Well my Dad got morphine even though the Dr KNEW it would kill him and a sign was put above his bed not to. I was gone a few hours after being there 24 hours a day for five days. What did they give him? Morphine, the only time that I was gone, just hours before he was to go home. He lived 8 more months because I got to the hospital in time, but not a quality life. Don't ever leave a loved one in the hospital alone, ever. At any age. There really is a conspiracy! My poor sweet Dad...

I have fought the system failure too. My son was 15 when we moved and school was becoming an issue. I would go to work..he would not go to school. Burning patchouli in my house caused me to have to have a UA. (clean). He was placed in custody when he got in trouble. He was to go to his fathers if he could not handle my home..per my request. It was stalled. He aced his GED at 16. Got his permit. This case was stalled 18 months. Why did I need permission from DCF for my son to go to dad?
My daughter was taken because I chose to personally monitor her education and refused to have her pumped up with drugs or other "medical" poisons and fed her a natural diet and did not have television in our home for her to constantly be brainwashed by.

i took on my niece and nephew when my sister was deemed unfit to care for them i cared for them for 13 months b4 dcs ripped them out of my arms and sent them to strangers my neice had just turned 1 3 weeks b4 they did this, she screamed as she was taken from my arms i am trying to fight back but have failed 3 times to try and get legal support, no one will take my case on,i just keep getting the run around, i basically dont have the funds to fight on my own so i have to let them win

My step son from a prior marriage has been a crown ward for years and my other son now 28 and I am outraged since so many people that love him and are kind to him were left out. We don't like what we heard about how he has lived. He knows he has a lawyer but does not know the name or function or how to ask for help.

They brainwash those foster care children. It's so sick, they teach them they are being abused, the children don't feel that way, they often tell the social worker or psychiatrist anything they want to hear. It's easy to get a child to spoil themselves and complain on a scratch as they feel the low misery that's really on the soul of the wicked caseworker that thinks they are helping. The truth, the children are taught to spoil themselves, taught to feel abused, and then there's the tax credit.
I would like to make a statement on this so called Child and Family Services if you have been through there system and been abused when in there care they don't do any thing about it. When you get older and have children of ur own Child and Family Services is there like fleas on a dog to take ur kids away. The mothers and fathers who are willing to make a change for the better don't get that chance. The parents who beat there kids always gets them back! How is that justice.
the system isnt perfect, your children are old enough to elert to any abuse, those children who can't whom fall through the cracks are the sad ones. I don't know what state your in but they give parents all the slack in the world, help available to earn the trust back. Drug free, healthy home, means of support. thats all it takes, oh and parenting classes. they don't want your children, the system is burdoned already. All you need is a kid that's not your own, and someone to complain on the natural parent. That 10K per year is for ONE child, Then they also get food stamps and allowed to have a man that makes millions. Welfare is allowed no such luxuries and they treat you like you need to go to work as a mother of an infant just born. No one can watch their own children anymore that's below a certain budget and if you have a man that won't or can't pay I guarantee you his family wants the child and not the mother in most cases. Abuse often results from lack of money and control issues start up.
@ouivalerie They don't always get food stamps. Food stamps is an income based program. In all likely hood if they are working and getting a foster care subsidy, they will not qualify.
i had an accident and broke my neck, but no one twists your arm, its a sickness, theres help before it gets that bad, im not here to pass judgement, I believe everything happens for a reason, be grateful there are folks who were willing to give your children what you couldnt. you must have orders on what to do to get them back. I think everyone has there own opinion and are bias depending on what side they are on. I dont think CPS is out to get anyone parents need to step and stop putting the blame on other people. I think it is great that there are people who will take care of children when their parents can't or refuse to care for them. I think it is terrible that people put such a bad stigma on foster care if we did not have the issues that lead children to be removed from the home we would not need foster care.
For the past 3 years my parents have been foster parents, and yes we have seen all the junk and abuse that these children go through. My brother is going to be adopted and is never going to be sexually assaulted or abused again, but no one can deny the attachment that he has with his birth family no matter what happened or what his family did we understand the importance of OPEN adoption with his birth parents while remaining safe in my parents home.
For those who say 'there is more to this story' well yes, I had an accident in 2003 and I was prescribed oxycontin and got hooked! OK? these doctors pumped me up with morphine too, and when someone has an addictive personality like myself I got hooked!! Sorry, I never did any drugs before the accident. I was arrogant and put my parental duties behind me.... But I got SMART & CLEAN! Sorry, but that is the story... If anyone has an accident, PRAY they don't PUMP YOU WITH ADDICTIVE DRUGS....

@bshattucknh I have take oxycontin as well as many other addictive drugs. I am also graduating medical school in March of this year. If you have ever had addictions to medications they usually do not prescribe addictive drugs. I sobered up when I had my oldest son who is now 9. If you knew you were getting addicted you should've looked for help. No addiction could ever risk me losing my children, they mean to much. Either way, I understand people make mistakes.

My mom told the nurse she does NOT want morphine because she is not in any pain at all. The nurse told her morphine would not hurt her. He gave her morphine even though she told the nurse she didn't want morphine because she was not in any pain. So the incompetent nurse ignored my mom's request. My mom got so sick, she vomited...
I have no words of comfort for you. I lost my daughter in 2004. Four years later, it was permanent. I have wondered how these people get away with breaking constitutional law. Truth is now we don't go by that. It is case law and we move farther away from what this country was built on. CPS is evil. Some of the people in it aren't but they are brainwashed and trained, without realizing it sometimes. I hope you get your kids back. I sure miss mine & sometimes wonder how I survive.
Hey meri, if youre kids were taken from you it's because youve messed up quite a bit, and it's a good thing. It takes a lot for a parent to lose custody permanently. My mom was a huge f up, and it took 8 years before she lost all rights, and thank God!
Foster homes and CAS have a multi billion dollar business, they suck governement and tax payers money. 1500 children have died last year in Ontario in Foster homes, one seven years old boy have committed suicide because he was been abused constantly and beaten by his friends at his foster home!They over medicate children

The main problem is that the kids arent removed quick enough. The evil abuse as already took a hold and quite often it the foster carers that become abused by these kids.
Kids can always learn how to live without things. Once you remove a child you open a world of hurt. There is something wrong with you. You should have your company get you into therapy soon Gwib. 70% of the prison population were foster kids. Read city of one. Removing children isn't going to revive you or remove your hurt. Get therapy before you ruin more lives.

CPS DOES take kids from good families. There are so many reasons why they do this. Number one being that this is a business for them. They make money off of those kids.. the more kids in foster care the more money they get. ON top of that, the system is set up that workers can use it to get revenge, and most of them are on a power trip. There are even workers that get kids removed so that they can adopt them themselves or another family can adopt them. Just open your eyes and look around
I am so glad to see you are all together. I am a foster parent and have adopted six children (parent voluntary TPR). I have successfully been a part of 12 chidlren being reunited with their birth families and still hear from them. That is why I started...to help families stay together. I love hearing success stories..I had to sub you ...looking forward to seeing updated videos of success!
@Torpssister - see that is wonderful, My husband and I cannot have kids of our own and we have been seriously thinking about being foster parents, and possibly one day if possibe adopting a little one. But we are very interested in hekping them reunite with their families as well. I am just so excited about this, I know we have a lot of love to give and we have great hearts we just want to share our joy with children who need it.
CPS is lying when they say they want to reunite parents. The torture parents with visits (an hour or two a week, cancelled at Christmas or birthdays, just to be even more sadistic), then they adopt the children out. If you are a good foster parent or adoptive person, they find a way to frame you when you try to speak the truth. Don't get involved with Satan; find another way to help children. CPS will not tolerate good people.
Hey. My kids were taken away from me, a single mom and full time student (age 25) two months ago when I ran out of my house to try and prevent the father of my kids from stealing my car! I was arrested and my kids were placed in foster care for child neglect! I'm a pre law student, and took care of two babies (age 3 and 1) ON MY OWN! I can't believe this at all! It's like the worst nightmare ever... i can't stop crying.

What's more, our system-the government, doesn't function morally. They are about the bottom line-the "almight dollar" and yes, they DO take away children from good homes and leave children in abusive homes ALL the time.
In fact I do know what I am talking about to some degree. I work for the New Zealand equivalent of the US CPS which is CYF (Children, Youth and Families). I know for a fact that we do not remove children from their homes unless clear evidence of abuse is apparent. We are busy enough as it is and need not waste our time removing children from perfectly safe functional families. But when i tried to say something no one would listen. and then when i went and lived with my dad and he sexually abused me they came and took me away. dhs is a really messed up organization as is our government. Kids get taken into care for 'socio-economic' 'reasons' and cos the parents have problems or just don't 'fit into' the percieved mainstream ideal, I would say most kids who are being battered and abused are still with their abusers, not in care. Crap how most people still side with CPS in the mistaken idea that they are actually doing any good, they are judgers, who gives them that right? Hey man, It sucks, Im sure. I was taken away from my Mom and it sucked. I think that as long as your kids know you LOVE them, they will come right back to you. The only reason I dont talk to my Dad a lot, is because he wont open up to me. My Mom committed suicide when I was 18. She had schizophrenia and my older sister found her. My foster care experience was extremely bad but, I go to college, I work, Im engaged, and I am doing the best I can to make myself in to a better person from it.

time but i got told i that bad things would happen to me if i told my social worker i have also got a disablitiy so tha makes it harder for me i once told my social worker what had beemn going on with my foaster dad and they did not believe what i was saying and just left it at that i am really glad to be leaving care in 6 days i hope no one else goes through the same things that i have been through

I spend far more than I receive, and ALL of the foster children I've cared for came from seriously messed up family lives. I've seen lots of happy endings. first there is intact then family placement. and inless there are drugs or sex in involved it is return home . i am surprised anychild are ever adopted beacuse the courts give the families all the rights. parents only must have very little parenting skills and the foster family must go above and beyound. families that lose their kids need to own up to what they do.

@Beautifullystrong They say I don't have enough income. Yet I raised them on a small income up until they took them from me. Once they get them, they expect you to do everything without any assistance at all, reguardless if you were on food stamps when they were taken. In this economy, I just couldn't find another job that paid better. They in turn held it against me.........

I am sorry that so many people failed you. I have two teenagers and I have taken several of their friends in because their parents put them out into the street. I am now looking into being a foster parent and looking forward to being able to give children the love, attention, respect, and hope that they should know and should have always received. Some parents make mistakes, who are we to judge? I do want to be the one to help child pick up the pieces and know that to hey are worthy of love.
Then they used the excuse that the two little ones had been with the foster parents for too long - even tho we had been getting visits with them.If not for their excuses, and putting us off over and over, that much time would not have passed..
So let me get this right, DCF spends a hundred thousand dollars removing children from their homes to make money? You realize children are only removed in the most dire circumstances. It takes an average of 4-7 51a's before a child is removed from a home. And then years before any judge terminates parental rights after parents do not change the behaviors that got the kids removed.
The truth is: DHS/CPS receives thousands of dollars for the children they remove from homes..and for children that they adopt out..And even tho they claim to do their best to keep families together, and place children with relatives..this often doesn't happen..I adopted two of my grandsons years ago, and fought to get their brother and sister also placed with me..as did my oldest daughter..they even spent time doing a home study on her home, which she passed.....

Well my Dad got morphine even though the Dr KNEW it would kill him and a sign was put above his bed not to. I was gone a few hours after being there 24 hours a day for five days. What did they give him? Morphine, the only time that I was gone, just hours before he was to go home. He lived 8 more months because I got to the hospital in time, but not a quality life. Don't ever leave a loved one in the hospital alone, ever. At any age. There really is a conspiracy! My poor sweet Dad...

I have fought the system failure too. My son was 15 when we moved and school was becoming an issue. I would go to work..he would not go to school. Burning patchouli in my house caused me to have to have a UA. (clean). He was placed in custody when he got in trouble. He was to go to his fathers if he could not handle my home..per my request. It was stalled. He aced his GED at 16. Got his permit. This case was stalled 18 months. Why did I need permission from DCF for my son to go to dad?

i took on my niece and nephew when my sister was deemed unfit to care for them i cared for them for 13 months b4 dcs ripped them out of my arms and sent them to strangers my neice had just turned 1 3 weeks b4 they did this, she screamed as she was taken from my arms i am trying to fight back but have failed 3 times to try and get legal support, no one will take my case on,i just keep getting the run around, i basically dont have the funds to fight on my own so i have to let them win

They brainwash those foster care children. It's so sick, they teach them they are being abused, the children don't feel that way, they often tell the social worker or psychiatrist anything they want to hear. It's easy to get a child to spoil themselves and complain on a scratch as they feel the low misery that's really on the soul of the wicked caseworker that thinks they are helping. The truth, the children are taught to spoil themselves, taught to feel abused, and then there's the tax credit.

I would like to make a statement on this so called Child and Family Services if you have been through there system and been abused when in there care they don't do any thing about it. When you get older and have children of ur own Child and Family Services is there like fleas on a dog to take ur kids away. the system isnt perfect, your children are old enough to elert to any abuse, those children who can't whom fall through the cracks are the sad ones. I don't know what state your in but they give parents all the slack in the world, help available to earn the trust back. Drug free, healthy home, means of support. thats all it takes, oh and parenting classes. they don't want your children, the system is burdoned already. But when you cant do it, at least these precious children get their needs met

It's almost never true. The mother's have been undermined by women who collect sizable paychecks while ignorance prevails. The size of the check can be over $10,000 per year EASY. All you need is a kid that's not your own, and someone to complain on the natural parent. That 10K per year is for ONE child, Then they also get food stamps and allowed to have a man that makes millions. Welfare is allowed no such luxuries and they treat you like you need to go to work as a mother of an infant just born. No one can watch their own children anymore that's below a certain budget and if you have a man that won't or can't pay I guarantee you his family wants the child and not the mother in most cases. Abuse often results from lack of money and control issues start up.

I think everyone has there own opinion and are bias depending on what side they are on. I dont think CPS is out to get anyone parents need to step and stop putting the blame on other people. I think it is great that there are people who will take care of children when their parents can't or refuse to care for them. I think it is terrible that people put such a bad stigma on foster care if we did not have the issues that lead children to be removed from the home we would not need foster care.

For the past 3 years my parents have been foster parents, and yes we have seen all the junk and abuse that these children go through. My brother is going to be adopted and is never going to be sexually assaulted or abused again, but no one can deny the attachment that he has with his birth family no matter what happened or what his family did we understand the importance of OPEN adoption with his birth parents while remaining safe in my parents home.

For those who say 'there is more to this story' well yes, I had an accident in 2003 and I was prescribed oxycontin and got hooked! OK? these doctors pumped me up with morphine too, and when someone has an addictive personality like myself I got hooked!! Sorry, I never did any drugs before the accident. I was arrogant and put my parental duties behind me.... But I got SMART & CLEAN! Sorry, but that is the story... If anyone has an accident, PRAY they don't PUMP YOU WITH ADDICTIVE DRUGS....

@bshattucknh I have take oxycontin as well as many other addictive drugs. I am also graduating medical school in March of this year. If you have ever had addictions to medications they usually do not prescribe addictive drugs. I sobered up when I had my oldest son who is now 9. If you knew you were getting addicted you should've looked for help. No addiction could ever risk me losing my children, they mean to much. Either way, I understand people make mistakes.

My mom told the nurse she does NOT want morphine because she is not in any pain at all. The nurse told her morphine would not hurt her. He gave her morphine even though she told the nurse she didn't want morphine because she was not in any pain. So the incompetent nurse ignored my mom's request. My mom got so sick, she vomited...

I have no words of comfort for you. I lost my daughter in 2004. Four years later, it was permanent. I have wondered how these people get away with breaking constitutional law. Truth is now we don't go by that. It is case law and we move farther away from what this country was built on. CPS is evil. CPS DOES take kids from good families. There are so many reasons why they do this. Number one being that this is a business for them. They make money off of those kids.. the more kids in foster care the more money they get. ON top of that, the system is set up that workers can use it to get revenge, and most of them are on a power trip. There are even workers that get kids removed so that they can adopt them themselves or another family can adopt them. Just open your eyes and look around

I am so glad to see you are all together. I am a foster parent and have adopted six children (parent voluntary TPR). I have successfully been a part of 12 chidlren being reunited with their birth families and still hear from them. That is why I started...to help families stay together. CPS is lying when they say they want to reunite parents. The torture parents with visits (an hour or two a week, cancelled at Christmas or birthdays, just to be even more sadistic), then they adopt the children out. If you are a good foster parent or adoptive person, they find a way to frame you when you try to speak the truth. Don't get involved with Satan; find another way to help children. CPS will not tolerate good people.

Hey. My kids were taken away from me, a single mom and full time student (age 25) two months ago when I ran out of my house to try and prevent the father of my kids from stealing my car! I was arrested and my kids were placed in foster care for child neglect! I'm a pre law student, and took care of two babies (age 3 and 1) ON MY OWN! I can't believe this at all! It's like the worst nightmare ever... i can't stop crying.

What's more, our system-the government, doesn't function morally. They are about the bottom line-the "almight dollar" and yes, they DO take away children from good homes and leave children in abusive homes ALL the time.

In fact I do know what I am talking about to some degree. I work for the New Zealand equivalent of the US CPS which is CYF (Children, Youth and Families). I know for a fact that we do not remove children from their homes unless clear evidence of abuse is apparent. We are busy enough as it is and need not waste our time removing children from perfectly safe functional families. I don't see how it would be any different in the US or in any other developed nation for that matter. --continued--

My kids haven't been taken away but there was a time my daughter ran off in a mall. I got so scared that when i found her i said to her don't firmly don't do that to mommy ever ever again
a lady called mall security on me and demanded they call social services to have her taken away. didn't ever raise a hand nothing.. i was torn and scared that day

I'm 17 and have been in foster care since i was 11. Growing up i was abused by my grandmother. Burned and stabed. But when i tried to say something no one would listen. and then when i went and lived with my dad and he sexually abused me they came and took me away. dhs is a really messed up organization as is our government. My ex and the family courts in NY state have legally kidnapped my two daughters. Im near death now after 3 years of being beaten up by, family court, c.p.s. , social workers, and a few friends of hers. I do hope they all meet terrible fates!!

Man, I realy feel for you. I lost my 3 kids too. Amanda, johnathon and Kirsten in July of 2006. I have not talked to or seen them since. Oh God, I cried watching your movie.. My child have never been taken. But knowing the Family law's and Custody fights that i had to go through i would not be surprised if anything happens.
All i can say is that taking it from my side is that I SWEAR to GOD no person can take my child away from my house and place it somewhere else if I am alive.
By saying that means if i have to die fighting i will.
But maybe cuz i am from a country that we don't have CSA or fucking foster care.
We have one care, and that is HOME CARE.

Kids get taken into care for 'socio-economic' 'reasons' and cos the parents have problems or just don't 'fit into' the percieved mainstream ideal, I would say most kids who are being battered and abused are still with their abusers, not in care. Crap how most people still side with CPS in the mistaken idea that they are actually doing any good, they are judgers, who gives them that right? I've been thru care system since very young so I know just what they are like. Henious.

Hey man, It sucks, Im sure. I was taken away from my Mom and it sucked. I think that as long as your kids know you LOVE them, they will come right back to you. The only reason I dont talk to my Dad a lot, is because he wont open up to me. My Mom committed suicide when I was 18. She had schizophrenia and my older sister found her. My foster care experience was extremely bad but, I go to college, I work, Im engaged, and I am doing the best I can to make myself in to a better person from it.

time but i got told i that bad things would happen to me if i told my social worker i have also got a disablitiy so tha makes it harder for me i once told my social worker what had beemn going on with my foaster dad and they did not believe what i was saying and just left it at that i am really glad to be leaving care in 6 days i hope no one else goes through the same things that i have been through

I am SO sorry that you had to live in a foster home that didn't love or treat you the way you should have been. You were failed by the people who were suppose to love you, the ones who were suppose to care for you, and the system appointed to protect you. I have spent my life taking care of everyone around me. Keep in mind everybody that children are not removed for no reason. Foster parents don't do this for the money. I spend far more than I receive, and ALL of the foster children I've cared for came from seriously messed up family lives. I've seen lots of happy endings. it funny when people go around saying thing about fostercare and they dont know what really go on behind close door.most of this foster parents do it just for the money and you know what the 13years of me being in fostercare i cryed every night because i was treated like shit do you think that a case work really cares about the kids they place keep thinking i pray and cry for those kid in the system.i thank god im older now but i will always remember.

first there is intact then family placement. and inless there are drugs or sex in involved it is return home . i am surprised anychild are ever adopted beacuse the courts give the families all the rights. parents only must have very little parenting skills and the foster family must go above and beyound. families that lose their kids need to own up to what they do.

Once they get them, they expect you to do everything without any assistance at all, reguardless if you were on food stamps when they were taken. In this economy, I just couldn't find another job that paid better. They in turn held it against me.........

I am sorry that so many people failed you. I have two teenagers and I have taken several of their friends in because their parents put them out into the street. I am now looking into being a foster parent and looking forward to being able to give children the love, attention, respect, and hope that they should know and should have always received. Some parents make mistakes, who are we to judge? I do want to be the one to help child pick up the pieces and know that to hey are worthy of love.

So let me get this right, DCF spends a hundred thousand dollars removing children from their homes to make money? You realize children are only removed in the most dire circumstances. It takes an average of 4-7 51a's before a child is removed from a home. And then years before any judge terminates parental rights after parents do not change the behaviors that got the kids removed.

The truth is: DHS/CPS receives thousands of dollars for the children they remove from homes..and for children that they adopt out..And even tho they claim to do their best to keep families together, and place children with relatives..this often doesn't happen..I adopted two of my grandsons years ago, and fought to get their brother and sister also placed with me..as did my oldest daughter..they even spent time doing a home study on her home, which she passed.....
