  • ERIc B Made my day! Ra the GOD MC!

  • One of the BEST, but Cant play on my Mobile!!!!!

  • Rakim is nothing short of incredible. Amazing song.

  • The best MC period. NOONE can touch Rakim, pass or present. The closest one was Biggie.

  • @skip1lp imo, Nas>Biggie, and probably the closest to Rakim is Kane.

  • CLASSIC.

  • midnight star whatup

  • Classic. Great job with the lyrics.

  • this is real music, Beatles had I want to hold your hand, and Eric B. & Rakim have Whats on your mind...both songs just want the simple pleasure of female compatibility, just want a girl willing to have a physical and mental connection, which is more noble to me than "making love in a club"

  • Good job with the lyrics on screen, must've taken a lot of time!

  • respect !!!!

  • Big L and Rakim:Two greatest lyricists of all time.

  • @dinoman6 YES IN DEED!!!!!

  • Im married to this man(Rakim) in my head. lol!

  • Damnnnnnn sick sick sick...

  • I'm surprised Eric B really turned out a very raw sound compared to the very polished sound of the Midnight Star original. I wondered if he wanted to give this one a bit of street cred

Rakim's lyrically untouchable as usual, but Eric B.'s production on this song is especially fantastic.

  • Incredible song.

  • l absolutely have to laugh at those that don't have rakim as their best emcee of all time.

  • Great Ol' School hit

  • It is lost to most of you that music, especially hip hop, is the dominion of youth. Yes, in my mind and time, Rakim is the greatest and his flow unparalleled. But I am sure Lil Wayne's followers will make the same claim in about 15 to 20 years. However, the one thing that's missing from today's hip hop is the art of story telling. This song is a great story with loads of great metaphors. I am so thankful for being part of this era of hip hop.

  • Anybody know where I can find the "demo" version of this song? I used to have a version of this jam that had a different beat. (A lot less lyrics loops).

I personally liked that beat style better. Anyone know what I'm talking about and/or can help me re-find that version? Thanks!!

  • Simply beautiful. This was the rap song that got me addicted.

  • yo, who can spit it better?

  • this is when spitting game was respectful, classy, and polished-1 of the most verbal M.C.s eva

  • the sample is from midnight star "I'm Curious". The song itself is the shit. Bad ass sample and a bad ass rap to boot.

  • The best to ever do it! and not sound corny

  • THIS IS EXACTLY how a song about a girl should sound. THIS right here. Nothing dissrespectful, nothing nasty.

Just pure feelings put into a a pice of paper and rapped into a mic with a simple chill out beat and great sample.

Does hip-hop=complaining about soulja boy now? everybody that says somethin bout some hip-hop is complaining. dang enough is enough. Man We know yall dont like soulja boy. OK! we get it. Dang. If i complain about soulja boy can i be hip-hop too? that the way it is now-a-days

  • peek how nas rhyme patterns follow this dude shit

  • word nas is sick but can not compare to Ra

  • hello good lookin is this seat tookin? hahaha. sick lyrics and a smooth instant favorite beat. normally i hate it when a rapper gropes at the air for a rhyme but it's done with style here, just makes me smile.

  • now compare this to soulja boy then u will know hip hop is dead

  • If you think soulja boy is hip hop then obviously you would think its dead.

  • i meant compare this classic to soulja boy shit thats out now then u will no its dead

  • what i meant by that comment was that if you consider soulja boy as an HIP HOP artist then of course hip hop is dead. I dont even think of soulja booy being an artist i only listen to new cats who are actually good so therefore, to me, hip hop is not dead.

  • Rakim is one of the greatest. The reason Lyrics are important. But Soulja boy out of it. He's a kid making money let him do it.
