  • When he was talking about its wingspan was he talking about its rotors or its stub wings?

  • Russian helicopters are the best and baddest in the world...

  • Hi can you please provide me the complete documentary link

  • The AH-64 Apache Can Eat That Piece Of Shit

  • @danrtopp

    no, I wrote apache's software

  • @issarevs In your dreams, do you work for boeing ?

  • @danrtopp NO. That what I thought

  • Helicopter pioneers were often times russian.Even when an immigrant from russia named Igor Sikorsky became an American, and practically invented and designed the average modern helicopter!Anyway,I myself like the Hind and it's variants better than the Cobras and Apaches. The only real advantage of the Apache was night time combat capabilities, but the upgraded variant of the Hinds are now called MI-35 instead of 24.These new ones probably have better night time combat abilities by now.

  • Does anyone have any information on the YakBYu main gun that the Hind is equipped with? I'm interested primarily in the barrel length and cyclic rate.

  • can you believe that sound of the MI-24 rotors can be the most beautiful sound in the world? Especially when you are in deep s... Long live, MI-24!

  • Thanks everyone for my 20,000 + views its appreciated

  • @tregino Now 35,000

  • HE WAS ALREADY THEN(IN YEARS 70-TIES)SUPERIOR TO THE WESTERN HELICOPTERS,IF TODAY WE COMPARE TO THE MODERN RUSSIAN HELICOPTER OR OTHER MILITARY TECHNOLOGY CONCEPTS IN RELATION TO THE WEST, HOW DOES TO MAKE LOOK SUPERRIOR IN RELATION TO WESTERN MILITARY TECHNOLOGY?!WEST SHOULD BE LITTLE LESS AROGANT AND AGRESIVE TO THE STATES OF THE THIRLD WORLD!THE WEST SHOULD BE MORE REALISTIC WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD,THEY ARE TOO MUCH AROGANT!THATS THE REASON WHY ARE THEY SO HEATED AROUND THE WORLD

  • @MrDex369 Dex. Its all about the pilot behind the controls not the aircraft. If you put a highly skilled pilot in a hind. Then it will be able to square off with an apache or cobra and lay down some serious hurt. No matter how advanced the aircraft. Its always the pilot who comes out on top.

  • "Hunchback"? Never heard that one, only "striped one" (tiger) and "crocodile". Maybe, just maybe "huchback" was a nickname for some old version, like Mi-24A

  • @SwineNahNah In Cuba they call it CAIMAN meaning Alligator and they called Mig-21 Salchicha (Sausage) and Mig-23 Choriso (Hot Dog) and the Mig-29 (Mortadella) Mortadella... jajajaaa Im serious my grandpa was a Tank crew in the angolan war against SAADF.

  • Those things are bad ass.

  • it's like the one in the call of duty games :)

  • US choppers are getting shot down by airsoft pistols

  • True example of Russian might!

  • A Masterpeice of Soviet-Russian Engineering.

The Fastest Helecopter in the World Until My Countrys "Westland Lynx" (Which Stiil Holds the Latter Record to this Day) & Still a Amazing Machine, Britains Next Attack Helecopter after the Apache Longbows Wear out should Be a Joint Anglo-Russian Design, The Yank's would be in for a Shock thats for sure.

My Compliments for a Great Video, Although the Narrator's Accent was/is a bit of an Accuired Taste.

  • @michaelfergusonuk Good comment abot the Narrator. I wanted to over dub it but coldn't through loss of other sound.. Britain should never be forgot when it comes to certain engineering and manafacturing

  • @tregino Well Said Comrade.

I've Got A 1989 Documentary which I've been Hoping to Upload Soon, My only Problem's Are that I've Never Done A Upload Before & that The Painfully Strong Yankish Accent I'm Stuck with Since Removing it would For Now Be Too Complicated.

    Still... I Shall Prevail!. (Somehow)

Alway's A Plesure to Met someone With a Liking For Engineering (British & Russian).

  • @michaelfergusonuk russian machinary is superiour to all other shit. And far more beautifull to.

  • @postmen321 That comment could be debated forever , but then again you'd find a Lada sexy i think !!

  • @tregino yes

  • @postmen321 i cant argue with that LOL .

  • @michaelfergusonuk The narrator's accent was american. I presume that you are british? And who are the Yank's? And the Lynx from your country is no doubt one of the best helicopters.

  • @MrJp990 I know that, i was simply stating that i found the Narrators Accent rather offputting.

(as an expression of constructive criticism, as politely as i could phrase it).

You Presume Correctly ,over here the term"Yankee" (or Yank for short) is what we tend to use to refer to people from the US (just like they call us "Limeys"), usually in a Satirical or otherwise Humorous way (rather than a Pejorative one).

  • @michaelfergusonuk Hey, you should upload that '89 documentary, And do you hate us Americans?

  • @MrJp990 Not quite sure what you mean by "'89 Documentary".

To answer your query: I do not "Hate" US'ites (i have extended family over there after all), however i admit i'm rather put off by the US's general attitude (Individual & Political) towards other countries, especially my own (often one of Contempt/ Belittlement or just simple Ignorance).

The way many US Tourists conduct themselves in Central London being one example

(swaggering around like calling everything [& everyone] "quaint").

  • @michaelfergusonuk Whoops, disregard that "like" near the end (typo).

  • @michaelfergusonuk I read one of your comments earlier about uploading a 1989 documentary. You should. We tend to shorten dates in the 20th and 21st century like 1989 is '89 and 2011 is '11.

  • @michaelfergusonuk I dont know what you mean with the fastest helicopter, but the fastest Attack Helicopter i know is the KA-50.

  • @Talshet The Fastest Helicopter in Military Service is what i meant

(the "Mil Mi-24 Hind" held the record in it's for several years, then the Westland Lynx broke the record, & holds it to this day).

  • @michaelfergusonuk I think the KA50 is the fastest Helicopter in Military Service it can fly with thruttle 400km/h how much lynx can fly?

  • @Talshet 350km/h^^

  • buetiful and well designed helicopter

  • I still prefer the apache because it has much more advanced avionics. Mi-24 has a very limited night attack capability.

  • @LokiG36

New helicopters have night attack capability.

Back in Afghan war the whole Soviet military had limited night attack capability - they were fighting during daytime.

  • @LokiG36 compare Apache with KA-50 , you cant compare Hind with Apache, its totaly another helicopter

  • @SlavaSvarogu

yes you are totaly right, but the same can be said about K-50 and Mi-28. KA-50/52 for example is much more maneuvrable then Apache, but it lacks the sophisticated avionicis, like FLIR, Longbow Fire control Radar, network capabilities like on Apache Block III. The same can be said about the russian 4th generation planes, SU-27 and Mig -29 will kick the ass of F-16 and F-15 in dogfight, but the americans have better radars, and can win in BVR engagements.

  • when the black hawk fucks the apache u get this shit as the baby

  • really unique machine. Haven't see any helicopters of the same design.

  • My favorite chopper - MI24 HIND - the best of the best.

  • JACK VON DAMME THIS THING.. Its not only a regular russian helicopter..its insanely fuckin pimped out...it looks like a friggen Ghetto Dragonfly

  • This one is better than the Apache for a single reason, his role!

The role of the apache is "Attack Helicopter", but the role of the Mi-24 is "Two-seat Gunship Helicopter" that means its capable of carrying not only missiles, cannons and rockets, the Mi-24 can carry more rockets than any helicopter (128 of 57mm or 80 of 80mm) and 2 huge bombs.

  • @Kriegerdammerung you cant really compare the two because they are alot different in size and role. apache is attack only, while hind can also carry 8 troops

  • shut the fuck up about the goddamn Apache do you know why its a piece of shit cause it gets all the upgrades it wants but i get to starve in a shitty fucked up economy so fuck the military budget and also hail Russia and the hind

  • @vegasclans poor armor? they are famous for their armor.

Any chopper is "easy" to shoot down, they are vulnerable by their design but incredible versatile which is why they are useful

  • Russian power!

  • The Hinds presented on this documentary are from Polish Air Force regiment.

  • i agree with you however i do believe that it it is of russian origin therefore i believe that term russian is correct

  • Of course. It was just a curiosity :)

  • no i apologise i replied while being a bit drunk big love from holland,

  • You can`t compare those two coppers. Hind is for troop support, equipped mostly with unguided weapons. It was meant for assaults on light armoured vechicles and infatry. It is sort of an upgraded UH-1. No advanced electronics, except later with a nightvision. Most versions of Hind are nowdays outdated while AH-64 is improving every year. While Hind has the rollbarrel cannon, Apache has one single barrel, but a massive caliber to tank busting. It is primarly meant for destroying tanks.

  • hind can be equipped with guided guided missiles capable of taking out tanks. the modern ones do have advanced electronics. apache has just single barrel 30mm and 4 pylons hind has double barrel 30mm and 23mm and 4 barrel rotating 12.7mm 2 door mounted 7.62mm and 6 pylons. its the only chopper which can drop bombs and its the fastest attack chopper. it can hold 8 fully armed troops and they each have a window which they can open and use as a gun port. the hind is superior over the apache

  • I doubt. Like I said, Hind is a versatile helicopter, a gunship, while apache is an attack helicopter and has one purpouse only - to destroy tanks and armoured vehicles. Hind can`t cope with that as well as the apache does. It is also not the fastest attack chopper. The title goes to British Lynx.

  • The Apache is eqquiped with a 30mm automatic Boeing M230 chain gun is located under the fuselage. It provides a rate of fire of 625 rounds a minute. The helicopter has capacity for up to 1,200 rounds of ammunition. The AH-64D is armed with the AGM-114D Longbow Hellfire air-to-surface missile which has a millimetre wave seeker which allows the missile to perform in full fire and forget mode. Range is 8km to 12km.

  • The Apache can be equipped with air-to-air missiles (Stinger, AIM-9 Sidewinder, Mistral and Sidearm) and the advanced precision kill weapon system (APKWS), formerly known as Hydra, family of guided and unguided 70mm rockets. Plans to arm the Apache with the advanced precision kill weapon system (APKWS) II, a laser-guided version of the Hydra were shelved in the FY2008 budget. The US Army awarded BAE Systems a development contract for the APKWS II in April 2006.

  • The AH-64D Longbow Apache is equipped with the Northrop Grumman millimetre-wave Longbow radar. The Longbow fire control radar incorporates an integrated radar frequency interferometer for passive location and identification of radar-emitting threats. An advantage of millimetre wave is that it performs under poor-visibility conditions and is less sensitive to ground clutter. The short wavelength allows a very narrow beamwidth, which is resistant to countermeasures.

  • The Longbow Apache can effect an attack in 30 seconds. Plus more other advancements that make it pretty much untouchable. In 2011 all U.S. Ah-64 Apaches will be upgraded to block III (WAH-64)

  • I still, think they should have made the commanche...

  • newer modifications have all the electronics you want.

How is AH-64 improving every year.

For example, what is the improvement over Longbow?

  • Exactly, that is why the RAH-66 project was stopped. It was a more agile chopper than AH-64 but it would be too expensive to go to a newer design and production while gaining nothing in particular in a war zone. Electronics and tank busting from a large distance is all that matters.

  • In July 2005, the US Army awarded Boeing a development contract for Block III improvements, to enter service from 2011. Block III includes increasing digitisation, the joint tactical radio system, enhanced engines and drive systems, capability to control UAVs and new composite rotor blade. The new blades, which successfully completed flight testing in May 2004, increase the Apache's cruise speed, climb rate and payload capability.

  • The Block III system development and demonstration (SDD) contract was awarded to Boeing in July 2006. First flight of the Apache Block III was in July 2008. The US Army plans to upgrade all its Apache fleet to Block III standard.

  • CAn't say what's better cause it's all about the pilot, mang!

  • mi24hind is much better than U.S apache

  • @salserony hahahaha funny guy

  • @salserony

ofcourse you know all about it :')

    apache is way more improved

  • @salserony rofl hahahahaha um....NO, Apache is way better had has killed hundreds of tanks, besides 1 on 1 the apache will own the hind. it's much more advanced then the hind too. hell a apache hellfire can be laser guided too, from the ground.

  • @salserony Combat performance records or you're wrong lol.

  • @salserony You would be right if it had the avionic and electronics of the apache

  • @salserony totally beast ownage :P

  • @salserony i am no friend of the us but i guess that the apache technology is superior to the hind!

  • @salserony Apache is more like Russian Ka-50 Hind its unique helicopter you cant compare with nothing

  • @salserony You know nothing about helicopters if you say that. The Hind is a Gunship, it transports soldiers and provides air support, and can also function in Anti Armor. The Apache is a full on Anti Armor and Ground attack heli. They're in different classes. The Hind can transport, unlike the Apache. But the Apache is much better for ground attack and Anti Armor. They're to different to compare.

  • @BlindBusDrivr its power to weight ratio is huge difference. 200 mph at 28.000 pounds. what kind of engine does that. 1960's development. no wonder russia went broke all they made was weapons. my brother inlaw has a fully functional AK47 it was made in 1948 and works fine only the rear sight and a pressure seal on th gas piston have been replaced. usa and soviev union represented polar opposites in weapons design. "different classes" no just different

  • lol it could also drop bombs!!!
