  • wait a minute i have a question?,,,, if you have an AMD processor.. does it need that you will buy a motherboard that is fitted in your AMD processor,,, or jusst buy any motherboard brand.. that is also ok.. or any? plss reply

  • ohh my gosh this fucking helps me... when he puts the processor he just put it in,,, does it have any glue or any,,, Its an AMD right! i dont care,,, IM JUST TRYIN TO LEARN WITH THIS TEACHER...

  • Yes, he uses the lever to secure it...

  • Oh shit i drop the processor on the motherboard. Can I hot glue the pins back on?

  • So you push it in or just set it in the socket?

  • I HAVE BIG PROBLEM I NEED URGENT HELP I consolidated the motherboard and other parts and run and nothing to light KNOW IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE LET SOLUTION say THANK YOU in advance!

  • @Jorgen297: No, assuming you're talking about medical gloves (the white disposable kind), they are made of latex and can build up a static charge. Rubber dishwashing/utility gloves would be a better choice, but can also build up a charge, as they are not designed with electronic protection in mind.

To be honest, simply making sure to never touch one of the gold pathways/components on a RAM module is safe enough. Even if you do, it doesn't mean insta-death, there's just a chance of discharging

  • does the lga on the core processor have to match the lga on the motherboard?

  • wow, this guy's voice sounds similar to jaboody dubs sales pitches. lol

  • can some one help me? i just built my own PC and everything went great and it runs awesome but one thing i noticed was from time to time my computer makes a click noise and then it sounds like something is powering down. I used to get this sound with my old PC when i would shut it down or hold down the power button to power it off manually...im hoping its just the sound of a fan turning off because after the sound nothing changes, my computer still runs at full and is great, im just worried

  • @sonic911

    get a new power supply

  • @ki6hqx i have a 950w powersupply....its more than enough

  • @sonic911

yea it might be a bad fan that turns off randomly open up ur pc and run it like that and when the noise happens check whats happening in the pc that way u can see if its a bad fan.

  • i have a 2.500 Mhz dual core cpu if i get a 3.330 Mhz dual core one will it have a great inpact on my compute will it make it faster and run games better?

  • @dbogdan06 of course.

  • @dbogdan06 it should....why not get a quad core tho :) intel core i5's are like 180 bucks

  • one pci express, how the hell am i supposed to put my radeon 5970 in that?

  • good, iam a 13 yr old guy and iam also making one like you so i need your help.I very well congratulate your knowledge and i wanted to ask you that i wanted to buy a high perfomance and a fast processor for my pc.so can you prefer one for me.

  • People who put negative videos after watchin this piss me off this guy is just showin you, I bet you've fucked up your PC many of times.

  • Do you need the thermal paste at all?

  • @XXXCompAssesXXX yes you need if your cooler doesnt have it yet, but in most case stock coolers has already applied thermal paste

  • very good !

  • "That's what needs to be on top"

can only imagine some installing it upside down and asking, "why isn't it working? ;\"

  • "I'll put that in the next tor tor.."

  • 1:31.....That's what she said. Oh btw nice videos.

  • that motherboard really sucks. no solid caps at all and barely any phases of power. no wonder he gave this system away.

  • @Georgefromaccounting dude. r u stupid. you should be kissing this guys feet. he's helped so many people with this tutorial. he's using cheap parts for the tutorial. he's not here to make a flashy, state of the art performance comp. i take my hat off to this guy for investing time and money into such a good quality demo.

  • @leddeath80 i never said anything about his tutorial. i think its great. honestly, this guy is the one who taught me how to build my first pc.

  • Once a Processor is installed, can we upgrade it with a new one by just removing the way we installed ?

  • @VizzBitz

yes, as long as the new processor is compatible with the motherboard

  • To be honest guy's ground straps are unnecessary unless you're doing work for someone else, and just want the extra reassurance.

As long as you don't touch the pins, and the CPU has a metal heat spreader on the top (like this one), there is no way you're going to shock it.

Handling RAM you should be a little more careful, since ram is a lot more sensitive to ESD and has less obvious places to hold it. Try to only hold RAM by the vertical edges.

  • @liamsp544

You say its unecessary, but what if it happen to you? Pay five dollars for insurance for 100+ products. Worth it?

  • @lavitz1125 If you can fry a CPU through the heat spreader using only the static charge built up in your body, I will seriously give you a thousand dollars.

  • @liamsp544 you're fucking right!

  • @liamsp544 It really isn't difficult to ground yourself. Just be on a non carpet surface when building, and touch something metal. That simple.

  • @bigbunpunychicken When you're not touching the pins on the CPU,there is literally no was a small static discharge will fry it.The metal heat spreader on the top is not connected to actual CPU components themselves, so there's no risk to holding it, even after rubbing your feet on a carpet.

In the case of RAM, which isn't as easy to hold, of course you might as well ground yourself against the case, notice I was talking about people saying to use ground straps, which I've never found necessary.

  • @liamsp544 @liamsp544 Is it OK to use plastic gloves when setting in ram? Alot cheaper than a ground strap.

  • Where can all of these things be purchased? Can I just go to the local bestbuy store and buy these?

  • how am i supposed to ground myself?

  • @Sl1f3rDrag0n touch something metal

  • @MTAJoe for example?

  • tnx a lot

next i'm buying a pc i'm gonna build it myself

  • thanks tons for doing this man, i really apreciate it!

  • Could you explain the wrist-band or that thing on your hand on how to use it?

  • @Leyoo125 Its just an anti-static wrist band, just so you dont get a shock from the motherboard

  • @ghostguy2k7 What are you talking about?? Its so you dont kill your components with static-electricity dumbass...And btw, you shouldnt even use them, just touch the inside of your case and youre good to go.

  • @lawlid why the insults ....

  • @Leyoo125 You dont need to use one, just make sure you touch the inside of your case (I.E. On the top of the inside of your case).

  • @lawlid Oh, thanks a lot :D

  • Just remeber to rub your face all over the pins and spit on em as much as possible to lube em up before placing it in the mother board it helps a lot =D

  • @urmomisfineinbed I highly doubt the first part, but don't do the second. Just add thermal paste.

  • are you the walt's son from breaking bad?

  • my CPU is different

  • AMD ruuules

  • @ultimatepowerpoint Installing an X2 right now. Can't wait to get an X6. Just watching videos to make extra careful I know what I'm going with the fan and whatnot.

  • My cpu isn't big enough to reach the lever, but my motherboard is supposed to be compatible with it. Is this a problem?

  • @blueberdrage Are you sure its compatible. It can be the right socket but not the right kind of processor.

  • you forgot to apply thermal grease

  • @CanisLupus1987 the fan comes pre loaded with it.

  • @DeapSwift yeah. I kind of only realized it when I saw the following video tks anyway

  • Kay well thanks for showing me...but what about thermal paste? :(

  • i was about to call you a nerd but na

  • Do we need to have a GPU (graphics card)?

  • @wc1hater Yes you do

  • @wc1hater

Not always, if your motherboard has a Monitor connection, often looks like blue or purple with two side screws (anything similar to that) it means you have onboard video, meaning that you DONT need one, unless you are a gamer (usually onboard graphics on the MOBO are not very good) you probably would need one. If, like before your motherboard does not come with one of these connections, then it is compulsory to get a Video Card/GPU.

  • @wc1hater lool do we need a GPU lol yes if not you whont se a thing on the screen

  • good job

    like u'r video

  • what about the thermal compund you're supposed to put on the cpu

  • good videos but is it just me or did he make all the videos like a minute long just so there is 23 to download for $1 a piece?

  • what hapens when i break a pin and don't even know it?

  • is he grounded? He is doing good but misses a lot of fundamental basics

  • @BooGooandYou How do you ground yourself?

  • @KMelter

Wear an antistatic wrist band and attatch it to your case or any metallic surface which is grounded, or alternatively to save about £1/$1 you could just keep your free hand on the case. You should not get a short if you have done it correctly.

  • The CPU is tight and snug XD

  • so wait do you have to apply thermal compound? and do all processors come with its own heat sink?

  • @daxeflame its definatly advisable and most cpus come with a large box with fan included but you can buy them without a fan. thermal paste is definatly recomended

  • @T1carus I bought a CPU on Monday that came Friday from TigerDirect and it didn't come with a fan. I'm annoyed because I thought it would. Now I have to go to the mall to pick one up.

  • you're gonna wanna

  • there's a little arrow on one CORNER,NOT SIDE,CORNER

  • What I enjoy about these videos is that they're divided up very well and short enough to cover each specific piece of advice so that if you need to jump to one section, you quickly get into what you need to know rather than wading through several minutes of unnecessary information.

  • Could somebody help me?

If I want to take my current cpu out of this motherboard and put it in a new one, should I apply thermal paste?

  • ALWAYS apply new thermal paste. If you don't expect your CPU to overheat.

  • Thanks for the response.

  • take out the old one

    put in the new one

CLEAN THE PASTE OFF THE HEATSINK with rubbing achohal - the stuff thats in beer- but plesae dont use beer use rubbing....

put a rice sized drop on the cpu, spread it out and then place the cooler on. there is MANY vidoes here that show you how. google is your best friend, make sure its a good source!!!

  • @kainhall how about spiritus?

  • yes absolutelty!

  • YESSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • @simplelife88393 yes you should!

  • You dont have to, if there is enough paste on the cpu chip when you take it out.

  • Whcih is the video card one?

  • he didnt make a tutorial about graphics card since the motherboard already came with an integrated graphics card.

  • @Diegog5

    Ohh ok then thanks.

  • YEs, You do. Especialy since you have a intel i5, it will overheat very quickly.

  • Do I need a CPU fan if my case ase two fans plus my power fan??, my processor is a intel I5-650.

Oh and guys stop fighting about the language huh? The American language has many languages put into it. Unlike Irish or proper english, it's NOT natural. And btw the "yanks" and the "brits" like each other... Unless u start talking about Obama... Now that's a different story

    Please answer my questian. =)

  • @AxisOf3vil yes yes yes

  • @AxisOf3vil WTF OF COURSE

  • the faster cpu that i've heard of is 7ghz, it was homemade by two guys from slovenia.

  • @robtai1 you are an idiot

  • Wow, what an intelligent comment. Lets guess, you are American too? otherwise you would understand what I am saying. Its called ignorance. The English language come from England, when since do you pronounce those words like that? unless of course you are American.

But I would not expect someone like you to know.

  • oh... i am not american... and my english is not as perfect as yours. but i like the american accent better. it's more fluent. it's well known that the english dont like yanks very much. but then again, the irish and the australians, don't speak proper english too? that's your opinion. and one more thing, i don't know where u live in england, but from what i've heard people from london have a much more terrible accent, and u can't understand shit. so stfu u stuck up english grammar police.

  • Charming, just charming. I am not stuck up, I just cant stand it when people misuse the language. Yes the English dont like the yanks very much, the American accent is annoying dont you think?

The Australians and Irish do speak proper English, I am talking about the pronunciation of words. Such as "prah sesser" thats the American way, the proper way is "Pro sessor"

I am from Sussex, the Londeners are not that bad.

  • I have the same motherboard

  • Not bad, but I find the mispronunciation of words highly irritating.

    Its pronounced pro-sess-er not prah-cess-or

its also pronounced a-row not Aero

  • lol why would you care?..ur like, UUUUUH im better than you but you didnt do anything wrong so you have to come up with something about how he talks

  • No, he didnt do anything wrong. But his pronunciation of words in the English language is incorrect.

But that is the American accent for you. In my opinion its annoying, because its not how the English language is truly spoken.

Go ahead do you 'thumbs' down, but I am still right.

  • lol whatever...i dont even remember writing that comment

  • thanks for taking the time to make these video's.

  • intel(R) pentium(R) dual CPU E2220 @ 2.40 ghz 2.40ghz. Does this mean I have 4.8ghz?

  • no you have 2,4 you can't add this ^^

if i add mine i would have 16 ghz and that would be crazy

  • @SeeN0More No it means you have 2 Processing units running each at 2.4ghz.

  • no think of it like cars if you have 2 cars that go 100mph you cant go 200mph only 100mph

dont listen to console designers the add them to try to impress people ps3 450Mhz cell processor just doesn't sell

  • how do you choose a cpu fan

  • Just buy 1 online, or in a computer store in your city / village.

I'd reccomend you to buy a Zalman, they are more expansive, but ultra quiet.

If you buy an Intel fan, believe me, you always want to wear headphones, those are NOISY.

Get a Zalman. And a good thermal paste, then it will spread the heat better, and the fan has to cool less.

  • if u buy the original AMD or Intel CPU , they usually came with the CPU Fan , if u think that the fan sucks quality , get a new one , but remember to find one that is compatible with ur motherboard and CPU

  • its depend man what is the computer purpose if its for gaming or just little surfing and more in typing...

  • Guys, would this processor: Intel E7600 Core 2 Duo Processor - 3.06 GHz, 3MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB

    Fit this motherboard ? GBT-GA-G41M-ES2L

    Thank you!

  • if the motherboard is socket 775 then it should so find if it is

  • you dont need a strap. put duct tape on your wrists, and touch the case everytime you touch something thats all

  • ow the hair on your hand is gonna come off later

  • wow that is a crappy board and if ur teaching anyone how to put stuff into a computer not build one u really need to wear a groung strap

  • mran i wouldn't doin nuttin. bwood

  • uh uh dur um ya uh ya ok uuu oo

  • your not teaching us to wear a ground strap...

  • Just dip your hand in water and touch the psu when your computer is turned on, that makes you grounded forever ;)

  • This is Hellstudios and I endorse this Instruction.

  • @squidskunk i never have and have built many computers, but you should

  • @squidskunk

i believe the general consensus is that it's pretty unnecessary

  • @squidskunk

jeez, just wear a pair of rubber gloves ;)

  • @squidskunk whats a ground strap?

  • @desertfox1792 ......a ground strap protects the puter chips against static electricity...you ground your self at the wrist... a strap connects too you with an elastic strap around your wrist has a bought 3' wire and on its other end a clip to a ground source...IE..the puter case or in some cases the ground terminal at the wall socket...very important..!

  • @squidskunk you can just wear rubber gloves right?

  • @squidskunk you dont need a strap, just keep touching your case.

  • @Quasax100 ...ya..ok...you keep touching the case...meanwhile ill enjoy the full use of both my hands..

  • @squidskunk i noticed that too. i was a bit annoyed -.-

  • I only understand English man. (ai? soket? daa..?)

  • he means duhhh

    derrrrr

    lol

  • nice job

the answer to the do all motherboards have a lever? NO they don't all have them. older slot motherboards don't have them.

all current! consumer level motherboards DO have levers!

  • all motherbords with ai cpu soket have lever.daaaaaaaaaa......

  • this is very interesting!

  • Do all motherboards have a lever? (Sorry if this has been asked.)

  • yes, the all do.

  • Yes, something must hold CPU ;).

  • the paste was probably in the heatsink.......

  • And this is the to------and this is the top of it lol. Anyways nice videos really helpful and seriously guys hes pretty much building this comp for a demonstration so no hes not gonna go balls out on a comp.

  • It's just to demonstrate how to put it together, not like he's gonna go spend 3 grand to show us how to put together a computer

  • "17 November 2008"

  • Why does that matter? I built mine in February of 08 and I have an Intel Quad Core Q6600.

  • I like the intel ones too because you can use the fans that come with their CPU^^

  • amd processors come with stock heatsink and fans too

  • dude u really know u should remove all electric static from your body or something before you begin by touching a lamp

  • He prob did but forgot to mention it ;)

  • Just touching something metal doesn't mean you are grounded. You need to be electrically connected to the grounding system of the building in which you are doing the assembly. Note: shadowblade said "while [the psu] is plugged." That is because the psu is connected to your building grounding system ONLY when it is plugged in. A lot of people fry components because they ignore grounding and shielding. What is sad is that they usually blame the manufacturers.

  • He says "your gonna wanna" a lot xD

  • thats true

  • Yeah its kinda in the next video where he actually puts the fan in.....yeah

  • pumped I going to build me a case

  • NOTE: Everyone attempting this, you need to wear something metal such as a watch to ground you! This will ensure not to fry anything on your PC.

  • Don't forget to apply thermal paste and put on your heatsink.

  • "you gona wana" :)

  • I opened my Dell E520 and my CPU didn't even look like it could even come out.

  • "Dell" theres your problem

  • It's not like it needs to be replaced, it runs at 3.0Ghz which I guess is pretty good for a factory processor.

  • thats because the have massive ass coolers on them that take up most of the bloody case lol, opened my mums dell to clean it and I was like wtf... not even a computer that realy need cooling xD

  • Yea, I don't understand why I have 2 fans, one in the front and a big ass one in the back. I think on summer nights I could probably use it as a fan. lol

  • bad idea. coz at summer the computer gets really hot. even with my 5fans it gets over 30 degress. and the cpu over 60 and the graphic card too

  • I've never gad a problem with it over heating, even when left on, I guess because my air conditioner is always running. My laptop is a different story, its stainless steel areas was as hot as a heated pan when I left it on by mistake.

  • sounds like your rich :P

lucky air conditioner. air conditioner rly helps cooling in the pc. i always have the side windows open these days

  • I'm not, Energy saver air conditioners really do save energy.

  • oh didnt know that :P my parents says that they take out many energy.. so the electricity bill will go up.. thats why we dont have one

  • that is because something called AIRFLOW. the fresh air comes in on the front and hot air gets exhauted at the back.
