  • Nice. I love it =)

  • from now on I am Scotish. 2 person didn't feel the vibe. Greetings from Poland

  • @gotitonmp3 Ok, but i should tell you this music is Irish, not Scottish.

  • @gotitonmp3 it's irish buddy

  • Beautiful!

  • this song makes me want to dance all night :P i love it :D

  • SUENA A MUSICA CELTA

  • @sabrinatts ES musica celta. Galicia e Irlanda tienen musica tradicional de origen celta.

  • There are comments proporting to come from me that are completely of nuisance origin. It is a case of identity theft

  • viva a musica celta!!!!!!

e, por suposto, que viva Galiza!!

  • nice ! i love this tune ever since i heard it the first time on an 'alan stivell' album

  • good job

  • has anyone heard Tegernakô from Eluveitie? they took the Morissons jig in this song about the end.

  • Wow.....i love this jig, is one of my favorites ones. MAgic comes when hear it..its divine...makes the soul fly and go away for a wile...then comes back charged of spirit....SEMPER FIDELIS !!

  • I love this jig, I wish my irish dance teacher would let us dance to this.

  • truley an awsome tune ! ! !

    any1 think de same ?

if i had a bc accordion instead of the 1 i got now ad hav it on this

  • It can represent the earth(ground), the fire, and the water

  • It's the symbol of a French province, Breton or Bretagne or whatever you call it. (or maybe Normandy, I always get confused about who's who)

  • Sure it is not a tune from Bretagne. Why not from Galicia ? But the title make me think it might be irish and anyway it is celtic and after all it might come from eastern europe, and maybe farther !!!

  • I just listened "Morrison's by Plankty and it's totally different ??

  • its an triskel and its an ancient symbol standing for birth, life and death

  • Me too..... I think I will never figure out what is what with those...

  • It's not. It's on the Breton flag, but it's a symbol of the three parts of life, of the three elements, of the three classes of society, or anything that comes in threes :). Personally, I use it to represent my pantheistic beliefs.

  • Its a Celtic Triskel..

    also know as a Triskelion.

and its a Celtic symbol. it stands for:

    Annwn

    Abred

    Gwynvyd.

  • enhora buena desde el calvario

  • I love this music! I live for it!

  • Is this Irish or Scottish?

  • totally Irish... why ask??? because of the end titles of the water horse?

  • Well I was curious because I figured it was Irish since I haven't really come across Scottish music like this.

  • This is not Irish nor Scottish, this is Galician music

  • It may be played by Galician musicians but this is an ancient Irish tune that goes by th ename of Morrisson's Jig

  • ok, but Galician bagpipes sound a little different than Irish and Scottish ones

  • Funny how Morrison is a Scottish name huh?

  • @Judokkaa Jim Morrison (3 May 1893 - 1947), known as "The Professor", was a notable South Sligo-style Irish fiddler. He learned the tune from Tom Carmondy, a friend of his while he was in NY. The tune is also known as; Cry Of The Celtic, Jim Morrison's, Maurice Carmondy's Favorite, Morrison's, Morrison's Aaron, The Stick Across The Hob, Tom Carmondy's Favorite.

  • Morrison is originally a Scottish name though. This was my point.

  • @Judokkaa, I don't give a rat's ass for your opinion, boy. I'm commenting here for YOU to pay attention to ME, got it? Brainless sod. Why is it that us Irish constantly have to educate you common plebes? Probably because you're a shitty Godless people, who eat Haggis & drink bad whisky.

  • listen, im not having a go at the Scots, Im Welsh for gods sake!

BUT the scots as a people do originate from what now is Ireland, Scots gaelic originates from Ireland and many scottish customs do too. this is not to say that both have not had their outside influeneces since (e.g) Norwegian in Scotland compared to Danish in Ireland.

if it makes you feel better you could say that modern Irish and Scots come from the same peoples who inhabited what is now Ireland

  • Actually Gaelic originated from Proto-Celtic which is a culture that was all across Europe, this is where the similarities come from. Scotts Gaelic and Irish Gaelic originate not from eachother, but from the Proto-Celtic languages. I didn't mean to sound rude in my previous comment, I'm in a bad mood from something else. Also Scotlland was inhabited some 5000 years before Ireland, this was recently discovered. I think it is 3000 years earlier then previously thought.

  • @Judokkaa You will have received an obscene and abusive comment from a username JERI0K (with a zero) - Please note that this is a case of identity theft (impersonation) my account username is JERIOK (with an "O") - sorry for any inconvenience or upset that this may have caused you. I am having Youtube investigate this.

  • You're talking about the Scoti, a tribe which expanded and settled in the area now known as Scotland, right? They indeed came from the north of "Ireland" (of course it wasn't called Ireland yet), and they settled in "Scotland". At first, they lived as a separate tribe next to the Picts, the original population of "Scotland", but eventually the Scoti defeated the Picts and merged the two tribes. I don't know why you got lots of thumbs down, I didn't follow your quarrel.

  • Yeah I was talking about the Scoti, Kenneth McAlpine and the strong links between Scotland and Ireland and all that Jazz. Obviously several annonymous listeners find this somewhat objectionable.

  • Irish

  • the triskel is actually a sun symbol just like the hindu swastika, the St Brigid's cross and loads of others. They are all representations fo the sun. Lugh.....Llew....Grainne.

  • so is it a type of swastika?

  • it is a symbol of the sun just like the Hindu swastika, nothing to do with the nazi party. It is an ancient symbol.

  • Oh yeah, I know it has nothing to do with the Nazi party. In fact, I have a Jainism Swastika on the background of my desktop. I like other religious symbols. =)

  • its not a symbol for the sun... this symbol's name is TRISKELION or TRISKELE (from a greek word that means three legs). it's a celtic symbol that represents the triads in movement that we have in life like: birth, life and death, or body, mind and spirit

  • @lucgs1 It could be that too, but the iberio-celts in central spain worshiped it as a cult to the sun

  • @lucgs1 it can also be found on the entrance stone at newgrange in ireland. that's what makes it special for me, that you can see artwork from literally thousands of years ago!!

  • who can tell me the url of this sound track???? pleasesese!

  • ok i will ..... thanks :D

  • Can someone help me explaining what this symbol means :D ...... thanks

  • try searching for "triskelle" of "triskelion" on google. I'm sure that will answer your question

  • Triskele.. celtic symbool that says: To the sun, To afterlife and Reincarnation.

  • Triqueta, triskele, triskelion is a symbol of the triple goddess, has it´s roots in druidic religion.

  • It's also a symbol of three worlds. Our world, world of Gods and the world Between

  • what is the World Between?

  • It's the world of fairies, elves etc. The World Between is 'the bridge' where human world connect with the world of Gods.

  • this jig is irish

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks.... the reason I asked was that this was in the end titles of the water horse. a recent loch ness monster movie,,,,, which revolves around scotland.... I think>>>

  • is this jig Irish or Scottish?

  • Menos politica y mas folk hermanos :D

  • am sure that this is music is from eire. but dont understand the replies to the comments maybe i drank to much guinness or is it garlic replies

  • I like the tin whistle version better

  • makes me wanna fight

Amo Galicia. Gracias madre por ser Gallega. Dios bendiga a Galicia , THIS IS THE SHIT- ENSWORTH

  • estamos dentro do estado espanhol, pero nom queremos selo.galiza is not spain.freedom for galiza

  • cgabrielic, ¡no tienes precio!
