@Relentent : Probably not the EVH D-Tuna (Assumimg that's what you meant) was specifically designed for the original floyd rose.

Anyway, since the lower-end models all now have the "Edge-Zero II bridge w/ZPS3Fe" instead of the Edge-III, has this guitar been updated to have it too?
Is it an Edge III? If so, is it any good? I've been reading a lot about it, and people seem to have very different opinions. Just don't wanna spend money on something I'm gonna hate.
@Mtc529 Hi there, we would advise then that you head out to a guitar store that has them and try one out. You'll know how it feels then and whether its the right one for you.
Made in Indonesia now. The trem is the Edge 3. the Original Edge found on prestige modesl is the best tremolo system out there. Also, those are pearl dot inlays
What is it about the js series that gives them that smooth, liquid, spongy tone from the neck pup?
I have the js100 and love the neck position to death. I'm trying to get that tone out of an alder bodied peavey v-type and would like to know if it's even possible.
I've had mine for a year and a half. If you play metal like I do, avoid like the plauge. The tremolo is a crappy Ibanez one so it dosn't work all that great. 'Made in Korea' pretty much sums this guitar up. If you want a good Satch model go for the prestige models.
Aditionally, don't fall into the trap that I did, take your time when picking a guitar and don't go upon looks when buying. Tone and playability is most important.
@scootercrunch11 ye i know : d but i like this white paint from satriani and his look of guitars ; ) his sound is pretty awesome too but like i said it's your choice i'm satriani fan :D so i'd take the js2400 :D
im havin doubts if im gonna buy satriani sj100 or the Dean Michael A Batio MAB1 laze im into metal and classic so both are up for that but witch one is really the best?
@jarekuXhide I get your point as well. For me, buying a signature guitar would feel weird because it's a part of the artist. I just like to watch how these guitars are though XD
@BenK8319 That's why I'm always afraid to buy a guitar with a floyd. I don't know what really to expect. They sound awesome but they can be a pain to maintain.
@zbarneyz It's practically the same thing. They have differences but it's more or less the same trem system. Either way, this kind of trem should be avoided by beginners.
@MegaDarth666 it wont really matter if u dont use it... i got a js 100 for my first guitar and i just didnt use the floyd till i knew how and i was fine.
@Coppulor1 They tend to require a lot of maintenance so they keep in tune properly. If the floyd is of poor quality, it will rarely keep in tune. I haven't used one myself but I read a lot of pros and cons about floyds. I think if you're beggining to learn, first you should develop both your hands. Then, if your style fits the use of a tremolo, you should buy a guitar that you like with a good trem system and learn how to properly maintain a tremolo.

Can anyone help me out with purchasing a new guitar? I want to get either the JS2400 or the JEM7V. They're both great, but I can't decide.

@scootercrunch11 i would take JS2400 but it's your choice ; )
