It's the fact that she disagreed, that's fine. I don't think any 2 politicians share the same exact policy or views. Its the fact that she was to much of a coward to stand by those words, and she sat there with K. Couric and let McCain speak for her and put words in her mouth. Words that were a direct contradiction of what she had just said. That makes her look like she has a lack of policy and it also makes her look like a hypocrite. Worst yet, it shows the lack of cohesion McCain/Palin have.

Obama/Biden has a lack of cohesion as well. In the primaries Biden disagreed with Obama on numerous issues. When you are put on a short leash, you can only roam so far.

You make a great point, however I think anytime you put 2 politicians together they will differ on some matters. McCain and Palin differ on alot of policies (depending on the day, most of the time McCain will go back an say it was "gotcha" journalism) but they call that being "two Mavericks". I do agree with your comment about the short leash, but I have to say, when you are put on on a leash and also gagged, you have a little less room to roam ;)

Well this is a loaded question, IMO. Palin went in with probably the lowest expectations ever for a VP candidate. I honestly have to say she exceeded my expectations, mainly because she didn't froze up, give that deer in the headlights look or just give one of those stupid answers she's known for. With that being said, I think she stuck to her talking points and on numerous occassions didn't answer the question, and even admit she wasn't going to answer the questions.

Which to me shows she didn't have the answers for them. While I no longer think Palin is a complete idiot, I do think that she is unqualified to hold the Veep or possibally Presidential position. This isn't about how long she's been in politics, its just the impression I get from watching her in action of this past month plus+.

I agree with the low expectations point but she is personable. She doesn't speak in a condescending tone unlike most politicians. The qualification issue can be argued from both sides. At least she is #2 not #1 on the ticket and forher not answering certain questions that is common of candidates. They pick and choose what they will answer. Biden failed to answer a couple himself.

Yeah Biden did fail to answer some question, but he didn't flat out refuse to answer like Palin. Palin is very personable and likable, but I don't feel she is ready to wrangle the responsiblity in front of her just yet. Biden everyone knows has a world of expirience, and Obama, IMO has shown that he has the ability to step in and be President. I believe McCain also does, but w/ his health history, its possible that we could end up with Palin taking over. I'm not comfortable with that situation.

If these candidates have no qualms about asking for American votes, then they shouldn't have any qualms about answering American voter's questions.
