is it a coincedence that this video is 9:11 in length?....lol seriously though cool video steve! for some reason i searched for this game and found your vid,ive been watching your videos for awhile now but i didnt even realize how many videos youve uploaded
For me this is the 2nd best racer on the Saturn with Sega Rally topping my favourite Saturn racers. I do love this game though, loved it in the arcades and I was so happy back in the day when I heard the Saturn was getting a conversion. I did find the controls a bit twitchy when cornering as was evident here but that is the price of digital joypads I guess. However it doesn't stop this game from being highly enjoyable and I loved the music and that gruff voice "Passing the checkpoint!".
I loved this game too, only annoyance is there's only two tracks.
But i'm collecting Satuen games at the moment, and I've gotten hold of a cardboard sleeve and a plastic sleeve version of Manx TT, I've never seen that before and only came across it myself totally by accident.
Some games just aren't meant to be used with a digital joypad, and this is one of 'em. Too jerky. I'm sure analogue would be much smoother and closer to real life, sorry you didn't like analogue.
i also love this game. still got it ! but i always use the camera vieuwpoint from the back of the driver, as i get verry nervous from that shaking screen. still, this was for me, the best motocycle game on the saturn, easilly beating hang on.
I'm with markvergeer on this one. Usually I play my racing games in first person (hood or cockpit view), but first person in this game makes me want to vomit.
One thing worth noting is how poorly the analog handles on just about anything but Nights - It does save your thumbs on Burning Rangers as well
Outrun was too sensitive as indeed most of the games were if memory serves correct
The 360 pad was mostly designed around Nights's 360 movement(dpad isn't pleasent on the thumbs after a while)and i guess didn't heavily figure into Sega's plans for other games - at least not to the point they spent a lot of time with both software and controller
Excellent game on the Saturn. LOL Barf... Looking at a motorbike game with someone playing it in first person view is somewhat nauseating to me. You just made me loose my dinner :P
You do insist on using first person for every single driving game like maybe it's the law - i like this mode myself but some games just don't work that greatly
Just the sheer nature of the screen jerking around can't surely be much fun in this mode - with analog yes
Quite a nice game this one though i think many would disagree that it was the best on Saturn
Do you play these driving games much at all or do you prefer just tipping your toes in each time - just curious really
Nice video! I love the Saturn, check my channel to see my collection of all my satutrn pal games (although i will do an update soon as i only need 2 games to have it fully complete). Steve if you have bomberman on the saturn plz do a video as i love that game to death! (also notice your a music producer, also check my channel to listen to a few of my productions)...
Great review as always. Just one little thing. Could you include the publishing-years of the games too? Just for the record. I'd find that interesting.

It isnt really Manx TT without the bike controllers but i doubt you could get those without the prices being astronomical

I only insist on using that view when it works best for me.
Some of these games I've played a lot, some I haven't... but I've played all enough to know which view I prefer.
I think the only game I prefer with an External view is Outrun Coast To Coast.
