lavitzzz is so off base on this topic.its sad also..what the nuclear industry doesn't tell you they completely destroy the forest or farmland or village where a uranium mine is located.....by bulldozing the trees and topsoil into a giant pile with gigantic gas/diesel guzzling heavy equipment, polluting the surrounding rivers with toxic chemicals and radioactive dust.....in case the nuclear people didnt U.this is only a very small part of the damage they do.this "DIRTY"NUCLEAR INDUSTRY.
It's unfortunate that you assume individuals who are willing to take a public stance on an issue are uninformed. I would argue that the opposite is true.
Additionally the suggested alternative is investment into responsible and sustainable renewable energy sources not fossil fuels (coal is a fossil fuel).
Sad to see people protest against something they have no information about. Nuclear technology is very efficient and way more green than coal and fossil fuels. So in essence this nuclear power is going green, just in a different way. The waste is minimal as it can be refined through their process and RE-USED as energy again.
Fossil fuel corporations here; thanks for blocking our only competition.
