This is the last classic Xmas Top of the Pops, the one where Band Aid were at No. 1 and the whole group stood together on Xmas day and sang "Do They Know Its Christmas?". The following year, pop was taken over by crap such as Whitney Houston, The Pet Shop Boys, and A-ha. All the good groups started to fade out in '85. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
the frog chorious always get's slaged off for some reason don't why I think its such good tune the Beatles did unusal stuff on Magical Mystery tour george Paul, John & Ringo all deserve credit
why dont the BBC show TOTP2 anymore they used to show it on a wednesday evening on BBC2 at 6.00 I think . with all the hours of video the have they could make loads & loads of shows
No EinsFestival are showing full complete editions of TOTP from the 70's now on late at 10.55pm every wednesday. they have not shown any 80's episode.
But Eins Festival is not a Sky channel, because its a German digital channel as part of ARD.
if you have a digital satellite system and you are living in the UK, you've got to to either turn your dish to the position of astra satellite at 19,2° east or you have to install a second LNB at this position and you'll need a DiSEqC switch to change between the two LNB's between your usual position at 28,2° east and the one for continental Europe at 19,2° east.
@Glamking1 Although many on here love TOTP it is not worth going to the unnessary expense of getting a second satelite dish or fiddling around with an existing dish just to pick up some editions of TOTP? What is needed is to get the old editions screen here again on UK TV a channel such as BBC4 (so that annoying commercial breaks do not ruin the show).
But i dont have that edition and indeedly Christmas 1984 part 1 had no hosts and in which all of the pop stars got to introduce their biggest songs of 1984 except George Michael and Bono didn't come !!
i loved the paul mccartney song when i was 2! lol
