Hi I enjoy watching all ur vids... I have an apple tv2 running on 4.2.2 and I want to jailbreak it... But when the atv2 is on dfu mode and I try to isnatll the custom FW I get a message so I want to know if I still can jailbreak it since 4.2.2 is not the latest FW....? Please let me know if there's a way please, thank you :)
Ah! I have a problem, i'll do exactly as u do when u jailbreak, but when i should plug it in with the HDMI cable, the "seas0npass" do not show up in the menu.. have tried other jailbreaking programs, but same problem comes up. What is the problem ?? Please Answer it, its makes me crazy.

now do you get netflix for free and i don't fully understand what benefits you have when you apple tv is jailbroken? The main purpose to have this is to get movies and shows for free right? I am still confused. Can you help me understand why its better?
@djsav1 to let you know be confused i do have a video on what jailbreak will bring to you, and what you can and what you can't do, when it comes to Netflix, you can't hack, its cheap to get access from them and there is another package for free movies again there is alot of issues with servers and that still cost money its called icefilms i wont make a video about that since its ilegal but thanks for your message

@joshwrabel I am working on a fix for this matter, your not alone. something is wrong with file on official apple website, i do have the files saved on PC, i have to show you how to process this on mac and PC hopefully tonight i'll have a video for this :) stay tuned mean time if you know which folder the iPSW is just go to sn0wbreeze video and get the file from backup uploads and load the file there and then ran the Seas0npass it should work
@rcbashboyz you can install XBMC, and couch surfer to browser your internet, and watch your YouTube movies, or netflix, and also on XBMC there is alot of plugins you could use to watch TV shows and channels :) check out my videos you'll figure it out :)
@TheSuperProfessionel alright, i had simller problem, what i did is restarted my pc, hooked up the MicroUSB to another connector for USB on my PC, and it worked try that if didn't work let me know
@xctechs yap i solved the prolem before u post teh answer :) i done it like that i pluged in the atv after seas0npass has done the ipsw :=) so then it works now its jailbreaked but i have another quetion how can i install plug- ins ? thx :)
Ah yes I am on 64 bit :). Also please note I had to buy a better quality hdmi cable to get it r.running properly or my HDTV would not detect the apple tv.
@Mercury888 i like your comments :) yes there are some different version of HDMI cables, some named from sliver to Gold, or they are calling 1st gen to 4th Gen, i just like to say
1. Apple Store have good quality HDMI cable
2. Walmart 1.6 Meter cable is good Blackcolour not Grey Black = $15 and Grey = $7 to $10
3. RadioShak purchase the gold version they are around $20
a tip for people who are running sn0wpass using win 7 and it wont download the software when creating the IPSW (over the internet) - make sure to run it under win xp (service pack 3) compatibility and run the program again.

I didn't come across this problem on windows 7 or Vista so that is why i left it out, only thing comes in mind is that you may come across this if your on Windows 7 64bit then for sure you need to follow this tip :)

I have read a few forums of things to try but none of them work. I have tried holding the menu button for 7 before pressing menu & play but that doesn't work, is there anything that i'm missing. I"m in Australia, does that matter?
@pepsicolazero You can SSH nitoTV to this i do have another video for that on my channel check that out, you can SSH via MAC or Linux or also you can use PuTTy on Windows :)
As a postscript comment, I found it ironic that the Apple TV iOS update occurred basically within 48 hours of the FireCore aTV Flash update. How great and annoying at the same time. And its about time Apple finally addressed the YouTube video sorting issue. It's been a headache and a mess beforehand.
Don't know if I should simply upgrade my iOS version or go with the new Firecore update. Any suggestions?
Two things to mention, that might help you and others later:
(1) Monoprice It is a legit, online cable supplier that sells good quality items for far less than places like Best Buy or Target. It's much praised in the tech forums I go to.
(2) You should point out that the USB micro is 5-pin. Some might unknowingly order the wrong 8-pin.
I really like Apple, but they should give you a 3 foot HDMI cable with the Apple TV. Good video tutorial.
