The more I look at this video I get homesick. Where I live now we get no rain, but when we get a bit of rain the people here shit their pants. That really pisses me off
In miami when dennnis moved over cuba the strom alert theme was there as the heavy rain bands move throug the miami area with wind gust in the 60 mph range
Ok well the only thing I can think of is because we were to the west they didnt play it and played it in the Alabama and Florida Panhandle area...but I didnt hear it first until Hurricane Katrina and by then it was national..even local forecasts in other parts of the U.S. had the storm alert theme...It was like that down here with Hurricane Wilma when TWC went into storm alert the theme played on our local forecast and it was sunny outside!
Oh ok do you have a recording of when Dennis passed by or did you just remember you didn't hear it..Did you record anything from TWC during the '04 or '05 hurricane season?
That sucks!! I usually start recording about a day or two before up until it gets bad and the power is about to go out..with Ivan the tape got stuck in the vcr till the power came back on..Dennis we didn't lose power...Katrina we were out till the beginning of October!!
Let's see..Elena '85 cat. 3 got brushed by Andrew '92 when it hit La. cat. 3 Erin cat 1 and Opal cat 3 '95 Danny '97 cat 1 Georges '98 cat 2 brushed by Ivan '04 cat 3 brushed by Dennis '05 cat 3 Katrina '05 of course cat 4 and brushed by Rita '05 cat 4 when it passed to our south..and this doesn't count the numerous hits and brushes by tropical storms!
sometimes they dont cue the local on the 8's to the exact so sometimes the satalite info will show up very breifly BTW love the Old school music. The second verson of Van Halens "Layla" where they play the long end of it.

This song is Derek and The Dominoes Layla. One question. Is there an instrumental version at the middle or end?

They played the "Piano Coda". I think the official time in/time out they used was 3:08/5:08

Hurricane Dennis did not impress me a Hurricane Chaser because it wasn't that strong damage wasn't that bad

that storm theme music is kinda scary. And you heard it all during the 2005 Hurricane Season when Katrina, Rita & Wilma hit.
AndrewSa888 4 years ago
they started the storm alert theme with Hurricane Katrina so this was before the storm alert theme.
