I just got an sm57 and have no clue how to use it, I plug it in to my toneport and blast my amp right next to the mic and the guitar is like a faint whisper and its got this bizarre echoy and chorasy sound that I cant get rid of plz message me back

do you hear the wahh sund at the start well bassically look at his hand he is using the rubber thing to cover he 3 low pitch strings so he can make that effect when he pushes down on it, try it yourself just hit a string open and push on it above the neck brigde

get it and buy some emgs as well. You can get some emgs with covers and it doesnt affect the tone

Once you get it, you'll never go back to playing another guitar. Absolutely, BAD-ASS.

You can play pretty much anything with that guitar. Blues, metal, experimental, whatever you want, just by messing around with the tones and all while knowing your playing one of the sexiest guitars alive. Trust me, for 349, it's fucking worth it.

I'd layer the guitar a few times and double the drums once, and the second drum track give it some type of reverb, BUT low in the mix to give it a bigger tone and a bit more depth. You can layer the bass as well and maybe as some chorus, and again make that track a little lower in the mix. Your guitar tone is cool

I actually dont have an amp yet. all i have is an acoustic. the les paul will hopefully be my first electric. (i just gotta get highest bid on ebay)

I was asking what pedal because i allready planned on getting an amp.

The pedal you suggested looks nice but Would i be able to play songs like the top gun anthem as well songs as heavy as iron man, or would i need a different pedal?

(I apologize for all the questions, but i've only been playing for a few months and have alot to learn)

You'll be fine with that pedal.But remember that most amps already have a build in distortion.So you probably won't need a pedal.(I don't use one).

metal zone is according to me "the" distortion pedal, u can get alot of differnt sounds so it shouldn't be a problem
