my C6 shows "phone startup failed, contact retailer" . I cannot use my phone to do anything. I would like to delete it's contacts and SMS and then want to sell it. So how do I delete SMS and contacts before giving it to another person?

Is there a way to open the phone and do it in a "hardware" way?

there is an alot easy way to reboot your Nokia C6

1)Open Menu

2)Open Apps

3)Find an app called Front Magnifier and open it

4)Click on Settings

5)Click Apply

6)Click OK and the phone will reboot

To hard Rest Nokia c6

You have to press 4 different buttons for this to work:

Turn Off the device

Press the Volume Down button

Press the Camera Button

Press the Menu Button

Last step is to press the Red Power/End Call button to initiate the wipe

Keep holding the four buttons until you see the Nokia Logo

When you see the welcome message it means the Hard Reset was successful.

You can back up your phone using the Nokia OVI Suite. Just connect your phone to your computer either by Bluetooth or USB cable and then load the Nokia OVI suite. When OVI loads click on Tools in the menu at the top of the program and then select Backup.

However I am not to sure if it will allow you to back up any apps you have paid for as in commercial ones. Perhaps someone else can confirm this?

You can also try a program called Oxygen Phone Manager as I have used this in the past to backup other Nokia phone content that the handset software that came with the phone would not.

But I haven't used this with my Nokia C6 yet as I only just brought my Nokia C6 last week.

that problem of disk error came to me when i was just moving a song from a folder to another folder in my memory card!!! even i use nokia c6 n even i get that popup all the time!!! i can't play any media file at all!! do you suggest the same for me too???????

my nokia c6 keeps showing disk error..... everytime i try to make a call...it shows disk error and i cant do anything on it...i keep pressing stop and the popup still keeps coming....i dont know what to do....please help

Hi thank you for your inquiry. So the issue is when you try to make a call and it shows an error message stating there is a disk error. I believe it could be 1 of 3 possiblities. The cause of the problem is either your SIM Card, Memory card, or onboard memory. To troubleshoot this problem, try inserting another sim card or memory card into your phone and dial a number. If that doesn't work, then you will need to try doing a master reset. Remember to backup your data. =)

wondering if anyone could help me...

my nokia c6 suddenly has a blank screen but if i press random areas of the screen i can still select things (without seeing what i'm doing). i dont really know what happened, is there a way i can stop this? i tried restarting my phone but the screen is still blank. i can STILL press buttons, just can't see ANYthing. :S it's only about a month old.
