ulykpain Lol zac efron I can out bench, military of squat that kid the fuck out any time any time

  • so phil does 9 sets (3 sets of 3 different excersices) for his workout?

  • No actually the IRONIC thing is you are saying that an exercise can make your biceps smaller?!?!

Phil Heaths biceps don't look too small to me...

I love all these internet warriors commenting on how Pro Bodybuilders or World's Strongest Men don't know how to train... The proof is in the end result they have acheived, not in typing on a keyboard..

  • @MASSNUTRITION Don't take it to heart especially since the guy who posted that remark had the user name "ViolatedCunt" it doesn't matter where you go in life, haters always wanna hate, they aren't worth your time let them enjoy they're pastey toothpick arms and unhealthy lifestyles and vask in the glory that you will more than likely out live them <3

    Thanks for uploading this video.

  • @MASSNUTRITION yeah right.

  • @MASSNUTRITION drugs, drugs, drugs

  • @MASSNUTRITION , yes actually, if you keep training the same body part without adequate rest and recovery, it will go backwards, and you'll start losing mass not gaining..

  • @MASSNUTRITION

well if you overtrain there is a possibility it'll make the muscle get smaller. Over training or doing too many reps will affect the growth of the muscle.

But the fact is, Phil Heath and all the other big name bodybuilders in the world know how to workout, hence why they're so big. Anyone who said they don't know is a fucking moron!

  • @stuartfear , WTF. L.O.L. Your muscles CANNOT get smaller by overtraining them please do not be an ignorant idiot.

  • @iPump786 they won't necessarily grow smaller but growth will come to a standstill if you keep overtraining them, and you will see weight and motivation levels drop, but its easy to avoid really, if the muscle is still sore DONT WORK IT!

  • @stuartfear Seriously do you lift? muscles grow from overtraining, if your looking for that "super cut" look. But if you want to get bodybuilder standard muscle, you do low reps with heavy weight. Get your facts right! muscles do not grow if you lift too heavy and you cannot flex your muscle as you do whatever exercise.

  • @prettyb0y1992 I think you've misunderstood the meaning of overtraining. Over training is to train more than the body can cope with. For example doing massive amounts of sets, or training same body part 2 or 3 days a week. Hence why the pros do workout splits, and why they normally don't do more than 6 sets.

Even The Gift, much like many other pros keeps it to around around 3 working sets.

and for your information, yes I do lift

  • @MASSNUTRITION

regardless of how hard you work you can only be a bodybuilder if you were born with the right genetics and you use steroids.

  • @MASSNUTRITION the internet warriors are just jealous because Phil can crush their skulls with his left hand while the internet warrior is too much of a weakling.

  • Haha, the ironic thing about this video is it will actually cause your biceps to get smaller due to overtraining since the bicep is a small muscle group.

If anyone wants big biceps do BACK exercises those are the best bicep movements!

  • @ViolatedCunt your a fucking idiot thats prob y ur not muscular at all

  • @gorillamonkeypig

Nope, you're the skinny pussy overtraining your arms and getting nowhere, fucking dipshit.

  • @ViolatedCunt you are right, BUT over training is when yo do biceps every day, phil trains biceps once a week...

  • @ViolatedCunt

quite an ironic comment in itself

cause i think you are incorrect there.

it depends on the person and how much training they can take

with a certain weight, volume, frequency, etc

and if you take steroids, the healing process may take an even shorter time than usual.

i know what you mean by the biceps responding to back training,

but in fact, if you are training back CORRECTLY, you should be able to still complete a biceps routine

(not that you have to train them same day)

  • if im doing this work out and i wont to gain mass and not get toned should i do 12 reps of 3 sets?

  • @pkedbyafroob To get arms like that it's not about the sets or reps, in this workout vid he fails to tell ppl where he injects the syringes. Don't be naive & think for one minute that this guy is only on Met-Rx suppliments alone !

  • @pkedbyafroob if youre trying to gain mass you mroe rather want to do less reps higher weight but only do it like twice a week

  • @psyduckiii thanks man a freind of mine told me to do each of these exersises 10 reps then go to 8 reps then go to 6 reps will this routine help me with gaining mass?

  • @pkedbyafroob yeah you do that accpet you want to start off with the regular weight you lift and do that ten times, then you can go 5 pounds higher and do that 8 times, then go yet another 5 pounds and do 6 reps. you can do this until you max out and that will be a really good workout you can probably start with 2 sets of each of these and work your way up

  • @psyduckiii thanks man u helped alot

  • @psyduckiii if i do 2 sets of each wouldent that go into more of a cardio workout?

  • @pkedbyafroob cardio is when your running, swimming and stuff like that. when youre just doing curls its not cardio. doing it that way will help tear down the muscle more so that it rebuilds very strong. and also you should do bicep workouts after your back workouts because you use your biceps in your back workouts

  • @psyduckiii o ok thanks very much

  • Good bitceps!Good training!

  • Hi im having some trouble improving the width of my arm, im happy with the peak of the bicep, and from the side my arms look fairly big, but from the front they look small, any tips? Great video by the way, thanks

  • None of these work without the roids

  • @Tony22860 what are u talking about? such bs

  • @ppjj8 welll..no natural guy has a day JUST for his biceps, so i see tony's point

  • @ppjj8 actually nvm, he says to do bi's with other body parts

  • best bicep wokout if u actually do every rep and keep perfect form the WHOLE time

  • Can you show me the exercise doing chest and bicep at same time?

  • Hes look like Kurt Angel from the wrestling industry

  • thank u bro u be mr olympia sooon :)

  • his facial expressions are awesome

  • Should i increase weight after one rep?

  • only 9 sets? thats not enough,,maybe if your like JUST beginning..but standardly u need about 15

  • is it a problem to work biceps and triceps in a day instead of working biceps and back or biceps and chest?

  • Should have memorized his lines. Sounded very nervous.

  • so he does 3 bicep workouts 3 sets each and then wat? he leaves the gym? cuz i know alot of body builders only work one muscle group a day. so he goes in for 20 mins and leaves?

  • you should train about an hour..+-20 minutes

you can add biceps to trizeps / back workout

  • no he said he combines it with back exercises. so probably 3 bicep 3 back then you gotta think maybe some cardio and abs. this is basically what i do on my bicep back day it usually takes an hour and a half

  • no hed probably do biceps, triceps and forearms, more exercises and abt 4 sets each and alot more intense than this shows usually taking a bit over an hour

  • @survar Small muscle groups only need a max of 9 sets for muscle build, any more and you over train or move into the endurance zone. he said he trains them with his back aswell though.

  • @survar

    no

if your gonna do arms in one day you can do bis and tris and that will take you about an hour to complete. but like he said he usually does his bis on back days.

  • some of these informative vid's are sometimes plain useless. Like those incline dumbell curls, who has seen a pro train like that? Or keeping the dumbell at the top for the squeeze? Not one if you look at the vid's the pro's make. Just learn the exercices by trail and error.

  • three exercises for biceps? i thought it would be more

  • he's got a perfect bulk body

  • ...

  • Great champion but did he just say preachers develop the peak of the bicep?? Not medically possible, you bicep shape is genetically predetermined.

  • So if I want size with lean muscle, I will have to take somekind of supplement of some sort.

  • @BayouHotBoy1 yeah just take some steroids... youll get big muscles in no time

  • @BayouHotBoy1 no its drugs, all drugs

  • This guy for President!

  • This guy could do most any exercise & look great. He was genetically gifted with very full round muscles.

  • @nenzi671 i'm willing to bet a 1000 pound that his great body has more to do with steroids then his genetics

  • # 1-Genetics. # 2-Steroids.# 3- Nutrition. # 4-Training.

  • @nenzi671 The only thing he was genetically gifted with was the brains to reach his goals. This shit doesn't come naturally you're just jealous cause your fat : ]

  • Hey dumbass, you just dont get it do you ? I was complimenting his physique & genetics. He has very full round well shaped muscles with full bellies which is genetic. He has a great build & deserves his high placings. He is going to be a great pro. Before you start calling me fat you need to go back & repeat the third grade so you can learn to read. Try "Hooked on phonics."

  • @nenzi671

dude everyone has same muscle shape. its his mass with low bodyfat that makes things look like boulders and rocks, not his genetics

  • Hahahaha. His genetics had nothing to do with it ? Did you actually write that & believe it too? If everyone had the same muscle shape we would all look the same when developed. OMG. Scary

  • @nenzi671

if your diet/taining/suppliments (steroids etc) / experience were the same as his then yes, you would also look very impressive

Apart from the abdominal region other muscles such as the bicep/tricep etc etc ARE the same type/shape of muscle. Maybe take the time to get an education in how muscles are made up/shapes/types etc then come back with a decent reply instead of what ur suggesting.

  • @nenzi671

Sure he is very impressive and its not easy to look like that but if you had experience and knowledge there is no reason why you cant have "full muscle bellies" as you put it. Its just a matter of development to your muscles CURRENT form (which all starts out as the same as the next guy, in terms of shape). The reason everyone looks different in terms of structure in the bodybuilding world is because they have different areas of development. Different strength and weaknesses etc

  • @nenzi671

as far as genetics go he will have a small advantage in development to a guy who isnt that suited to lifting so will see results maybe a bit quicker.

However the kind of development he has acheieved is NOT possible without steroids so dont make out like he is some kind of god of genetics when you have no idea on the subject.

  • Shut up just cus ur jelous

  • you're missing the point completley you moron. I know he looks amazing but personally i wouldnt want to be that big. However i do respect how good he is in his chosen sport

So you need to get a grip you fuckking momo. Get an education

  • @nenzi671

his genetics? if you knew anything about evolutionary biology you wouldn't say shit. the human body is designed to live in a hunter-gatherer society where food is limited and unstable (don't believe me? go to university and find out for yourself). his type of muscle growth would be way too energy demanding and his "genes" even if it did exist would have died out long ago. stop spreading your bs on youtube plz

  • @SportLeichtRensport: Jesus Christ you guys. All i did was compliment this guys great genetics & muscle shape & everyone here is all upset with me. I have gotten more negative comments from people for complimenting Heath's great genetics. He is a great BBer with a bright future.Genetics is the number one factor in BB success followed by nutrition, anabolics, & training. You clearly have no clue of what you are talking about. Stop posting your idiocy on YouTube & showing people how dumb you are.

  • rofl i guess when they say "too little knowledge is a dangerous thing" is true

  • @SportLeichtRensport

Food is not limited or unstable for some people like Phil Heath or me. He and I can eat to our heart's content. What are you talking about?

  • The bodies of human beings have evolved to meet the stresses of a hunter-gatherer lifestyle. The food supply of that lifestyle is unstable and in some cases very limited. Yes now, we have plenty of food as a first world nation (Canada is where I'm from), but this change in lifestyle has been extremely rapid. Phil Heath's muscles mass would be much too energy demanding for a "hunter-gatherer" lifestyle and even if those genes did exist, it would eventually disappear due to natural selection

  • The best advice I've ever got from my teacher, I will pass on to you YourHeartIsTheKey, read the fucking question. In your case, read the fucking response. rofl

  • @SportLeichtRensport

I'd say we're dealing with the change from limited, unstable food source, to copious and stable food sources pretty well.

Also, if people do not live a hunter-gatherer lifestyle, their bodies would not be particularly adapted or evolved to or for it, no?

  • Thanks for stating the obvious in your first statement. Any organism would adapt to the changes from an unstable to stable food environment very well... lol....

As for your second statement, yes and no. I'll give you a couple of examples. The human body requires exercise to be able to function properly, people used to have to work for their food. Because food requires minimal exercise to get now, obesity is officially considered a pandemic.

  • @SportLeichtRensport

I'm unaware whether or not you answered the question sufficiently.

If people do not live a hunter-gatherer lifestyle, their bodies would not be particularly evolved for it, no?

  • Our increased food supply also led to increased lifespan. Proof? Look up an overall avg lifespan chart, see where the spikes are. Although there are numerous reasons why this is good, the human body is not meant to live this long. Every function of the human body decreases with old age, case in point, arthritis, prion disease (ex. Alzheimer's), macular degenerative disease, decreased healing ability, etc....

  • Instead of trying to start a discussion with which you have no prior knowledge of, go take an evolutionary biology course please

  • @SportLeichtRensport

Nope, so far I have made two accurate statements, and asked you a question.

You are getting mad so you are making baseless accusations about me.

  • @YourHeartIsTheKey

Yes I agreed with both of your statements. I repeat, the first one was quite obvious. Ex. If a child who dying of malnutrition in Africa came over to America, adopted by a wealthy family, how would he cope with it?

  • @SportLeichtRensport

Also, I'd like your opinions on these; why are humans not meant to live this long? Who or what means for us to live shorter lives anyway?

  • @YourHeartIsTheKey

Q: If people do not live a hunter-gatherer lifestyle, their bodies would not be particuarly evolved for it no?

A: No their bodies would not be evolved for it. However, the vast majority of human evolutionary history has been based on a hunter-gatherer lifestyle. We haven't undergone sufficient "evolution" in our much recent lifestyle. This is the reason why I listed a bunch of disease because of our lack adaptations to increased intake of mainly fats, to list an example.

  • @SportLeichtRensport

People become obese now because they eat too much while abstaining from performing rigorous workout or exercise regularly, no?

For me, I am doing well in this lifestyle. Perhaps you can say I am well adapted to it. I have a copious amount of food to eat, and the food sources is stable, and I work out sufficiently so I am fit, and go for regular medical check ups to detect any disease or abnormality.

  • @YourHeartIsTheKey

Yes, it is because they eat too much while abstaining from performing rigorous workouts. Our ancestor had to physically work for their food, the point I was trying to make is that we need physical exercise or our bodily functions decline. What is your point?

  • @YourHeartIsTheKey

Modern medicine and nutrition allows us to live far longer than our ancestors. Our ancestors had to deal with injuries without the comforts of the health care system as well as decreased intake of food. Furthermore, clean water was a big reason for our increased life span. Let me rephrase what I said. Conditions existed for the majority of human evolutionary history that allowed us to not live as long as we do now. That's why old people are susceptible to numerous...

  • @YourHeartIsTheKey

... susceptible to various conditions. Their bodily functions from the 5 senses to fighting off infections decrease severely because we have not had enough time to develop or "evolve" physiological characteristics that prolong the effectiveness of various functions. I hope that answers your question

  • @SportLeichtRensport

You are talking about slowing the process of aging or?

Modern medicine and good nutrition allows for the slowing of the process of aging, right?

  • @YourHeartIsTheKey

No, there is no process that "slows" the aging process. It simply allows us to live longer lives, you can almost describe it as a "side effect" of clean water, abundant food and modern medicine.

Depends what you mean by aging though. By our definition of time, aging cannot be slowed. According to our biological clock though, studies are showing it can (activity of telomerase, etc...)

  • Este chaval tiene escrito "MR Olympia" en la frente. El tiempo lo dira.

  • Looks like DEE-BO

  • cool! sympatic!!

  • Ye, this guy doesn't know what he's talking about, look at his puny biceps! >.>

  • good video.

  • He's not talking like he got a disability. He is reading off a monitor. His words sound too fake.

  • he kinda talks like he has a disability

  • I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar that if u an phil heath eva share a jail cell bet'chu you'll have a dick your throat before he does......

  • Comment removed

  • @tonlo2006 Lol hahahahahahaha u are stupid man 4 real. hilarious joke

  • It does add lengh to your bicep i have a personal trainer so i know

  • Finally a bodybuilder that focuses on negatives and variation!!!! This is what is going to cause muscle confusion and really help you blast past a muscle building plateau.

  • if it were true that you can change the shape of your muscles, ALL the bodybuilders could have the same shape of biceps, chest, triceps, etc but the evidence prove there is a great variety of musc

  • preacher curls add height to the bicep? NO, you cant change the shape of a muscle or your genetics.

People don't realise that there is ultimately nothing you can do other than get bigger and fulfill your potential. the hight will come with the the overall shape, and a variety of bicep exercises can achieve that.

  • It's sure has made a change in my bicep. Before I started doing P. Curls my bicep was more flat little peak, but whenn I added this exercise it's changed me in a good way bro.

  • tried the workout absolutely fantastic i recommend u take his advice.
