  • al jazeera is censoring my comments

  • Germany is using caps to prevent price increase. The root of housing bubble is inflation. Inflation is the result of government around the world printing money.

Inflated money "bypassed" German housing market and went into other countries' housing and stock and raw material and oil and food market. No government can plug all the hole to prevent investment from coming and going.

  • lol @ translation! the translation is complete rubbish! wtf is the point in interviewing people if you anyways don't care what they say!

  • ..fight back against corporations...Celebrate "Don't buy anything" day.

  • there was just one vote missed and the entire US would speak german. the entire centre of Europe speaks german.... so what are you are up too instead of learning how to handle crisis markets of real estate gangsters. Lots of you ppl need more and deeper education yourself and its recomended that ppl from US and England learn other languages too. That is helping in culture, social understanding, widens your brain cells and let you do less mistakes against other folks.

  • Once again we see how badly the capitalist system of the US totally fails. Europe isn't suffering from the problems the US is suffering from because Europeans have common sense and don't want to be enslaved by their masters. While the US are chasing some illusion, called the American dream, Europe as a continent has less debt than the US as a state. Well done to the US, keep it up, one day you will bankrupt yourselves (hopefully soon) and you can say with pride "We did the impossible".

  • how can you say you're not enslaved by debt..

look at the young couple in clip...they can't even afford the deposit..the two salaries cannot support even that..

just because you're not in debt soesn't mean you're not enslaved by it..

the coouple are living in the 3rd richest country in the world and are professionals .where is the cedit going..

in india we can afford land and a house.

you're city slaves and accept it..unbeleivable

  • What's the connection between buying a house and "being enslaved" ? Buying property in Germany with credit is expensive, yes - but renting is quite affordable. Renting is in no way a bad thing, because at the end of the day you want to live somewhere and not necessarily own something.

  • during the feudal system ..no one except the barons owned lands.most peasants had to rent their labour to be able to live.if germany and other 'advanced' countries have moved on form the feudal system why r u in the same situation even when ur the 3rd richest country. its because u have rented out your labour to modern day robber barons who have obviously tricked u into thinking it is a fair system.

the banksters own the system and assets .the german people don't..

    ur comments very revealing

  • I don't even know where to start with you... Germany overcame the feudal system in many ways, especially in the East where socialism disowned virtually everyone. "tricked into thinking" - what? It doesn't matter who owns the property you live in as long as your number 1 motivation of living on said property is living on property. You see how that works? Renting is a form of risk-sharing, where you pay premium for less risk with more liberty. Is this "robber baron"-thing some new NWO conspiracy

  • stuff that I've missed? Germany can very well be the 3rd richest country in the world WITHOUT having US-sized suburbs - I don't see any connection between the wealth of a country and "renting" ... If anything people in poor countries rent LESS, because they usually have currencies which depreciate too quickly.

  • Now the America Boosters woudl say look at how tough and dificult life is in Germany they can't get a mortgage they acan't get a house, life is easy and fine in the USA you get amortage you get ahouse, you can collect trashes and drive a mercedes benz, ah ok so you go into debt but you go and you pay it off and you live the good life. Goodlife? hah, sure with lots of headache, stress and almost no vacation time what so ever.

  • Anyone who can spell their name gets a mortgage in the US ?

So how come they have a mortgage crisis ?

Was that irony or was that irony ?

  • He was referring to the availability of credit in the US. They had a mortgage crisis because people with poor financial habits and low incomes couldn't make payments. Was that irony or just completely over your head?

  • How come Germans speak such excellent English?/

  • because English is a Germanic language

  • hahahahaha so why English dont speak German? It's becasue the educational system in Germany is superior

  • Because most people here learn Spanish, not German.

  • Learn Spanish, I don't think so! Most people do not learn any language at all, a tiny minority learns spanish and when they do they don't speak it that well either. So the population who learn spanish well are very small.

  • Well if your talking about the American educational system i would agree!firstly because America is a nation WITH endless pockets which george bush(he doesn't deserve a capital hah=])seems to think so! On average americans spend 101% of there income,so have a guess what that means(DEBT)ffs* they have put the whole world into economic meltdown and caused untold pain to millions of citizens of America. This 700 billion dollar rescue plan is going to big banks not normal americans VOTE JOHN MCCAIN

  • show me an american born citizen who learned spanish and was not a latino immigrant. I bet I count them on one hand!

  • Show me a comment on YouTube without baseless bigotry. Fail.

  • I am referring to the US educational system

  • good one, a very good one.

  • English speakers don't speak any other languae becuase they are lazy and demand that everyone make thier language and customs international. Becuase they are lazy.

  • mrshutter77, lazy and too stupid to learn. ;)

  • Em i dunno......maybe:? Luxembourg,Austria,Germany,switzerland duh!

  • Yes, all very critical economic states. Too bad Switzerland didn't have another official language that is spoken across the globe like... French! I think any rational person realizes that besides the cultural charm, German doesn't have much potential as a business language. Thankfully Luxembourgians, Austrians, and Germans take English class so that we can focus on other, more useful languages.

  • French is spoken around the world by a lot of countries and cultures, think about this though where is french mostly spoke in the world ???AFRICA the poorest continent in the world for the last 300 years!!!!!.German does have the potential for a business language because it is europes biggest economy !!!

  • German is a wonderful language, but french or spanish are better so thats why in Ireland we learn French,Spanish or Italian. The german educational system is superior to the American educational system but so is bangldesh's ffs*

  • But remember when native english speakers actaully get off their lazy monolingual asses and learn a new language German is the one language they have the easiest time learning.

  • In Germany they didnt have a 'war on education' just the 'war on drugs' or the 'war on terrorism'. Seems like whatever the US government declares war the US gets more of it.

  • It's the first auxiliary language we learn here and it's mandatory from 3rd grade on.

But many un-learn it quickly afterwards because all the hollywood movies are dubbed ;)

Scandinavian and Dutch people are much better English speakers than Germans.

  • English is our primary foreign language taught in school.

  • 20%DOWN IS THE SAME HAS THE USA!

  • They are good at budgeting, they don't spend what they haven't got, they prefer to save up and then spend, they don't think that the world owes them a living they also like to have the good things, but they are cautious. Same with the Chinese people. And good luck to them.
