I like Adam Lambert's vocals, but I LOVE this version of the song. Ever since I first heard the Adam Lambert version, I always felt the bridge of the song was out of place and out of character. It sounds SO much better without the bridge.
I went to as many adam lambert versions of this song as i could (there are FAR too many being uploaded...) and left messages in order to give credit to Alain and Natasha. Feel free to join me in the effort, my musical friends :-)
- Im sorry to hear about your mother's passing, btw. I'll keep you in my thoughts :-(
What an amazingly beautiful song... made me weep the first time I heard it. Thank the stars for Alain, Natasha and the love they had for each other...
I first heard this song when Adam sang it for the movie 2012...chilling...then I research the writers and read the meaning behind it...I know they hyped it up for the movie...but the kid just came from AI and he was just excited to be singing a song for a movie...anyway I like both versions and when I hear it I think about the real meaning..great song writing.....
Yeah when I saw the movie 2012 they played the Adam Lambert version and I actually liked it. It was a little over produced but it didn't sound like Lambert wrote it. Adam has more of a flamboyant pop sound that I'm not really into however the song sounded like an old school classy love song. So I had to find out who wrote it and to my surprise it was written by Alain and Natasha whom I'm both really into.
Natasha Schneider, musician extraordinaire, former actress, singer of the ground-breaking band Eleven, and one-time Queens Of The Stone Age keyboard player, it saddens me we are no longer graced with her presence Send your loving thoughts her way in the universe. I miss you
I got flagged as spam for pointing out on the Adam Lambert version that this song was written by two incredibly talented and soulful people. What a shame, i wish more of the world would know the heartache that informed a beautiful song.
@Lassieoverthere That's sad man, they did this song , thanks god Alain got the rights for autorship. I dont like the people give credits to a singer who only performed this song (about Lambert)
@Lassieoverthere ....Everyone copy and paste the text of Lassieoverthere at the Lambert version of the song. I sent mine and it's under review but if enough of us do this I think they will eventually give credit to Alain and Natasha. The Lambart people are paying to promote that version of the song here, so they are just using Alain and the late Natasha if proper credit is not given. It is the right thing for them to do.
I completely understand you! Adam Lambert doesn't even deserve to sing a song written by these great talents... If we consider alain and natasha as "musicians", adam is just a miserable freak...I'm sorry but I think this way...
@Lassieoverthere I prefer so much this version. Adam lambert sounds like a wounded lamb...kinda cries and shouts too much. It's a shame that they put their hands onto the song and...transform it that way...
@apologeticsman the problem was ,he composed and written this song with Natasha, but this song was shared with me through Alain; I think is not for sale.
Yet another great vid from you. thanks for sharing this. I prefer this over adam lambert's version. that version is overdramatised, like the movie. even the bridge sounds forced just for the sake of having a higher crescendo - might also have been stolen from kashmir.
anyway, smartass comments aside ;P....
i'm sorry to hear about your mother. i'm sure your mother is proud and happy to have a son like you.

I'm sorry but I disagree! The original version is cool but the new one with Adam Lambert is touching and much better!

Great song, where can I get an mp3 version of this? The Adam Lambert version is awful, I really want to find an mp3 of this version.
