On 2:12 those are not glasses he is wearing, these are light Motorcycle goggles.

same on 5:37, mrsgutundtight is wrong.

  • ArturAxmann, That is the first German soldier I see wearing eye glasses, as on 2:12. did mostly of them had a good eyesight?

  • @mrsgutundtight I believe it would be the same as today, eyeglasses not common but not unknown. At that time there was also no contactlenses.

  • @ArturAxmann As I can see you answer promptly to pretty girls, thank you.

  • bike at 0:12 looks English, a Matchless or BSA

German army commandeered every motorcycle they could find; making pre-War motorcycles in Europe very rare

  • zundapp,you can buy now,still?

  • The firm has been gone for many years, but old machines are often for sale.

  • Did you know that the Wehrmacht used alot of British Triumphs that they captured @ Dunkirk!!!

  • That bike on 0:12 must be an English bike. I also know that the german used the motorcycles of "the enemy". Gladly enough the Brittish were far away from that idea......

  • What kind of bike on 0:12????

  • I am unable to determine. I am only good to determine BMW vs Zündapp. Perhaps DKW?
