The Service Stabilitrak light comes on all the time in cold weather and when getting on it, its a tsb in alldata too... there also is a update for it. Secondly theres nothing wrong with the 4L70E trans besides the driver... They go all the time from people hammering it with the selector in D instead of 3 (overdrive instead of direct drive). And the 14 bolt rear axle being shitty??? You serious???????????????

On a properly tuned truck, this isn't a problem. A "check engine" light on a tuned truck means there's a problem. Guess why. Usually means it's not properly tuned.

This is an old video too. When I sold the truck it was running 7.5psi of boost with more bolt-ons.
The service stabilitrak light comes on even with basic bolt-ons. Once you exceed 425ft/lbs of torque the light comes on. You can adjust the torque output setting with EFI Live or any tuning program and get rid of the light. I hadn't done this at this particular time.

This is a good truck but the gas mileage is horrible. I owned a 2007 AWD TBSS and I needed $75 every 4 days to fill the 21 gallon tank. On a full tank, I could drive on the highway about 270 miles doing 70 MPH. I probably would've had better MPG if it was rear wheel drive but the AWD handling on the truck was amazing.
I would not buy this used modified truck because the rear end and the transmission of the TB SS are not well built, cannot handle high HP and will break. A company in California specializes in building strong components for the TBSS. Before you modify this truck, make sure you get a stronger rear end and transmission or it will fail !!!!
This happens on ALL Trailblazer SS trucks. Anything more than stock will trigger that message to go off. It can be tuned out, I just haven't done it yet.

I can bump it up to anything I want... and the problem goes away. Surprisingly, it doesn't annoy me at all. As a matter of fact, people who have simple bolt-ons will encounter this message. It's very common.
It came down to the two for me. I went with the TBSS because it was about $10k cheaper, got better fuel mileage, the LSX platform, and the 0% that GM had running. Right now I believe the TBSS has $5,000 in rebates and 0% going on. It's a helluva deal for a great truck!

1 ton is 2000lbs. When a vehicle or truck is rated as "1 ton" that doesn't mean it's only 2000lbs. It means that the vehicle can handle 1 ton per axle. Obviously a half ton would be 1000lbs per axle. My TBSS is over 2 tons. ;)

I went out and looked at the mileage after your reply. I haven't gotten to the 230K mark yet. But, I'm not far off with 224,318.
I don't drive it much now given the mileage. About once a week to haul a trailer of garbage to the dump and haul stuff that's too big for the car to handle.
No major work has been done other than the usual plugs...and wires. Exhaust manifolds were replaced around 201,000. But, no major work was done to the engine itself.
I am going to leave this comment up only because you are retarded. The truck still gets 14-16mpg even when you drive it hard. Sure beats getting 25-30mpg and looking gay in your Civic.
Because I haven't programmed it out yet. You will get this error whenever you make more than ~50hp/50tq more than stock programming. You can tune it out by cranking up the alert to 650tq.
this is the newer one right? 10-100 in approx. 12.5 seconds(throttle delay accounted for). i just uploaded my video doing 0-100 in about 11.3 seconds with Just a catback(very salty roads). i can respect that you kinda jump on the defense, but i'm just being straight forward. all i'm saying is a magnacharged TBSS should eat the jeep regardless of pulley, tranny or tune. should it not?
Ouch...sorry to hear about you blowing up your tranny. The 700R4 was never the strongest, but the stock one held out pretty well for handling 450-500 hp.

1 ton is 2000lbs. When a vehicle or truck is rated as "1 ton" that doesn't mean it's only 2000lbs. It means that the vehicle can handle 1 ton per axle. Obviously a half ton would be 1000lbs per axle. My TBSS is over 2 tons. ;)

I went out and looked at the mileage after your reply. I haven't gotten to the 230K mark yet. But, I'm not far off with 224,318.
I don't drive it much now given the mileage. About once a week to haul a trailer of garbage to the dump and haul stuff that's too big for the car to handle.
No major work has been done other than the usual plugs...and wires. Exhaust manifolds were replaced around 201,000. But, no major work was done to the engine itself.
On-time oil change works :).

Because I haven't programmed it out yet. You will get this error whenever you make more than ~50hp/50tq more than stock programming. You can tune it out by cranking up the alert to 650tq.

this is the newer one right? 10-100 in approx. 12.5 seconds(throttle delay accounted for). i just uploaded my video doing 0-100 in about 11.3 seconds with Just a catback(very salty roads). i can respect that you kinda jump on the defense, but i'm just being straight forward. all i'm saying is a magnacharged TBSS should eat the jeep regardless of pulley, tranny or tune. should it not?

Ouch...sorry to hear about you blowing up your tranny. The 700R4 was never the strongest, but the stock one held out pretty well for handling 450-500 hp.
