I'm no fan of Dan and Jordan, but they have Joe pegged pretty well. Also, with regards to the U-Turn, people may opt to use the it later on because the Race then has progressed enough for the true contenders to establish themselves. Also, if you use the U-Turn early and your victims survive the leg, they will likely be out to make your life on the Race a living hell and will also try to U-Turn you later.
