I actually just started using the hair mask, but along with the Carol's Daughter Rosemary Mint Shampoo, and an Olive Oil regular conditioner. I absolutely LOVE the hair mask and it is now part of my regular deep conditioning routine. :-)

I love this product!!! I am a black woman dry, puffy, porous, permed & colored hair. ( My hair was 80% gray; since I am a "cougar", the gray hair had to go, thus the reason for the color on permed hair) I also inherited a family trait where my hair breaks off horribly in the back. Notice that I said "had". I have tried many things to tame my hair but to no avaii, then I tried Monoi. I can't believe how luxurious and silky my hair is now. And, it is growing; no more breakage in the back.

Great! I've just watched your reviews on the CD Monoi collection. It sounds like something I will consider. Have you tried any of the Shea Moisture collections? I've been using the the curling souffle collection (of which their seems to be mixed review about on YT) It works fabulous for me. And I'm also using the repair products as well---I have not complaints about either--I luv both collects equally. The curl souffle you have to work with like you do with KCCC, just so you know.

You have bee-utfiul hair! However I noticed that you had to use what I consider to be quite a bit of that shampoo and we all know that Carol's Daughter ain't cheap, lol.

Also, after I clean my hair,I detoxify my face using a hot olive oil & cotton pads(or a new wash cloth). I gently rub my face until my pores are clean. Then I use a facial cleanser to remove the olive oil and apply a light moisturizer. This helps detoxify the skin from toxins and access oils and products from the hair.

I don't understand the hype around CB products. I just tried her monoi shampoo and conditioner and it left my hair an un-moisturized brittle mess, I had to go back into the shower to use my regular conditioner to get it back into shape. I also tried some of her other products such as the smoothies and I was underwhelmed. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Its all hype with zero performance.

It appears to be a good product line, but in my experience with Carol's Daughter her products are overly expensive and you do not get a lot of product. That shampoo reminds me of WEN shampoo. You have to use a lot of the product in order to achieve the coverage you want, and you only get a little bit in the bottle (and of course it is extremely expensive).

I am glad though that she came out with a better product line because her other hair products do not deliver results for me at all.

That's one thing that get's me about sulfate free shampoo...NO LATHER. It gets me cause I don't think my hair is getting clean cause there's no lather. I kinda cheat by using sulfate free shampoo and conditioner and a regular shampoo so I get the satisfaction of lather. :)

ok I tried this today and I have to admit, I dont like it. I want to, but I dont. The shampoo stripped my hair and it felt kinda rough. and the conditioner didnt make my hair soft at all. It just sat on my hair and thats it. I had to follow up with another conditioner to get some kind of softness in my hair. I guess it really just depends on the person.

@Mrsdevsgirl Slippery feel & very different from sulfate shampoos. CD sulfate free shampoo doesn't make your hair feel dry, it didn't tangle my hair, it was soft enough for me to comb out, and it doesn't suds up ;)

hi, did you find that the conditioner had enough slip to detangle? i know i saw you detangling, but it didn't seem too slippery, almost as if the shampoo had more slip. so cool u got to try them, cos they are quite expensive, but sound really nice!

I recommend Black women to use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, especially those who are natural. Sulfate shampoos do strip your hair of its natural oils, therefore cause more breakage and split ends. I have been using Miss Jessie's Sulfate-Free cleanser and I love it because I know it cleanses my hair and it still retains its moisture after I wash it. I use Kinky Culry Knot Today as my detangler because it really does it sjob and smells SOOOO good! I might give this a try.
