A 30-year minimum Antarctic snow melt record occurred during austral summer 20082009 according to spaceborne microwave observations for 19802009. Strong positive phases of both the El-Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and the Southern Hemisphere Annular Mode (SAM) were recorded during the months leading up to and including the 20082009 melt season.
Then here is the trick, the IPCC then uses virtual unproven positive loopback biased models that cant predict even past events to claim that this few tenths of 1 degree F increase in temp based on reflective layers then has an amplifying effect on temp anywhere from a 1 degree C to 3 degrees C increase on temperature. For example as the temp increases a small amount of more snow melts exposing more darker land making it even warmer and so on.
