Congrats on the move, a new city is always exciting and Brooklyn has tons to offer. I sense earplugs in your future though, or at least a bigger fan to leave on all the time for a steady background sound to help you sleep (I use one for the same reason.)

@seurat2 I think the subway is a bit too loud for a fan to cover. But I'm doing alright so far. Little by little it won't be an issue. :)

I live across the street from a hospital here. And it's in downtown Seattle. And it's a residence hall. But I'm really liking all of the noise.

@owlssayhooot Oh...yeah...That is a bit noisy. Res halls do tend to be a bit crazy! haha But it's a good kinda nuts. One you can only find in college! :)

Yay new apartments! I saw the pics on flickr - very cute! I'm glad you got all settled in. And I'm excited to see more "Caitlin's Discovering Brooklyn" vlogs in the future. :) That sucks about the noise though....maybe invest in some earplugs?

Also, lookout for the tornadoes, I hear they're insane.

@bekabee24 Thanks! :) I'd be too nervous to wear earplugs while I sleep. I like being able to hear if someone is around me or if I need to wake up for whatever. I have some, I guess if it's ever bad enough. But I'm getting a good 8 hours lately...just not totally quality yet. :)

@dragade101 I'm thinking of getting some foam for the windows when I need to record Audio. Vlogging is alright. I can just stop and then keep going...but audio is the tricky part.

I have the same problem that you have with the train but with planes. The good news is that you'll get used to it to the point that most of the time you won't notice the noise anymore. The bad news is that this will ruin a lot of your videos because you won't notice the noise when you are recording, but will when you are editing the footage...

@ErikaPSJ haha yeah I'm worried about the whole recording thing. Vlogging I can just stop and start over after it goes, but the whole music recording thing is gonna be tough. And also the Podcast. Hopefully if I just shut my windows I'll be alright.

YAY for trains, When I moved out I lived above a bar that was open every night till 2am. Not so bad when you work nights, but the days off where a killer. you'll get used to the noise took me about a week. I hope you settle in well and your room mates are lovely.

@yip6 haha yeah I'll bet! I'm sure about this time next week we'll be all good. I'm already sleeping about 8 hours without too much of an issue, but I still wake up from time to time.

My roomies are pretty cool. Though I've only really spent time with one of them. The other is always out.

I like the noises of the city. I think I'd find it hard to sleep if it was too quiet. That is a very nice brick wall btw.

@CosmicScaleFactor I'm just used to being out in the woods where there is no noise at all whatsoever. I don't mind city noises, I just have to get used to them.

Brick wall = LOVE.

My sun is afternoon/evening, so it's ideal to sleeping.

You're going to really love that the subway is so close whenever it rains/hails/snows/is cold. Especially in Brooklyn, getting to a subway stop can be a friggin trek.

I LOVE THAT JUICE. SO GOOD. If you wanna try any other new foods, hit me up - I have one friend from Greece and two from China, so lots of fun stuff around the apartment. (=

Oh yeah, I'm happy it's close now when I've had to get luggage and boxes back and forth! haha
