  • the mathness and the testosteroness is so apparant in mech. engineering it's really quite gross.

  • he totally didnt wash his hands.

  • :D :D...

  • Today I learned that engineers, while competent and skilled, are not very funny

  • Wooooooooooooooooooooooooo PIG SOOIE!!!

    Go IE @ U of A!

  • hey , i am willing to study IE but the thing is i love math and physics but i really hate chemistry . so do u think that i will suit to be an IE? thanks .

  • @101012020230303 Yes, you do. Chemistry is just a little fraction of the IE curricula (I had just one basic chemistry course and one about thermodynamics). Most of the courses are math and physics based so If you like them you are more than qualified for studying IE.

  • @101012020230303 remember the final objective of a E.I. is to raise the eficienty of any process...its like to be an investigator, ask your self, ¿what im can do for this process in order to reach the maximum efficientie on it? you have not to be an expertise on chem. or math. creativity is the most important here....

  • @101012020230303 IE indicates math things and chemestry........... you will bw

  • im an industrial enginering student and our professor gave our group a task to report on something bout product execution or the execution phase...our problem is that we dont know where to begin our report...books gave us so many info that we just cnt understand.can u suggest of a reliable source containing such topic?thanks you very much it will be a great help :D

  • @mayamatz20 hahaha 11 months later i recomend you read the core tools, AMEF, PPAP, SPC and MSA.......especificaly the APQP there you can read which are the steps for a good production launch.....

  • @vmp0001 wat are those?

  • @vmp0001 hahaha ur reply is so late bt thanks anyweis and what are those you are saying where can i find dem?

  • proud to be an IE!!! :D

  • Is it really important that you're very good in math? I mean if you get this course, and basically it has principles and laws in math/calculus doesn't it? Is it hard? im an incoming college and IE is one of the courses i'm thinking if i'm going to pick it.

  • Hi I was reading ur post, well im studiying IE and I can tell u that u must know alot of math, but no just only the math, y must know aboout physics and maybe a little bit of programing for numerical methods just to create programs :)! so funny hhaha so harder, but is the better choise!!! :)!

  • oh that's school. I love a bit of Statistics, but what I love the most is Analytic Geometry, some calculus yeah. I dont know if A.G. needs to apply in math of IE but you know im pretty sure every engineering needs Geometry every engineering courses has.

ps: thanks for your warm reply :)

  • youre welcome :)

Dont forget, an engineer has to be creative also trying to solve the problems using the science :D!! and math models. solve ur life, be strong

hehhe The geometry will be used in statics, mecanics, Dinamic, Phisics... in all the Engeneering do your best

    Bye :D

  • "solve your life, be strong" thanks for your inspirational thoughts :) i'll do my best and study hard for this IE and I do hope each and every subject could help me alot as well as the teachers and school itself.. coz the this school i picked is special in engineering. Thank you dude =D goodluck to you too =D thank you once again, see ya

  • @capamagic excellent comment......creativity is more important.

  • yes!! i love how you guys described IE- the link between business and engineering..love it :)

  • haha milk was a bad choice

  • Comment removed

  • Industrial Engineers need strong statistical and quantitative math backgrounds. Also common sense helps alot.

  • yeah ... well i m having some fun learning stochastic processes ...

  • Did you know on any Lathe machine or any other cutting and turning machine in a industry most people forget the time of making the result of a workpiece by just manual driven instead why not simply calculating the speed 'n'.

Lathe turning Formula: n = (300 x velocity) / diameter less time less hassle.

  • i'm also taking up industrial engineering this documentary is so very cool^^ is it really important that IE people should be good in MAth?? haahaha im not that good with it

  • Yes, math is a very big part of Industrial Engineering! Many IEs have a minor in math.

  • ohhh...i also have minor math like calculus..and thank GOD i pass it..XD
