  • at 5:29 what does that say?

  • I think it says "Chris, I went to make $ for when I'm gone so stay well & I will be back in time to pack and move"

  • Thank you!

  • Okay, disregard my message about losing your comment. It's here after all.

  • I live in Pac Tower on Pacific...."homeless" folks abound in our part of town, panhandle our residents and leave their trash all over the place. I am positive many of these folks want to maintain their "free" lifestyle. I do NOT feel sorry for them. I do wonder about the children's clothing, what possibly happened to the kids at these camps, just terrible.

  • Great video work.

Pierce County has long been the repository for the rest of the state's problems over every variant. Elected officials such as Prosecutor Gerry Horne need to be supported to stop Pierce County from continuing to be the dumping ground for the state.

  • This video would be of much greater value if the photographer learned how to use the camera properly and not to pan. If you must pan do it very slowly otherwise all you get is a blurred pic. Let the subject move, not the camera.

  • When I saw this on the news I thought about how good I have it and how I am going to love taking a nice hot shower and sleep in my nice comfy, warm, and large bed tonight.

    =D

  • I just want to say that we need to help the homeless people. The 10-year to end homelessness in Washington and other states will be using our tax dollars to house them in jails and prison according to the plan. So why not just help them now and give them a chance to be productive community memebers. This has been an issue for the last 12 yeas that I know of and have worked in the field.

  • These people have a few more problems than just being homeless, they are perverts, junkies, ex-cons, or just plain crazy. There are plenty of facilities that help homless people get on their feet. I know this because I have volunteered for them. You can't help people that just don't want to be helped. Ther will always be that stubborn 1 percent that will refuse to clean up. I know because I've met them and they have no pity from me.

  • I saw this a couple of minitues ago when I was fliping though the channels and I saw this on Komo-Tv.

  • Thank you for making this.

  • I think the recorded tax info with last mailing adderess of the oweners of the property should be posted. It is public record and let the world know who own this property and what they "allow" to go on. It would shame me into posting signs and cleaning it up.

  • I sure as hell hope the parents of the children who catch the school bus across portland avenue in those apartments are especially careful and make plenty of noise to the county. That is disgusting.

  • Great video, when folks have given the run around, what other ways to be heard than on youtube...good way to 'motivate' those who are supposed to serve us.

  • Thank you!

This method has proven to generate much more interest than did my many attempts through addressing our elected officials via emails and public testimony. I applaud the following for their support -- the News Tribune, Tahoma Organizer, New Takhoman, the Progressive Roundtable and the Pierce County Message magazine. If it weren't for their interest, I likely would not have heard from the one councilmember who has joined in to support (Calvin Goings).

  • I think that the evidence of possible child abuse, coupled with the actual solicitation of drugs for children on the back of that truck warrants a criminal investigation. This isn't just breaking into a car somewhere. For all we know, girls who are abducted in Pierce are brought there.

  • Citizens of Pierce County and Tacoma should contact their council members to address this problem! The truck with the letter on it was first observed on September 16, in the company of Pierce County Deputies. Nothing has been done since then to clean up this area and ensure that no danger to our children exists there. Get Loud!

  • Part 1:

This issue currently is apparently only a "solid waste" issue, as those "in the know", have said that there is no law against homelessness or homeless camps.

The three parcels which these camps are on (owned by three separate parties) have not put up No Trespassing signs, therefore have not taken the next step in entering a contractual agreement with the Sheriff's Department who could act as their "agent", giving them the authority to arrest trespassers.

  • Part 2:

There isn't much law enforcement can do without the cooperation of the property owners.

If anyone is interested in trying to encourage them to be more involved in the problem they're allowing to exist, I'd be happy to provide their contact information (which is public information as it appears within the Assessor's parcel search info.).
