  • This is amazing! I'm going to change the way I think about dating

  • Please! more crap as usual- even so called Christian women expect the guy to have a big salary and all the material things. My parents didn't have a dime to their name when they got married- but no these females today want a guy to have a cushy high paying job and a house, etc. And if you don't have all the material stuff you can even forget about a date. So a guy has to be at least into his mid thirties before he can have the salary and material stuff to please a "modern" Christian woman.

  • @Sarot65 another thing- why is marriage always forced down the throats of young people? There are actually people who prefer to stay single and celibate, but that seems to be a "sin" in our churches today. And people think your weird or whatever- we need people to preach the whole bible and not just parts of it!

  • @Sarot65 trtrue abotu women these days or a lot of themn i should saymy dad was poor and in medical school when he and my mom married. they lived for free in a cottage my grandparents owned while he finished school

  • I don't see why the woman's role is viewed as 'degrading'. Yes women are called to be submissive but if you really love the person then that shouldn't be a problem, right? I love the Lord and because I love Him I take joy in submitting onto Him. I'm sure if women were in a godly marriage they would have no problem with submission and it would actually be pleasant and sufficient. The problem doesn't seem to be with a cultural change but the fact that sin is present destroying what God intended.

  • The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Genesis 2:18. God made Eve for Adam. He formed her, shaped her, molded her.

  • @roho81289 Obviously what the Bible says about gender roles has escaped you... God's general plans and ways of doing things don't change. This whole feminist nonsense where a woman has a career? It's UNGODLY. How we carry out are relationships shouldn't change much from the 1st to the 21st century. It IS STILL the man's role to economically provide for his family, and it IS the woman's role to take care of the home and YES, homeschooling is Biblical, government education is NOT.

  • @ALDean292 since when is women having careers "feminist nonsense"? i surely hope you're trolling, but if not, you, sir, are a chauvinistic pig.

  • @identity313, I don't know how old you are, but you've got a good head on your shoulders. I enjoy Bro. Paul, he's right on. Boys, listen to what he's saying. I'm currently "courting" (I hate using that term cause these days it's dating with the label "Christian") a woman whom I will shortly marry. btw, @liveonforever18, age is not the important thing, it's maturity and responsibility. If you don't know and understand DEEP theology and why it applies to all of life then you can't lead a woman.

  • Ok, I understand being emotionally mature enough to date, but having to economically take care of a woman? Shouldn't they find a woman who can take care of herself? It IS the 21st century

  • This.. was honestly just what I needed to hear ^_^ thank you God! :D

  • This philosophy of dating perpetuates the man-centered, patriarchal system of power that reduces woman to the role of helpless ward of a male protector, and it justifies this in the name of "God."

Men are to be judged on their ability to provide, protect, and plan, all roles that imply women are helpless on their own and need a man to care for them.

These gender roles ignore the unique humanity of people, male and female, and stifle individuality and personal opportunity.

    that's just MHO.

  • @rbgg2010 I'm sorry to hear you've been brainwashed by our culture. Actually, both science & Christianity show gender roles work best. Us doing this does NOT put them down! Just the opposite! Look at history. Those who respected women were the ones who did the most to take care of them. It has nothing to do with them being "incapable", it is the way God set things up, and it works best. Btw, it doesn't stifle individuality. Perhaps the way some act does, but these roles help rather than hinder.

  • What is the exact name of this sermon?

  • @jesuscross01 "A Dating Sermon by Paul Washer" you can find it on SermonAudio. God Bless!

  • It would be nice if you gave us this guys name so we could learn more...

  • @logician3 His name is Paul Washer (heartcymissionary)

  • This is one heck of a post!!! Im in the 313 too...Thankx

  • This is very interesting..

  • I deeply wish I had obeyed this teaching. I regret all the previous "relationships" I've had before marriage. Treating women/girls as mothers and sisters is proper. This is wise advice.

  • i believe in god but im not gonna wait to date or anything and i really dont care what anyone thinks so this is pretty retarted i mean yes 12 year old children should not date but around the age of like 16 then you should be able to !

  • @liveonforever18 The God that you profess to believe in said in 2Tim. 2:22 "FLEE youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart." Your "belief" in God should govern how you serve Him. Jesus said to those who believe in God, "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you?" (Luke 6:46). Be warned, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death" (Prov. 14:12).

  • @identity313 i was just saying geez dont need to pull the bible out on me

  • @liveonforever18 If you are ready to consider dating at 16 then you assume the responsibility to marry shortly after as well. I learned the hard way and I have suffered the consequences. God has a created a way for young men and young women to carefully consider a relationship and it involves the Bible and trusting His Word. When this way is not followed there will be consequences. "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap" (Gal. 6:7).

  • @identity313 Thanks a lot identity313 for sharing such testamony for us.

Right before I became 18 year old, I went see these videos to become a man, but I realized after one week that I was still not able to satisfy God's terms.

  • @liveonforever18 I would say that our modern view of dating is completly perverted by our culture. I have never dated, but I have had friendships with girls. I didn't know that we should treat womans differently. Because of ignorance, my heart is broken in pieces.

Women should be treated as a well being as the Church and her relashionship with Christ. Do you think it would be nice if Christ was saying that He was coming this night, but was making a joke?

The church would seriously be sadened.

  • @liveonforever18 That natural attraction for women which God has placed within you is a good thing. It is not however, to be used to propel you to dishonor a young lady. It is an indication that it's time to begin working hard to prepare a place for your future bride. The dating game is nothing less than preparation for divorce. Biblical courtship is done with a young man's heart submitted to The Word of God. God will not lead a man to rob a young lady of her virtue. NOT even a kiss stolen.

  • so, if we dont date, how do we find our mate? im so confused...

  • @xopinkpaprxo - What is your definition of dating?

  • @identity313 You know, going on dates, having a "boyfriend"

  • @xopinkpaprxo you pray for God to lead you to your spouse, (with a sign even), then you get into courtship then married...simple staff

  • It is interesting that a few well-chosen pitcures can enhance a spoken message in such a way. Well done.

  • Amen!

  • This is awsome. I really love being poured into, but around things like marriage ... it's extremely helpful to get a good course/teaching on this. Not what a perverted societies views. I'm extremely excited to find the Woman of God that is set up for me. Marriage is such an exciting thing! God Bless you guys. Glory to God.

  • As a parent of 2 "adolescent" boys, I'm grateful for this message of manhood. It's exactly what I've been trying to install in my sons.

  • If your not ready to marry you dont need to be in a relationship

  • @JIX9ISLER1986

If you have never been in a relationship, you will never know when you're ready to marry. You can only know by growing in a relationship with someone. If you wait until you are already growth it will be very difficult to acomodate and accept one person.

  • @7AndreeaM I think you should watch this video again until you understand it.

  • As a christian who is just starting out on this strange thing society calls "dating", i found this video very helpful

  • Who was speaking?
