The bettery itself does not increase the power. It only increase's the trigger response and rate of fire.

K so I have a 8.4 v battery that works fine but after a game there is usually still juice in it. My prob is that when I want to go out to the next game I don't know how long to charge if it's not dead. Any ideas? Smart charger?

@jarvisofnewyork Drain your battery till its almost dead then charge for an hour and record how many shots you get out of it till it dies again. and ya after that simple math. #of shots = How many hours of charging

I have a huge problem. I have a JG M4 and a Kraken AK. Both use 8.4v batteries - M4 is NiMh and AK is NiCd. I didn't use either guns for a while, so I took the batteries out. Yesterday I decided to charge the dead M4 battery. I charged it for about 7 hours. I put it in today, and it barely made it to the 5th shot. I would have just said the battery was dead, but once I put the battery in my AK, the thing shoots perfect and fast. Do you think you could help me before I buy a new battery?

@AirsoftNazis Sort of. The battery I'm talking about was the stock battery for the JG M4. So it was an 8.4v, 1100 mAH NiMh Battery. I should mention once before I overcharged it for... a day... because I forgot all about it. So once I charged it again for 7 hours, put it in the M4, it didn't work. Put it in the AK to test it, it worked better than the stock AK battery. I also JUST started to give 'er a little charge, and somehow the ROF came back up a bit. Don't know if it's gonna stay.

@PuddleOfMudd25 thats really strange, we have never encountered a problem like this before. I think there is a problem with the m4 since u r using the same batt and it works fine in the AK. if you have any other batteries i would try using it in the m4 to see if the m4 has the problem or if it really is the battery

But like I said, I just started to charge it (don't really care if it ruins since I need a new one) and for some reason it's shooting again. I guess it's sort of like Mystery Diagnosis: Airsoft Edition...

hey ASnazis since this is about batteries, what would happen if i use a large type battery on an originally small battery type gun (im going to use those small to large battery connector things)

@CoDmanzero you might have a problem where it fits so u might need a place for an external battery and if it has a plastic gear box you might strip the gears, whats the original voltage and the 1 your upgrading?

@AirsoftNazis hell no i dont use an ugly plastic GB, i use a metal one and the OG voltage is a mini 9.6 and im upgrading to a large sized 9.6. i am going to place the battery in an external battery pouch if that answers ur question

Tattoo, on your M4 have you upgraded the battery and if you did I would like to know if you upgrade the 7.2v battery with a 8.4v battery will the gun work better and not have any malfunctions in the long run?

we have used an 8.4 volt a few times and it does seem to shoot a little faster and stronger, the only thing is that were pretty sure the gears are plastic so after a long time of using an 8.4v you might have some problems with the gears

Don't move too much, go where the foliage is the same color as your suit, hide your guns, face, goggles, etc.

@luckytuck888 Normaly you might want to stick to shadows or in bush. Also depending on how gillis suit looks like you might want to find the area that looks like your suit. really is easy. but i would like to know where you've gotten your suite?

@luckytuck888 you must be know ur sniper, if you take a shot @ a enemy too far away then u miss and ur compramised, take shot too close then ur enemy could charge you, one of the biggest things is have your scope be able to hit a target pin point with no hop up, then its choseing BBs, .20, .23, or .25s depending on FPS, 3rd hop up, after you pick BBs and have accurte scope have a freind help you get perfect hop-up, when u zero out scope be patinet, it take A LONG TIME

So I've got a sportline m416 and I think its standard battery runs a 9.6v /1200mAmp battery.

I've modded the electrical systems to fit an exterior block battery that's 12v and 1200mAmp. How much would it affect the gun if it was lower/higher Voltage or lower/higher Amperage?

I know that a larger battery will deteriorate my gun faster, but for now, I'm okay as long as it lasts for a while. kuz OMG it is AWESOME when u got a 12v 7Amp block battery on an AEG. Wicked fire :D
